Chapter 120: He Will Spoil Her
Chapter 120: He Will Spoil Her
Listening to Leo’s voice, Holly really wanted to bury herself completely in the blanket.
It was so embarrassing; she felt she couldn’t face anyone.
"Mrs. Hayes made sweet and sour ribs, minced eggplant, and braised fish. Are you sure you don’t want to come out and eat?"
Leo continued to knock on the door, speaking with a smile in his voice. The young girl had a particular fondness for food, and tempting her with food was the only effective tactic.
Holly swallowed her saliva and lightly bit her lip. Ultimately, under the temptation of delicious food, she crawled out slowly.
"Hungry?"
The bedroom door opened, revealing Holly’s face. Leo looked at her with eyes full of laughter.
The young girl couldn’t resist the temptation of good food and obediently came out.
"Yes."
Holly nodded; just hearing the names of the dishes Leo mentioned made her feel hungry.
No way, that’s just how foodies are; they have a soft spot for good food.
Leo wanted to bring up what had just happened, but looking at the girl’s expression, he ultimately said nothing.
The young girl might get shy, and then what if she doesn’t eat?
He would really worry.
"Let’s go, let’s have dinner."
Leo took Holly’s hand, his tone gentle and pampering.
Holly’s ears turned red instantly, thinking about what happened just now. She couldn’t help but feel shy.
Hmm, could that be considered her first kiss?
Even though it was just a light peck.
Leo pretended not to notice; he wouldn’t dare tease Holly. If she got so shy that she hid away and didn’t eat, that would be bad.
"These are all your favorites."
In the dining room, the table was filled with sumptuous dishes, full of color, aroma, and flavor. They were all dishes Holly liked.
Holly’s face was full of satisfaction. She felt like she could eat herself into oblivion.
Mrs. Hayes’ cooking was truly delicious and mostly consisted of her favorite dishes, catering to her tastes.
"I feel like I can’t live without Mrs. Hayes’ cooking."
Holly sat down, sighed lightly, and said with a face full of helplessness.
Truly delicious; she savored it endlessly.
"In the future, Mrs. Hayes will always cook for you."
Leo looked at Holly lovingly as he meticulously picked the fish bones out for her.
He enjoyed taking care of Holly with all his heart, spoiling her, making her unable to leave him.
The idea was that if the young girl couldn’t live without him, she naturally wouldn’t leave him in the future.
The highest realm of loving someone is to spoil her into a child.
He wanted to spoil Holly into a child.
Holly’s eyes smiled: "Okay."
In fact, she’s always been an easily coaxed girl; a candy or a meal could really win her over.
As long as the person was good, she was pretty good at judging people.
Leo watched Holly eat with a satisfied expression, thought for a moment, and suddenly wondered if he should learn how to cook.
As the saying goes, to capture someone’s heart, you first have to capture their stomach. The young girl was a complete foodie. Capturing Holly’s heart was essentially the same as capturing her stomach.
Maybe he should ask Mrs. Hayes to teach him cooking skills one day. He also wanted to make good food for the young girl and see her satisfied face as she ate his cooking.
"I feel like I can’t do without you more and more."
Holly rested her chin on her hand, watching Leo seriously remove the fish bones. She blinked and spoke earnestly.
Actually, being pampered a lot makes one develop many small faults, and later on, she wouldn’t be willing to handle small matters herself.
Leo would peel shrimp shells, pick out fish bones, insert straws, heat breakfast, warm milk, slice fruit, and cut steaks for her...
Many things, all things she could do herself, were handled by Leo.
"Then don’t leave me. Now, in the future, stay by my side."
Leo placed the de-boned fish into Holly’s bowl, curling his lips slightly, his face filled with a particularly gentle smile.
Holly nodded: "Okay."
After meeting Leo, she realized that shrimps were shell-less, fish were boneless, milk was warm, and fruit was peel-less.
Leo truly attended to her needs meticulously; she felt she could really become an infant, having clothes brought to hand and food handed to her mouth.
In the kitchen, Mrs. Hayes was cleaning up the aftermath, her gaze sweeping across the dining room. Seeing the harmonious pair, a smile appeared on her face.
As long as they were good together, it would be fine.
——
Holly rubbed her sleepy eyes and slowly walked downstairs. From the kitchen came the "sizzling" sounds, the crisp clatter of pots and pans.
Mrs. Hayes usually moved quite gently. Today, though, it was noticeably noisier, waking Holly up.
She usually woke up early, but when it was cold, she loved to sleep in, choosing not to get up unless she had to. Today, the noise kept her from sleeping any longer.
"Mrs. Hayes, what are you making for breakfast?"
Rubbing her eyes, Holly slowly walked toward the kitchen. She stood at the kitchen door, asking curiously.
Her eyes hadn’t fully opened yet, so she hadn’t seen the person’s silhouette in the kitchen.
"Mrs. Hayes went out."
Leo’s voice came from the kitchen.
Hearing Leo’s voice, Holly instantly woke up. She opened her eyes wide, staring into the kitchen in disbelief, looking at Leo inside, somewhat surprised.
Was Leo making breakfast in the kitchen?
"Brother, you... making breakfast?"
Holly blinked; she lightly bit her lip and slowly asked.
"Yes, but..."
Leo nodded, but then stopped.
The kitchen was a mess; pots and pans were scattered on the floor, with several already broken.
Once organized and tidy, the kitchen now looked particularly chaotic.
Holly glanced at Leo and then the disarray in the kitchen, her mouth twitching slightly involuntarily.
Now she was particularly sure that Leo was truly a disaster in the kitchen; it was terrifying for someone who never cooked to make a meal.
"Mrs. Hayes had something come up and asked for a day off."
Leo said, his voice revealing a hint of embarrassment.
It’s quite embarrassing, showing such incompetence in front of Holly, not even managing to make breakfast properly.
"Brother, don’t force yourself. We can eat takeout."
Holly spoke slowly, the smile at the corner of her lips a bit forced.
Ha ha, she didn’t quite know what to say.
Leo might really be allergic to kitchens; making such a mess was probably something only Leo could achieve.
Holly remembered her first time cooking. Although the results weren’t satisfactory, the kitchen didn’t end up that exaggerated.
"I..."
Leo, for a moment, didn’t know what to say. He seemed to be somewhat ashamed in front of Holly.
He was always smart, learned things quickly, and rarely showed such an embarrassed side to others, not expecting to be caught by Holly today, and defeated by cooking.
