The Soft-Hearted Wife of Mr. Big Shot

Chapter 113: Tess Young Appears

Chapter 113: Tess Young Appears

Tess Young and Diana Curtis are like two arch-enemies; when they meet, they just go for each other’s throats, giving off the feeling of old rivals seeing red at the sight of each other.

They never get along.

Tess has an especially sharp tongue, and she can be particularly vicious, often leaving Diana speechless; Diana feels like she’s having a tough time.

Diana always tries to avoid direct contact with Tess because she feels like Tess is her nightmare.

"Oh wow, I’m not allowed to talk now, huh? Clean-up Mrs. Quinn, I picked up the broom for you, hurry up and start sweeping."

Tess picked up the broom Diana dropped on the ground and handed it to her, trying to hold back her laughter.

"Get lost, go cool off somewhere."

Diana grabbed the broom and without a word swung it at Tess.

Luckily, Tess was trained, and easily dodged it.

"Oh my, attempted murder here."

Tess swung her leg at Diana.

The two began to fight in broad daylight, Diana still carrying a broom, the two of them exchanging blows.

"Hey, my broom."

The clean-up lady quickly noticed the situation over there and shouted anxiously, distressed over her broom.

Brooms are meant for sweeping, not fighting, and this is her tool for making a living, her job.

Diana and Tess continued their heated battle, with no intention of stopping.

"Young girl, look at your friends, I don’t want her sweeping anymore, I’ll do it myself."

The clean-up lady clutched Holly Sawyer’s hand, looking anxious, desperately wanting her broom back.

She felt it was such a tough situation.

"Alright, Auntie, I’ll go get it back for you."

Holly awkwardly smiled, then quickly joined Diana and Tess.

Clean-up lady: "???"

What on Earth?

She clearly asked Holly to get her broom back, how did Holly end up joining in?

After a short while, the three of them stopped, with Holly firmly holding the broom, weighing it in her hand.

"Boss, my bad."

"Boss, me too."

Diana and Tess apologized in succession. Originally, they were fighting well, but suddenly Holly intervened, and they both...

suffered a little bit.

Together, they weren’t a match for Holly.

"If you want to fight, go fight over there; the broom is for sweeping, not for you guys to brawl with."

Holly glared at Diana, speaking slowly.

Holly gave the broom back to the clean-up lady, "Auntie, sorry about that."

She apologized to the clean-up lady.

Tess’s sudden appearance left Holly quite surprised, especially since Tess said it would be a few days later; her sudden arrival left Holly speechless.

The clean-up lady hurried away with the broom to sweep elsewhere, clearly intimidated by Diana.

"Spill it, why are you here today?"

Holly fixed her gaze on Tess, slowly questioning.

"Boss, I wanted to surprise you."

Tess touched her nose, looking a bit guilty.

In reality, she just wanted to come early, play for a couple of days, and then go about her own business. But coincidentally, while passing by, she saw someone who looked just like Diana.

Diana, sweeping the streets?

Tess thought about mocking Diana a bit, regardless of why Diana was sweeping the streets; she could always find a reason to mock her.

Tess came over, smiling mischievously, to mock Diana, though the ensuing fight wasn’t what she’d planned.

"I don’t need it, thanks."

Holly stuck her hands in her pockets, speaking slowly, her tone cold.

She really didn’t have a need for any surprises.

Leo Grant’s surprises she wanted, others she didn’t care about.

"Boss, I’m sorry."

In front of Holly, Tess seemed like a wronged wife, looking downcast.

Diana’s mouth twitched unconsciously.

Tsk, a shrew normally, turning into a meek little wife in front of Holly? So hypocritical.

"Tess, can you stop being so disgusting? You know what you’re like, normally a shrew but now a meek wife?"

Diana unhesitatingly exposed Tess, coldly mocking her.

"Hey, what are you implying? Still not tired after the fight, and want another round?"

Tess swiftly changed her demeanor, and cursed back unceremoniously.

The two faced off sharply.

"Who’s going to fight you? Could you stop showing up in front of me? You’re fine in Arkenfall, why come to Bexley?"

"What does it matter to you? I’ll go wherever I want, do whatever I want, stop nagging."

"Then stop showing up in front of me, can you please avoid me next time?"

"I won’t, I’ll go right in front. Your unhappiness is my happiness."

"..."

"..."

Diana and Tess began a war of words, both refusing to give an inch.

Holly found the noise headache-inducing, rubbing her temples in extreme annoyance.

Holly said coldly, "Cut it out."

Diana and Tess immediately shut up obediently; they knew they had to listen to Holly’s words.

Though they each had plenty of dissatisfaction with the other, glaring at one another, they dared not say another word.

Holly’s authority remained intact, and they still feared her.

"When you guys argue, make sure to find a place without me. Constantly arguing like this, be careful or I’ll slice your tongues off."

Holly gently rubbed her temples, speaking with dissatisfaction, her tone cold.

So annoying.

Diana and Tess are like cats and mice, unable to meet without causing chaos.

Tess has the sharper tongue, skillful in speech, while Diana can’t outtalk Tess, though she’s better at handling things physically; fighting becomes inevitable.

Diana and Tess both covered their mouths and stayed silent.

They truly were afraid Holly might slice their tongues off.

"Boss, it won’t happen again."

Diana was the first to state her determination, raising her right hand to show her determination.

"Boss, I promise it’s the last time."

Tess followed suit, raising her right hand as well.

Next time they argue, it had to be somewhere else, not in front of Holly, otherwise their tongues might really be in danger.

Diana always feared seeing Tess, simply to avoid arguing with her, she really wanted to escape Earth for a new life.

But! Every time Diana saw Tess, she couldn’t help but argue with her, for there was nothing about Tess she found pleasing to the eye.

"You two, get out of here, you irritate me just by being around."

Holly walked forward a couple of steps, waving her hand as she spoke, her tone cold.

Earlier she was gloating about Diana. Now, she’s annoyed too.
