Chapter 917 - 932: Tell Your Husband to Shut Up

"Can you take me to my parents’ house?"As soon as Manman said that, Feng Yi furrowed his brows so tightly he could squash a fly: "Why do you want to go back to your parents’ place?"

"Of course I want to stay at my parents’ house. Where else do you want me to stay?"

Feng Yi raised his hand to pinch his brow, trying not to get angry with this girl: "Come back to our own home. Your parents don’t know what happened to you in the United States. Suddenly saying you want to stay there, they’ll think we’re fighting."

Manman paused her typing on her phone. She and Feng Yi living together?

"I think I haven’t seen my parents in a long time. I’ll just go back and live with them. I can just tell them you’re on a business trip."

Manman thought this was a perfectly reasonable excuse and continued to type the unfinished message on her phone.

Feng Yi lifted her phone directly from her hand, turned sideways, and put it in his pants pocket: "If you want to see your parents, I can go with you. Anyway, wherever you go, I’ll go."

Manman took a deep breath, looking at Feng Yi with a hint of dilemma: "Can you give me some time? If we live together now, I’ll feel very awkward."

"Manman, you’re being a bit pretentious. Even though you haven’t regained your memory yet, Feng Yi is your lawful husband. You can’t just keep ignoring him."

Chu Ci, who was in the passenger seat, turned around, paused, and continued, "Besides, going back home might help you regain your memory. After all, it’s the house you and Feng Yi shared, with lots of memories of your life together."

Fu Bin glanced at Manman through the rearview mirror and joked, "I mean, Manman, in the past, if Feng Yi asked you to live with him, you would have agreed right away. Why are you hesitating now?"

"Chu Ci, tell your husband to shut up. It’s like I’m clinging onto Feng Yi."

Chu Ci laughed and patted Fu Bin’s shoulder: "Don’t say things like that anymore. Now it’s Feng Yi chasing our Manman. Who knows if he’ll succeed?"

Chu Ci then looked at the girl again: "Am I right?"

Manman nodded in satisfaction. She really couldn’t stand hearing about how she chased after Feng Yi in the past; it was too embarrassing.

In the dim car, Feng Yi held Manman’s hand tightly, intertwining their fingers: "Fu Bin, take us back to our place."

"Alright," Fu Bin responded while looking ahead.

Manman tried to pull her hand away, but he held it firmly, and their hands stayed clasped the entire way.

Thinking about what Chu Ci said earlier, maybe going back to live would indeed help her regain her memory sooner, so she didn’t say anything further.

The car quickly stopped in front of the villa. Feng Yi took the luggage from the trunk, and once Fu Bin and the others’ car had left the neighborhood, he and Manman went inside.

"Mr. and Mrs., you’re back."

Hearing the door open, the auntie came out from the kitchen, smiling as she took the suitcase from Feng Yi’s hand. Knowing they would be back today, she had specially cooked a full table of dishes for them.

Hearing the auntie call her "Mrs.," Manman awkwardly nodded, bending down to take slippers from the shoe cabinet.

The auntie felt that Manman was a bit different today than usual but couldn’t quite pinpoint what was off.

After changing her shoes, Manman turned her head to look at Feng Yi: "Where’s my bedroom?"
