Chapter 382 - 395: Just because of this, you ran away from home late at night?

Lu Jinghan’s dark eyes, dyed with lustful desire, were filled with a deep, soul-corroding affection, and he almost couldn’t help but want her fiercely right then.Han Xi slightly calmed her chaotic breathing, then took her phone from her bag and answered: "Hello, Manman, is there something you need?"

"I had a fight with Feng Yi. He doesn’t love me anymore. Hurry back, I’m at your house."

On the other end of the phone, the sound of Li Manman crying her heart out could be heard, and Lu Jinghan heard it too.

"Manman, don’t cry. We’ll come back right away."

After hanging up, Han Xi quickly tidied up her slightly disheveled clothes and looked up at Lu Jinghan: "Let’s hurry back. Manman and Feng Yi had a fight, and it sounds serious."

Lu Jinghan pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. He was already raring to go and felt terribly uncomfortable. Li Manman really picked her timing perfectly to have a fight.

He took out his phone from his coat pocket and sent a text to Feng Yi before driving off.

As soon as they returned to the villa, they heard sobbing in the living room. Han Xi bent down to change her shoes at the entrance, then hurriedly walked over, worried.

"What’s going on? Why would you fight out of the blue?"

Seeing Han Xi, Li Manman cried even harder, her tears streaming down like they were free: "I guess I’ve never been important to him. The person he cares about the most isn’t me."

Han Xi gently patted Li Manman’s back: "What on earth happened? Did he bully you?"

Lu Jinghan also sat down in front of the sofa, took a few sips of water from the table, and waited for Li Manman to continue.

"Just now, when I was at home, I asked him who he would save if his mother and I both fell into the water. He didn’t even hesitate before saying he’d save his mom."

"And you ran away from home because of that?"

Han Xi looked at Li Manman’s tear-stricken face, feeling exasperated. It seemed like even kids in kindergarten wouldn’t ask such a childish question these days.

"Am I not supposed to be upset?"

Han Xi leaned down to the table, took out a few tissues, and handed them to Li Manman: "Why assume such an unrealistic scenario?"

"I just wanted to know if I’m the most important person to him, but he blurted it out without a second thought. This means I’m dispensable to him, not important at all."

In her earlier rush, Han Xi had forgotten to take off her coat. Now, with the heater on, she was starting to feel warm.

She stood up, took off her coat, and earnestly consoled her: "If Feng Yi asked you to choose between your father and him, what would you do? Would you save the father who gave you life and raised you, or the man you deeply love?"

Li Manman opened her mouth but for a long moment couldn’t find her voice.

"Alright, stop being stubborn. I’ll call Feng Yi and have him come pick you up."

Just as Han Xi took out her phone, Li Manman stopped her: "Don’t call. If he doesn’t come for me on his own, I won’t go back."

When Li Manman had stormed out, Feng Yi didn’t chase after her at all, and now she couldn’t lose face by reaching out first.

"Okay, I won’t call him. You can stay here tonight, and we’ll talk about it tomorrow."

Li Manman nodded, turned to Lu Jinghan: "Can I have Xiao Xi sleep with me tonight?"

Lu Jinghan had anticipated Li Manman would say this, so he wisely sent a text to Feng Yi earlier, telling him to come immediately and take his girlfriend home.
