Chapter 354 - 229: Legend and Dragon_3

Bloody Scale Frenzy—Dragon's Rage

Wrath

Authority—Wrath

The audience in the great arena held their breath as they watched the Dragon Slayer charge straight at David, who was preparing to unleash a highly compressed breath from his pulmonary flame chamber, aiming directly for David's throat.

In that moment, under the crimson glow, the image of the warrior named Baptiste, making his heroic charge, was seared into the minds of all who had become inexplicably excited.

"Get down!!!" King Klinsmann roared at those who, fixated on the legendary battle with the dragon, had ignored his previous evacuation order and foolishly remained on the viewing platforms.

"Your Majesty!" The captain of the royal guard, Hamad, also darted in front of Klinsmann.

A blinding flash of explosive light erupted, scattering the clouds above the great arena.

BOOM...

An earthquake-like roar followed.

Those who, with crazed eyes and losing control, had started rushing towards the arena were all sent flying by the terrifying shockwave. The Professionals standing closest, confident in their own safety, were either knocked unconscious on the spot or left charred.

"This is impossible!" Kasim, the Martial Arts Chief, having just shaken off the terrible frenzy, waved his cloak to clear the dust and smoke before him. He stared intently at the center of the arena, where Baptiste, though charred and smoking, still stood tall with his spear.

He was simultaneously awestruck by the extraordinary power of both combatants.

David, too, revealed a smile of awe and relief. "No wonder you didn't take the elemental immunity potion. Could it be that the Scarlet Flame from back then was your own little lover?"

With that said, David clenched his winged talons.

From the deep void, dozens, even hundreds, of stone greatswords stabbed forth.

"Ah!!!" However, Baptiste, seemingly under the combined close-range effects of David's Wrath and Dragon's Rage, appeared to have completely lost his mind. His qi and blood surged like a mist, coalescing above him into a phantom resembling a Red Dragon. He swung his great spear wildly, shattering all the incoming stone greatswords, and then thrust towards David's discharge chamber.

The Legendary Power of the Dragon—Brittany's Dragon Blood Frenzy!

"Crap!" Without the Shackle Release Spell, David was forced from his position by the legendary Dragon Slayer for the first time.

At the same time, he quickly realized that this opponent, who seemed to have lost his mind yet still possessed exceptional dragon-fighting experience, had closed the distance on him. His two six-meter Abyssal Iron Greatswords were reduced to mere door panels, only capable of parrying left and right.

After using his tail to sweep aside another strike that felt like it came from a suddenly power-boosted opponent, David plunged both greatswords into the ground. His entire dragon body twisted in a half-pivot, carving another large circle into the earth. He then stomped down. Like a Minotaur's war stomp, the ground within that circle, along with Baptiste, shattered and erupted skyward, sent flying by David's unfurling wings.

To avoid falling into the same disadvantage again, David threw both greatswords. However, he was startled to see Baptiste, who had just cleaved through the shattered stones, also hurl his long spear. It shot through the gap between the two spinning greatswords, rocketing towards him.

However, it was intercepted by David's wing-talons, which snapped shut once more. Amidst the crowd's gasps, the Dragon Slayer—apparently empowered by some Dragon Power granted by an unknown source—used one Abyssal Iron Greatsword, swinging it around to bat the other aside. Blood sprayed from his body as he roared wildly and charged again.

But this inevitably futile assault was met by David, who likewise swung his dragon-horn spear, striking Baptiste as if hitting a golf ball and launching him high off the ground.

David, head held high, sighed and then stamped his foot, disappearing from the spot.

The next moment, unfurling his wings, David appeared in the sky above the legendary Dragon Slayer, Baptiste.

Advanced Teleportation Spell.

Amidst a clang of metal, he drew the exceptionally large Book of the Dragon from the Nirvana Wheel on his chest.

He swung it, and the Book of the Dragon transformed into a Silver Wheel, tracing a radiant circle of light.

Then, towards the Dragon Slayer, who now had no way to gain purchase in mid-air, he abruptly smashed it down!

Brutal Attack.

BOOM!
