The Only Spatial Ability User In The Apocalypse

Chapter 95 Argument

Chapter 95 Argument

Major Kyle fell into deep thought after learning that there was no energy stone inside the mutated fungi.

The rest of the ability users were also puzzled since they all thought that high-level mutated plants and animals possess energy stones.

"This is the first time we are learning that some mutated plants and animals don’t have energy stones," Gio said with a contemplating expression.

Sedin, Drew, and Kheto were also puzzled. They had already discovered the existence of energy stones, but this was the first time they were learning of odd ones.

A soldier walked towards Major Kyle and said, "Major, Doctor Farlo wants to collect some samples."

Doctor Farlo was strictly guarded, and he was riding in the middle of the cars. Because Major Kyle was afraid of unexpected accidents, he strictly forbade Doctor Farlo from stepping out of the car unless necessary.

Doctor Farlo seemed to be interested in the mutated fungi and wanted to study it.

"Alright, bring him," Major Kyle said.

Soon, the soldiers immediately brought Doctor Farlo to Major Kyle.

"My bones are becoming soft from sitting inside the car," Doctor Farlo grumbled as he approached Major Kyle.

"I have no choice, Doctor Farlo. If something happens to you on the way before reaching the capital, then I would have to serve my own head on a silver platter to the president," Major Kyle said half jokingly.

Doctor Farlo also understood, but he couldn’t help but complain.

"It looks like you are escorting a wanted criminal," Doctor Farlo also joked.

"The mutated fungi is also dead, I don’t know if it will be useful or not," Major Kyle said.

"It’s okay, I will take back the samples to study," Doctor Farlo replied as he put on gloves and started collecting the soil and mycelium.

Since the purple mist had already been cleared, Shuan began repairing the road.

"We don’t have earth ability users with us, so we will trouble you. On the journey ahead, let’s assist each other," Gio said to Major Kyle.

Major Kyle had no problem with extra ability users joining them. In fact, it was advantageous for them. He could see that they were all very strong, especially Gio’s wind ability. On the long journey ahead, they didn’t know what dangers they would face, so joining hands to assist each other was a win-win situation for both parties.

When Shuan repaired the road, the ability users and soldiers spread out, keeping watch. They were in the middle of the forest, and dangers might approach anytime, so everyone was vigilantly standing guard.

Since it would take time for Shuan to repair the road, Major Kyle decided to resume the journey the next morning.

Meanwhile, Sylas was resting inside his car. He closed his eyes and sensed his space. After storing the fox inside his space, he didn’t have time to observe it. Now that he had time to observe it, he immediately used his sense to observe the fox.

At the moment, the fox was peacefully sleeping by the pond.

Sylas didn’t understand why the fox was attracted to his space. At the same time, he also didn’t know its origins since it was different from the mutated creatures.

But seeing that it was attracted to his space energy, he wondered if other high-level zombies and creatures were also attracted to his space energy.

Sylas felt that things were not as simple as they seemed, and his previous understanding of this world had already crashed.

The next morning, the group started to resume the journey. Sylas still decided to drive at the rear.

"Are you sure you want to drive at the rear?" Gio asked Sylas.

"Yes, please go ahead," Sylas said to Gio and his companions.

"Alright then, if you encounter something, don’t hesitate to trouble us," Gio said. Although he was puzzled, he didn’t ask many questions.

The convoy of cars once again resumed their journey.

Since the towns and cities had set up safe zones, there was almost no one traveling in this situation. Almost all the survivors were in safe zones, so they didn’t encounter cars or other fellow travelers on the way.

They passed through several small towns and villages on the way. Luckily, there were no high-level zombies present, so Sylas didn’t have to make a move.

The nearest big city was C City, and they were about to reach C City.

As they were nearing C City, they met several cars also heading towards C City.

After driving continuously for almost two days, Sylas was very tired. Aside from stopping for a few minutes every day, the convoy of cars was on a continuous journey.

Just then, the cars in front of them stopped.

Sylas spread out his sense and sensed that several other cars ahead of them were also stuck.

Major Kyle and the ability users also got out of the car to look at the situation ahead.

"What’s going on?" Dylan asked the man ahead.

The man turned back and saw the military cars behind Dylan, and he immediately answered, "There seems to be people arguing ahead, blocking the road."

Major Kyle frowned. What kind of brain-dead people are arguing in this situation? he thought with a frown.

"Spread out and stand guard. Dylan and Shuan, come with me," Major Kyle said.

The ability users and soldiers immediately stood guard. The others at the front were immediately intimidated by the aura and made way for Major Kyle and his companions.

Arriving at the front, they saw two groups of people arguing.

"These supplies belong to us, we came first," one of the men said.

A lady on the other side yelled back, "We were the ones who killed the zombies, so the supplies belong to us."

"Don’t talk like you guys killed them all alone. We also helped kill them," the man yelled back.

"You guys barely managed to kill two zombies and you dare claim supplies. Even if you guys hadn’t killed those two zombies, we could have easily taken them down without your help," the lady argued back.

The man was so angry at the lady that he slammed his hand on the overturned car.

Bang!

"Come, then let’s fight. The winner will take the supplies," the man said, gritting his teeth.

"If you wish to fight, then I will gladly accept it. Just don’t beg me later to spare you," the lady said as wind started howling around her.

Wind energy!

Major Kyle raised his brows.

At the same time, the man clenched his fist as water started surging out of his palms and coiled around him like a dragon.

Their companions immediately started to persuade them not to fight, but the lady and the man didn’t listen to their companions.

"Stop it, we are blocking the way and creating a commotion. If we continue, we might attract other high-level zombies or creatures, which will not be good for us."

"Let’s just divide it, don’t fight."

"Yes, yes, that will be better."

Their companions started to persuade them while glancing apologetically at the onlookers.

"Not a chance, we are not giving away anything to them," the lady who seemed to be the leader and strongest among them said sternly.

The man was equally stubborn. "Why should we divide it? It rightfully belongs to us."

The water around him condensed into water spears and immediately attacked the lady.

The lady quickly used her wind to block the water spears.

The water spears shot out again like arrows.

The lady’s eyes narrowed as she lifted her hand and the wind around her surged violently.

Whoosh!

A spinning wall of air formed instantly in front of her. The incoming water spears struck the wind barrier and were deflected sideways, splashing across the ground.

Several spectators stepped back quickly to avoid getting drenched.

The man snorted coldly.

"You think a little wind can stop me?"

He thrust both hands forward.

More water surged from the puddles and damp soil around the road. The liquid gathered rapidly, twisting and condensing into several thick water whips.

They lashed forward.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

The wind barrier trembled under the impact. The lady took a step back, but her expression remained calm.

"You talk too much."

Her fingers flicked sharply.

The wind around her suddenly condensed into several thin blades.

Shhhk!

The blades of compressed air shot forward and sliced directly through the water whips.

Splash!

The water scattered everywhere. The man’s eyes flashed. He stomped his foot and drew more water toward him. The scattered liquid on the road rose again, gathering behind him like a rising wave.

"You forced this!"

He swung his arm downward.

Boom!

The gathered water surged forward like a crashing tide.

Gasps erupted from the surrounding crowd.

"That’s too much!"

The lady’s brows furrowed slightly. She raised both arms. The air around her roared.

At the same time, Sylas, who was at the back, immediately sensed something and quickly sat straight.

Something was approaching, and he sensed it.
