The Only Aura User In Magic World

Chapter 999: Two Master Level Mages at the School

Chapter 999: Two Master Level Mages at the School

"We were sure that this city is safe from the cult as we have investigated it for a while. But it seems like we were wrong. I’m sorry for our failure in checking everything."

The one who said that was an agent who was the leader of the investigation team in this city. Just an expert level mage.

He apologized because he and his team failed to find any clue about the cult. They thought that this city is safe. But turns out, they were wrong. As a teacher is now threatening the mother of one of the royal palace’s maids with the lives of the students. While the students themselves didn’t realize that their lives were being targeted.

If it’s just being targeted, then it’s fine. But if that teacher turned out to have spreading the cult’s teachings to them, then we might have to face more enemies than expected.

I called them enemies because the students in the introductory school should have awakened their magic. And at that age, they are already considered as adults. So I don’t mind killing them.

"We have to be careful. We don’t know how deep the cult’s influence in this city is," Wendy said.

After we got the news, we quickly prepared a plan to save the students. By sending two of the most powerful professors in the world. Wendy and me.

We’re going there for academic purpose. Going to an introductory school as two educators and see if there are any talented students that we like to give advice to.

It’s a new program that Albert created to improve the skills and magic of students who had just awakened their power so they can improve even more. To become someone useful for the kingdom in the future.

Though it’s still not spread publicly yet, but there have been some school that have been visited by other agents before. But those agents were just expert level mages or even lower level, but they have the enough knowledge in how to get stronger. For the weak professors, they just didn’t have enough talent to be stronger. But their guidance is still as good as any other powerful professors.

I only heard of this program from Albert after we got the report. Though I didn’t really care. But it became easier for me to move around from school to school without alerting the cult too much.

They might still be suspicious. But it’s better than just coming to a school for no reason at all.

The teacher who threatened the maid’s mother and the maid’s mother herself should be there. Let’s hope that the maid’s mother and the students will be safe.

We didn’t hear much about the teacher who threatened the maid’s mother from the maid. But after we got the news, we found out that there were several suspects.

Because many mages prefer to fight and hunt monsters, it’s rare for any of them to choose the way of an educator. So the school easily accepted anyone who wanted to become a teacher. Even if they came from far away and their backgrounds were unclear.

We have three suspects. Three teachers who recently hired by the school in the last few years with unclear background. But I don’t need to check the agent’s report. I just need to find someone who is a master level mage and hid his power.

And surprisingly, I found two people. And they’re both inside the school building.

Now that I have become this strong, I can somehow analyze the strength of other people by the magic in their surroundings. Seems like Divine Vision works as a way to analyze people’s magic level. Though it’s not like it’s without a flaw.

If someone is good at magic control and hiding their power, I won’t be able to tell if they’re master level mages or not. But magic control is still not a widespread knowledge at this time. So I can tell if someone is a master level mage.

And I found two without having to look at them in the eyes and wait until they noticed me looking. And the two of them were at school.

"Wait, two master level mages. Both at school. One is among the suspicious people, while the other is not," I said.

"Two people? That’s suspicious. Do you think that the two of them are master level mages? And which one is the one from the report?" Wendy asked.

I pointed at a picture of a young man about my age from the report. They actually drew pictures of them for me because they knew well that I’m bad at remembering names.

"The other two people didn’t even react when I look at them with my Divine Vision. But that doesn’t make them free from suspicion. Continue investigating them," I said.

"What about the other one?" Wendy asked me.

"He’s an old man with white hair and long beard," I said.

"...He’s the principal of the school. He should have been in that position for twenty years. Who would have thought that there’s already a master level mage staying in this city for a long time? White hair and long beard? Who knows how old that old man is?" Wendy said.

I continued watching the school and see that the suspicious young man left the school ground. When he passed by an old female teacher, that teacher seemed afraid of him. While the young man pretended to be friendly. Seems like that female teacher is the mother of the maid.

"That young man seems to be the one threatening the maid’s mother. I also found her. That man left the school. He doesn’t seem to notice us. Check everyone related to him and see if they’re with the cult or not," I said to the agents.

The agents then left. Leaving me and Wendy at the inn. This inn is also owned by an agent here. Used as a base for the agents to meet and gather their Intel about this city.

Now I know the man’s appearance. Let’s see about the old man.

...Is that a challenge?

"Roy, what’s wrong? You’re smiling all of a sudden," Wendy said.

"That old master level mage is good. He noticed me looking at him even when I didn’t look at him in the eye. But he continued acting normally until the master level mage from before left the school building. He wrote ’come here as soon as possible’ on a piece of paper and showed it to me. He might be stronger than any average master level mage," I said.

"What should we do?" Wendy asked.

"Well, seems like he only noticed me. I’m going there and greet him. What do you want to do?" I asked Wendy.

"...I’ll go with you. If he is not from the cult and has something important to tell, I won’t forget what he said," Wendy said.

Well, I’m sorry that I’m stupid, okay?

We got the invitation from the principal of the school we’re watching. I hope he’s not with the cult.

Well, even if he’s with the cult, I’m confident enough to be able to kill him. Because I don’t think that he’s at Timmy’s level yet. That level beyond master level.

We walked normally to school. And when we get close and no one seemed to be looking at us, we quickly fly to the open window to the principal office in the school. Meeting the principal directly.

Of course I didn’t fly myself. Or he will find that I’m an Aura user. I had Wendy carried me to the office room.

"Thank you for accepting my invitation. There have been many people watching this school in just this morning alone. Can you tell me what’s going on?" the old man asked.

"You’re pretty confident to invite us here. If you want to make us trust you, how about you wear this collar and tell me where if you’re with the cult or not," I said as I threw him a Magic Restricting Collar.

"You want me to wear this thing? Who are you guys?" the old man asked.

"Someone who hates the cult the most. I’m sure that you don’t have any trouble wearing that collar. With your strength alone, you can rip them off of your neck easily," I said.

"You’re right. Fine, I will wear it. Now, can you tell me what’s going on?" he asked.

Now that he wore the collar, I’m sure if he could use telepathy to communicate with his familiar, he won’t be able to do it now.

So as soon as I confirmed it, I quickly grabbed him. He tried to resist, but I’m still stronger than him.

Then I opened a portal to Albert’s location and threw him inside the portal. I looked at Wendy before I entered the portal and she nodded. Telling me that she will stay there and wait until my return.

We made this plan on the way here. Of course I told Albert as well. And he agreed to do it. Because an old man who reached master level and becoming a principal of a school is suspicious.

The old man looked angry at first. Then the first thing that he saw was someone’s mustache. Obviously because Mustache was there to protect Albert.

Then the old man looked around and finally sees Albert. And he realized where he is now.

"Greeting, Your Majesty."

Seems like he’s not an enemy. But I’m not sorry for throwing him into the portal. He’s strong after all.

Now, what will we gain from him? I hope it’s something useful.
