Chapter 905: It’s Time to Go Back Home

That was very long.

I slept on a mountain for Victoria and Shirley to watch my past. Then we discussed about everything that happened in my past life and has been prevented in this life. It took so long for us to talk about it.

But finally, we’re done!

...Though that doesn’t mean that I’m free from others’ insult. Some of them even still talking about how I’m not supposed to be the one who got returned back to the past.

Well, there’s Timmy though. But I killed him so I’m really the only one left. But I don’t think that Timmy is any good to be chosen as someone who will change the future. He’s a battle addict.

Well, that’s because I’m strong though. If it’s any other person who got returned back to the past and become strong enough, then they can do the same as well.

I guess in the end it’s just Aura that makes me the best choice. But let’s not talk about it anymore.

"Then, let’s finish the meeting now. It took a while, but we have watched everything. About the truth of the future that we’re trying to prevent. So we will meet next month like usual if there’s no emergency," Lynn said. Though it was Claudia who suggested to her to say that.

Seriously, what has she done as the Empress? Doesn’t it feel like Claudia is the one in charge?

Well, as long as they trust each other, then that’s fine. Even the citizen in the Empire never complained. Or it’s more like they don’t know what to complain since all of Claudia’s achievement, Lynn took credits for most of them.

I guess they’re just best friend instead of an Empress and her aide. Though they are doing really well.

Consenza were not under attack by the cult when I visited that place for the first time. That time when I traveled with Celestine who is now staying in Consenza.

While Varadis was close to being taken over, Arturo has the king swapped, Consenza was not being attacked at all. Maybe the cult decided to take care of Consenza later after they finished taking care of those two other kingdoms.

As for Tatrama, it was also so close to being gotten rid of thanks to the Albert’s hidden guard. Though I killed him now so it’s fine. But how did Tatrama able to survive for so long then? I guess Albert was just that capable.

And so, I brought everyone back to their home. With everyone from Tatrama except for Randy and few others I transported last.

And so, we are all gathering here in Albert’s place. The royalty and us from Cassau.

"Roy, when will you go back to your home village?" Albert asked.

"I can go there anytime I want. Though I will need to go back to Melk first because I never put a Blobby in that village," I said.

"If you’re going back to Melk, then we will come as well. There are also few hunters who might have potential to become strong there. And I found some places that I want to investigate there," Kayla said.

"Me too. I found some agents in Roy’s past that I have not met for a while. I’m going to meet them," Candy said.

Seems like everyone has their own plan for when we go to Melk. I guess we will split up then.

"Then it will be just me and Albert who will go to the village then," I said.

"Yeah. Maybe the Village Chief has some secrets that he can’t tell other people about the former king. If it’s just us, he won’t feel reluctant to tell us about it. Though if there’s nothing important, let’s just go home right away," Albert said.

He’s the one who said that the Village Chief might know something important about the former king. But he became negative right away.

"Well, let’s just move tomorrow then. I’ll visit Oleg for a while before moving to the village. Then I will open a portal when I reached the village after I found where the chief is," I said.

"Don’t open a portal in front of other people. You never bother to go there after leaving. So, there might be some cult members in hiding in that village," Albert said.

Right. I never bother to go there again because I thought that I have no more connection with that village. Even if I met the chief now, he might not recognize me.

"Then I’ll call you after I found the chief," I said.

After we discussed our next move, I brought everyone back to Cassau to rest.

They have seen a lot. They realized that they died in my past life. Not all, but they thought that they must be dead since they didn’t see themselves in the illusion at all.

Like Candy for example. She was captured by the gang that worshiped Celestine and Veronica. She might either be dead or worse. Abused by those people.

Though it’s good that both Celestine and Veronica are with us now. They even reached master level now.

It’s just unfortunate that the cult didn’t care much about them leaving and just look for their substitutes. If they kept looking for Celestine and Veronica, we have some countermeasure prepared already. I wonder if they have found them now.

The next day, I brought everyone to Melk in the morning. And when the others were doing their own business, I visited Oleg who is in his house with his family and told him about everything. He’s someone I can trust, so it’s fine.

"I see. So you’re His Majesty’s brother. And the others were busy trying to find clues in this city related to your past life and recruit some potential members for the army. That’s good," Oleg said.

"Yeah. And I’m here to ask you if you know anything about the village I talked about. Is it still there? And has the chief been changed or is it still the same?" I asked.

"That village is quite far from here, but I do hear the news that the chief has been changed. But it’s not because of the previous chief’s death. So I hope that you can find him," Oleg said.

"Then I’ll take my leave. I’m going to go there and bring Albert there," I said as I was about to leave his house.

"Wait. Is that all you have to talk about with me here? You’re not going to ask me to join the army?" Oleg asked.

"Is that why you quit being a guard? Because you thought that the army will invite you? If you want to, you can just join. If you need recommendation, I can even ask Albert to write one. As for me, what I need from you is just to get stronger so you can protect your family and everyone else. The war is not over yet. Whether you fight in the army or fight on your own, you can do whatever you want," I said.

Whether he joined the army, return back as a guard of Melk, staying as a hunter, or retire and only think about his family, I don’t mind. As long as he’s still trying to get stronger.

"Roy, I’ll take that chance then. Take me to the Spirit Mountain and make me a master level mage. But I can’t leave my family on their own. So bring them to safety before I go," Oleg said.

"Sure. We won’t go there soon. But I’ll make sure that you will be one of the people who will go there first. As for your family, I’ll take them to Cassau. It’s safer there since we have more master level mage now," I said.

Nice. We have another potential master level mage. And even if it’s just in one city, he has quite the reputation in that city. He might be able to lead everyone from this city to war. Maybe I’ll get Sunglasses to tutor him about strategy.

I walked out of the city normally. Leaving through the gate. Seeing everyone familiar and unfamiliar for me.

I see some hunters I recognized. They were my classmate at school. I guess they are doing fine.

There’s also Mr. Wig still teaching at the school when I looked from the outside. He changed his wig. But that doesn’t make him any younger. Though he’s now targeting another female teacher. Someone I don’t know. I guess she’s here as a replacement for Wendy.

Wendy is also at the school. I guess there are some other agents at the school. They’re talking for a bit.

The others also found someone they recognized and talked with them. I guess it’s just me who doesn’t have a lot of friends.

Well, it’s time to go. After leaving the gate, I see that the gatekeepers are the people who know me. So I don’t need to hide my power and just summon Ray right away.

It’s time to go back home.
