Chapter 882: Climbing the Mountain

It’s the day for us three to climb the mountain. Me, Victoria, and Shirley. With Airy and Breezy by my side. They want to climb the mountain with me even though they can just go to the paradise on their own. I guess that’s okay.

And even though helper is not allowed, we will still have one. Though she’s a ghost and can’t do anything to help other than for communication purpose.

Then we have Kron, Wendy, and Veronica who has reached master level, to come with us to the bottom of the mountain.

"Kron, Wendy, and Veronica, you three will come with us to the bottom of the wall. Once Sonia informed you when someone is falling, it’s your job to grab us," I said.

"I thought that you are confident to climb that wall?" Veronica asked.

"Just in case. And even though I haven’t reached the top yet, the cold there was unbearable even when I’m covering myself with Aura. And now that the stocking is with Shirley, it’s impossible for me to block the cold," I said.

"To think that you would wear that stocking... Good thing that Shirley was the one who got picked. Because I surely don’t want to wear that thing," Kron said.

I actually thought that Shelia is more suited for this. But if it’s her, if she get bored, she would just give up because it’s not a fight. So Shirley is the best choice.

Also, if it’s Shelia, she’s also my familiar. Which means that I can get all three wishes since Victoria is already picked. So everyone suggested someone else who will be fair. Which was Shirley.

If it’s Shirley, even though she’s a princess of a country, she won’t just make a wish about something that will only benefit the country. And even if she has a selfish wish, it won’t be anything that can be considered bad. She’s someone everyone can trust.

"What about the others?" the spirit asked.

"They will catch us if we fall. Though we also have a ghost so we can communicate with each other. Is that fine?" I asked the spirits as I introduced Sonia to them.

"Hmm... she’s not anyone’s familiar. She can be considered as a wild monster, so I think it will be fine as long as she doesn’t help you climbing the wall," the spirit said.

"That’s good. Then, let’s discuss the plan again. I will climb first normally. Then, Victoria will follow my move. Victoria will climb in her long slimy form so Shirley can see which rock she needs to grab to climb the wall. But once I reached the cold region, I will increase my pace. So Victoria won’t be able to follow me. And she will have to pick the path by herself or ask Sonia who will be watching the wall," I said.

Since we have Sonia, it should be easy.

The fastest one, me, will climb as fast as possible. The next one, Victoria, should be able to do well climbing the wall since she’s a monster. I hope the cold won’t stop her.

The last one is Shirley because she’s a human. And since she can’t stuck her body on the wall like me, it’s obvious that she will be the slowest. That’s why I gave her the fishnet stocking. This way, she can take her time.

With this, it’s possible that all three of us can reach the peak. But let’s hope that the cold is the only obstacle we have other than our own stamina.

As for the others, they will wait here. I prepared some tents for them.

At least Wendy and Veronica will stay. Wendy is patient, and Veronica can read books as much as she wants there.

As for Kron, he might leave when he got bored. At least Wendy and Veronica won’t.

After everyone is ready, we started climbing according to the plan.

For now, I will climb using my hands to show the others where they should grip as they climb.

They followed me diligently. So I increase the pace a bit to see if they can go faster. And the can still go faster.

Both Shirley and I have five bottles each. Air is something important that we need, and at this height, oxygen is very thin. So I made ten bottles.

We can’t go too fast. Or the decline of oxygen can give you hallucination. And we can’t go too slow because we will get too tired. Especially since there’s no place for us to rest.

But for me, I only have one thing to do. To climb the wall as fast as possible. Ignoring how little the oxygen will be.

As long as I can have my feet touching the wall, everything will be okay if I continue running up.

"Sonia, tell Victoria and Shirley that I’ll leaving them now. It’s too cold for me to stay too long without any protection," I said.

If Sonia wants to catch up to me, she can only do so using her teleportation skill to the soil I carried.

I stepped on the Blobby to destroy it. To signal Victoria that I have reached where we left off before.

It’s so freaking cold! If I stop moving, I’m sure that I would freeze! But up above is a paradise for spirit? Does that include fire spirit?

If so, then I’m sure it will be warm.

I will make sure that I complete the task and have the Spirit King to grant my wish. The cult’s destruction!
