Chapter 1173: Protect Our Kingdom!

We will be fine fighting in the Monsters World. Because even if we end up getting pushed back, we still have Andro. And it’s also possible that Pawzer will help. Although the possibility of that is low, he might still help.

Everyone is spreading while I’m staying behind with Red. They said that Red is smart so maybe they thought that he could be a strategist as well.

"Aren’t you too busy with your life here?" I asked Red.

"It is. But it’s fun. I can do something that the others can’t do. I always felt that I’m too weak compared to the other werewolves. In fact, I felt ashamed of my strength. So I decided to improve in other talents. And I discovered what I’m good at and the former Werewolf King appointed me as the vice-leader of the tribe even though I’m weak. I know that I will never be higher than that but I’m satisfied because no one is looking down on me. Then you appeared and gave me even more important job. I might not be your familiar but I believe my loyalty to you is unbreakable," Red said.

Maybe. I don’t know about that. But I hope he’s right that he’s loyal.

Still, for someone to love working so much, I guess something is wrong. Or maybe I’m the wrong one for not wanting to work as hard as other people.

Red has found what he’s good at and wants to prove everyone that he’s the best at it. That’s why he doesn’t want to stop. And he will only work harder.

As the King, it’s good since I don’t have to work too hard. But even with his great stamina, he still needs some rest.

"Once this battle is done, get some rest. You have worked too hard. How about you find other monsters who felt the same way as you and guide them to their potential so they can help the kingdom? Then your work can be reduced since you can share it," I said.

"I see. If I share my work with other monsters, I will have more free time. More free time means I can focus on other works. My King, you have great wisdom. I will do as you say," Red said.

Oi, that’s not what I meant! But I hope he will not get burnout with so much work to do. He’s just that good.

"What about going to Earth and watch other Kings and their aides work? You might be able to learn from them," I said.

If I let him stay here, he will just continue to work. But if I send him to Earth, he will stop working under the guise of learning from other people like Claudia, Toni, Sunglasses, and other exceptional people.

...As if we need a strategy. The werewolves and weretigers prefer to fight however they want. The dragons might listen, but they like fighting on their own term more. The angels will focus mainly on healing. Then the rest will do their own things as well.

Well, if it’s just something like "you go there" then it might be possible.

Also for Graham, to be safe, we made Georgia stay with Maya for Maya’s protection and so Graham won’t be distracted to protect Georgia.

Soon after, I can see a lot of monsters approaching the Kingdom. I’m sure everyone is excited.

If this place is destroyed, we can build it again. Everyone here is fighters. Non-fighters have been evacuated. And I’m sure that we can defend this kingdom. Though I won’t like any casualty. I hope they won’t die.

I got reports from Shelia that she is already in combat with the enemies. She discovered few humans but there are a lot of monsters. They must be sending their tamers here to fight.

A lot of those monsters obeyed the order of their masters and rushed to my kingdom without stopping even though Shelia and the others are fighting them. But I’m sure the tamers will change their orders after realizing that they won’t get close enough.

Even if they do get close enough, there’s nothing they can do in this kingdom. It’s empty!

They should have focusing on reducing my force by defeating the monsters. But they must be thinking that we are building some secret invention in the kingdom.

And yes, we are. We are trying to build submarines. Though at the moment, the Blacksmith and the other humans have been returned back to Earth because of the enemy attack. And even the submarine I got from the mermaids as well. It’s no longer here.

"Sniff... I smell the scents of monsters I don’t know about," Red said. Even though he’s weaker than other werewolves, his sense of smell is still great.

I used my Divine Vision and I can see a lot of monsters I don’t know. And there are even several Giant Salamanders as well.

Well, I don’t think any of them will give us trouble. What about the sea?

’Crabbe, how is it at the sea?’ I asked Crabbe who is at the sea near the tunnel that leads to the artificial lake here.

’There are a lot of fishes moving weirdly. They are not like usual. I think there will be some enemies coming from the sea,’ Crabbe said.

’Alright. I’ll leave everything in the water to you the Crab People and the mermaids,’ I said.

"Over there! They have living armors there. I think their armor is too strong that the elves’ arrows are not enough to pierce them. Please send some weretigers there," Red said.

The enemies are now within his sight that is already far better than ordinary human’s sight. And I contacted Shelia to send some weretigers near her to go to where the elves are fighting.

’Strong armor? I’ll go there myself!’ Shelia said.

’No. Because it seems like in your location, there will be stronger monsters than living armors. Well, it’s up to you which one you want to fight,’ I said. This is also according to Red’s command. He already knew that Shelia will try to go there by herself.

’Stronger enemies? Hmm... I’ll stay here. I’ll get the weretigers to move there,’ Shelia said.

Though it’s true. There seem to be stronger monsters than living armor in her direction. Though in the direction of the living armors, there are also other stronger monsters.

So far, the angels haven’t moved even though there are monsters in the air. But we can allow that since the dragons are fighting in the air. And so far, there’s no one injured badly enough to need healing magic from the angels.

I can’t really see the sea well from here. But from Crabbe’s report, it seems like the mermaids are doing well fighting the monsters at the sea even though I told them that using poison is their last resort.

That’s right. They are not using poison yet. Because for them to use poison, they have to bleed. Even if they have the antidote, it’s best for them to not bleed so much because we don’t know how many more monsters will come.

And once the battle becomes harder, I sent the angels to fight and to heal. I also gave an order to Victoria and Ray to eliminate the humans mixing with the monster army. Because they must be the tamers.

’Roy! They disappeared! They have space mages mixing among them! Maybe some of the tamers are space mages!’ Victoria reported via telepathy.

She was so close to someone and then that person disappeared. Seems like I have to join.

...Or maybe not. Because we have an unlikely ally helping us.

"Hey, I’m here to help. After many things happened, I will stop being passive anymore. I’m still afraid but I will try to not be afraid even if there’s someone who can follow my speed."

That’s Pawzer. He’s going to help.

With his speed, he could kill space mage before they realized that he’s so close.

I thought that he will at least help us once Andro decided to join. But it seems like he has changed. He will fight with us.

This is great. It really is a good idea to build a village and change it to a kingdom. To make a home for these monsters. And these monsters will try their best to protect their home.

Now, I still won’t move. But I might move if there will be another wave of monsters.
