Chapter 1135: Parade

Everyone is busy. I didn’t mean Fabio, Maya, and those who are attending their wedding. I also mean everyone in the capital.

Because of their wedding, there are more people coming to the capital of Arturo. They opened street food stalls and do many things.

There will be a parade first. Then the party inviting all the Kings and nobles to the palace. I won’t attend that party. But there will be another party for us Fabio and Maya’s friends later. Just because we don’t want to get involved with some annoying nobles in the formal party.

For the parade, Fabio and Maya will ride an open horse carriage where all the citizens can see them. They will ride from the Duke’s house, Maya’s father, to the capital. Not directly. They will take detour so everyone can see them.

And there will be a camera following the two of them. A master level wind mage who is one of Arturo’s soldiers will follow Fabio and Maya. Then the large screen in the square will show everyone in the square the two happy couple.

It’s nearly impossible even to just stay on the route to wait for the carriage to pass them by. It’s too crowded. That’s why we utilize the large screen in the square so everyone can see.

There are even people on the rooftop. Not people who wants to watch. They’re the soldiers.

We had to block anyone from watching Fabio and Maya from the rooftop because of how easy it will be for the enemy to target Fabio and Maya from the rooftop. And for today, other than soldiers, no one is allowed to fly in the sky.

I look at Claudia when Lynn said that.

"...Did she really say that?" I asked Claudia.

"Since she thinks that she works a lot, then I’ll make that wish come true when we return," Claudia said.

"Wait, no! I didn’t wish for something like that!"

"Celestine, what about you?" I asked Celestine.

"It’s too crowded here. And it’s annoying that some people tried to use this chance to grope me," Celestine said.

"It’s because you stop wearing those flattening underwear again. At least try to not wear tight clothing," I said.

At some point, Celestine stopped wearing those flattening underwear. I wonder why she did it. So I ask her today.

And I stopped trying to eat it.

"It’s no different than a horse anyway," he said.

By this time, Lynn and the others who were interested in buying the meat stopped doing it. And they just look at the skewer in my hand.

"A monster with intellect that you can communicate with, you eat it?" I asked.

"It’s the lower-half, sir," he said.

"But the upper-half is human," I said.

"Still a monster though."

"And you’re fine with it?" I asked.

"I mean it is a monster. Their meat is delicious," he said.

Yup. I won’t eat this anymore. And I’ll ask all shop what kind of meat they use after this.

Even if they are monsters, I can’t imagine myself eating their flesh and meat.

No wonder this stall is empty. He’s selling centaur’s meat.

"No way anyone who knows what a centaur is will want to eat this. Here, you can have it back," I said as I give the skewer back to the stall-owner.

"I see. Then I need to change how I’m advertising it. Horse meat skewer! Horse meat skewer, everyone! It’s delicious!"

Not only he didn’t change the ingredient, he even lied. It’s good that I found it first.

"Then we’ll look around a bit more," Lynn said.

"Don’t go too far. Stay in the square, okay?"

If they’re too far, I can’t react quickly if anything happen to them. Even if they are wearing disguises, it doesn’t mean that their real identity won’t be discovered.

Last night was fun. We just enjoyed our time and I don’t really have to protect the others. So I can enjoy it.

But now, everyone is busy enjoying themselves. So I can’t really enjoy the food.

Still, I found some suspicious people. They are too suspicious. But I don’t think they’re master level mages. And if they tried to do anything to the Kings here, the bodyguard can protect them.

I see someone trying to steal Marie’s wallet. But Shirley who is walking around with Marie and Albert stopped the thief and brought him to a nearby guard. And the guard is taking him away.

Albert and Marie are enjoying their family time with Alan, Lana, and Shirley who is also acting as their bodyguard. They actually invited me but I refused. I have to watch everything after all.

And while I was looking at the thief who was taken away by the guard, I noticed that the guard is releasing the thief. They are working together it seems.

After improving my senses, I can now hear from this distance. The hardest part is to isolate what I want to hear. So it’s difficult but possible.

I can hear the guard telling the thief to be more careful when stealing. The thief was lucky that the guard was his friend.
