Chapter 1123: Way Too Strong
Chapter 1123: Way Too Strong
"Oh, you can really see the buildings from far here. They are as tall as the buildings in my world," Victoria said as soon as we entered the portal that leads us to near the city of the cult.
This is where the cult shouldn’t notice the magic when I use my portal. And after entering and checking the area with my Divine Vision, this place is safe.
Since Victoria can’t fight without Ray, it’s just Angela and I here ready to fight.
"They’re really tall. Is this how it is in your world?" Angela asked Victoria.
"Obviously not everywhere is like that. Those big buildings are usually in the city. Away from the city and you won’t find many of them. Also, those buildings look different than what I know. Wait, are they round building and not square?" Victoria asked.
"Not all of them are round. Some are square. But most of them are round. Maybe it’s because it’s easier to make round building with earth magic," I said.
"Are there only members of the cult in that city?" Angela asked.
She wanted a confirmation before she uses her magic to test her new strength. She’s afraid that there will be casualties that are not members of the cult.
"Only members of the cult. I can confirm it. There are not even a single children or pregnant women in there. You can go wild as much as you want," I said.
"What about you?"
"I’ll take care those who didn’t die because of your attack. Or maybe you can do it alone?" I asked.
"How many of them are there?"
"Even after killing so many of them, there should still be more or less a million people. I think around half of them are master level mages. And I don’t think they will be able to do much. After causing trouble so many times, they couldn’t get enough rest because they don’t know when I will appear. You can kill everyone," I said.
"Then I will do so."
As soon as she said that, she flew on her own. And she left me behind with Victoria who is sitting on my shoulder in her slime form.
"...She’s much faster than before. Her speed can be compared with Ray or Spot. Even Shirley and Wendy who are master level wind mages are not that fast," Victoria said.
"Isn’t that great? And just now, she even used fire magic to boost her speed to make herself even faster. I think she’s already as fast as Ray in his fastest speed. But I think she’s just a bit slower than Pawzer in his normal speed that he usually uses. But if it’s his fastest speed, Pawzer is still faster," I said.
Though with the current Angela, I think she can defeat Pawzer even if he uses his fastest speed.
"Well, we can’t just leave her to fight on her own. Let’s follow her," I said.
"You’re not going to summon Ray?" Victoria asked.
"Even if it’s him, he can still get tired after you rode him into battle every day. Let him rest."
So I started running in the air to chase after Angela.
And while running, I can see that she already stopped in the air. Looking down at the city from above. And obviously, the cult members in that city already found her.
Many mages who can fly are approaching her. She’s not wearing any disguise so everyone can tell who she is. The winner of the tournament and also someone who has participated in many battles against the cult, Angela. So they are hostile toward her.
Some also noticed already that I’m coming. But they choose to pay attention to Angela instead.
Angela just calmly floated in the air. Then without any warning, the earth under the city moved. Earth Spikes protruded from the ground and reach as high as the sky to kill each and every single flying mages.
Quick and accurate. And she did it without making any gesture or chanting anything. She’s already that good.
"...That’s scary. That’s stronger than Kayla’s earth magic or Celestine who is supposed to be our strongest earth mage. Seems like Angela had just became the strongest in four elements," Victoria said.
"Isn’t that great? Look at how quick her magic was. Even master level wind mages couldn’t block them. And each spikes pierced several mages," I said.
The spikes are not thick. They are thin. But from the ground, it pierced several of them in a short time before it reaches the wind mage flying closest to her.
I actually used my vision power that allows me to see things in slow motion when she used that magic. So I know how well she is in magic control.
The spikes she created, none of them are stabbing straight to the sky. All of them actually turned to chase after different people closest to the previous target that the spike pierced before. That’s something that even Celestine can’t do. Or at least I have never seen her do something like that.
If it’s fire magic, ice magic, or wind magic, Angela can create them from nothing. So she should be able to do that easily.
But instead of them, she used earth magic even though she’s flying quite high from the ground.
"...Yup, I don’t think she will need that sexy dress anymore. But if she wants to wear it, I think that will make her stronger. What do you think, Victoria? Should I give that dress to Angela?" I asked Victoria for her opinion.
"...It’s good if she becomes stronger. But let’s make the other stronger as well. Candy is good enough since she has lightning element and fire element. And Angela doesn’t have lightning element," Victoria said.
She’s right. Lightning element is the magic with the most destructive power. So if Candy’s lightning magic becomes even stronger, that will be helpful for us.
"Well, the dress should be done already, right? It’s already designed well enough to not reveal too much like before. It should be fine for anyone to wear it. I’ll have Candy wear that then," I said.
Now that I’m already next to Angela, I didn’t do anything. Because Angela alone is enough to face everyone here.
The buildings under here have been destroyed. But the city is huge so there are still some other buildings. Though because of the quake that happened after she used her earth magic, some buildings are slowly falling down.
After that, she tried using wind magic. Creating tornado that even master level wind mages can’t get out of. Even when they tried to fly away from the tornado, they can’t.
But tornado alone is not enough to kill them. So Angela added fire magic.
A small ball of fire appears in front of her. The fire slowly touches the tornado and it created a huge fire tornado. Just from a small fire.
Though I can’t feel that the fire was not small at all. Angela just condensed the fire until it became small. Its original form should be really huge.
Other than Angela and I who is being protected by her, the others are killed while spinning in the tornado.
...Just a few magic and she managed to kill much more than I did in the past few weeks of coming here. I guess we don’t need to call for reinforcement. We can destroy this city on our own.
Well, it’s not really just the two of us. It’s just Angela alone and she can do it.
"...Roy, I don’t think you’re needed here," Victoria said.
"Maybe so. Then instead of killing, I’ll just grab those who manage to survive and arrest them. Someone then can interrogate them. If we’re lucky, we should be able to find the next base near this city. Or maybe where the children were taken to."
My guess is that the children were taken to another base nearby. Because why would they bother creating a city here without future? Unless the children are nearby and they can return to this city in the future once they grew up. Staying on standby until they were given a mission.
First was earth magic. Then it’s wind magic before adding fire magic to it. So the last one would be ice magic. Before she will probably try to use all her four magic combined.
I was right. And using her ice magic, Angela easily freezes everyone within two kilometers distance. And she looks like she wasn’t even trying. So I think she can do even more than this.
Some of those who were frozen are ice mages and fire mages. But they still end up getting frozen without any resistance.
The temperature decreased rapidly and I can even see snow falling. She’s changing the weather so easily.
"Am I too strong now?"
Angela asked that while looking a bit disappointed. I guess rather than having strength, she wanted to have a competition to see who is stronger. And there’s no one here who can compete with her. Even I feel doubtful if I will still be able to win or not against her. Though if she asks, I will still fight her.
"Don’t be too sad. It’s good that you’re strong. They have mages beyond master level. With a huge city over a million population here, I bet they would have dozens or hundreds mages at that level. You can fight them in the future," I said.
I’m sure of it. That Death Mage is not the only one who has reached the stage beyond master level. There will be more.
...Before that, I need to get stronger so Angela won’t be disappointed in me. I need to prove it by defeating her in a spar.
Though I won’t be the one challenging her. She needs to be the one asking for a fight. Because she’s not the winner of our last spar.
