Chapter 1114: Space Mage Again

I keep entering a building and let the people chasing me destroy them. But I still can’t find a good place to hide the Blobbies. Because once the building is destroyed, the Blobbies inside died as well. So I’m still on the run.

And how many buildings that have been destroyed? Around twelve? Even then, there are still many buildings here. It’s surely not enough to reduce the quality of living in this city.

Just how rich are they? The building might be built by earth mages. But the facilities they have surely not just from magic. So they must be really rich.

Of course since I have Kings from all over the continent helping me, they have investigated a lot of suspicious merchants. But they couldn’t find anything that leads to the cult having this much money.

So maybe they really didn’t pay for all of these things themselves. There might be someone skilled in certain things that work here like a normal person.

Not all people here are powerful mages. Some must be just ordinary people. But the mages are all powerful.

Though I will still kill them just because they are with the cult.

Whether they are mages, women, or just ordinary people living here, I will kill them. Should I be glad that there are no children here?

But no children mean that there must be another place where the children are gathered. There’s no way they would kill babies since they think that kids are useful experimental subjects. So there must be another place.

Either they are being experimented, or maybe they are being brainwashed to be loyal to the cult to the point of sacrificing their lives for it. And by brainwashing doesn’t just mean by using magic. They can just be taught normally since childhood about the cult. And since that’s all they know and how they lived their lives, they can only obey.

I don’t know. But the more I think about it, the more I hate the cult.

As I continue running into one building to another, I sensed something dangerous. So I stopped running.

And as I stop running, a man suddenly appears in front of me with an Etherstone sword in his hand. He’s now swinging his sword at all. Just holding it in a way to block my path. Just so that if I didn’t stop running, my head would be separated from my body.

"How did—"

Before he could say another word, I cut off his neck. There’s no need to waste my time hearing and talking with someone.

I have stopped for less than a second probably. With so many master level mages chasing me, just that short amount of time is enough for them to kill me many times over. So I can’t stop running. Not now.

But my mind continues to work. The fact that someone suddenly appeared in front of me means that there’s a space mage that can control space. Someone who can teleport another person to a different location.

I have faced one before in the past. And from that experience, I know that the space mage can’t teleport me. Most likely because I’m also a master level mage. But if the space mage is a higher level mage than me, then I don’t think I can resist.

The fact that someone appeared in front of me instead of having me suddenly teleported somewhere means that I can still somehow resist his teleportation magic. But it doesn’t mean that I’m safe.

Now that the space mage is here, I will have even more trouble escaping from this place. The space mage can easily teleport someone to in front of me to block my way.

According to the plan, I’m here to not just place a Blobby in a place that no one knows. If possible, I want to kill as many powerful mages as possible. But I also need to stay here for about a week so I can be sure the safety of my hiding spot.

Maybe next time I came here with reinforcement, they won’t be here anymore. They might move to another place. But it’s not like they can bring everything. So we might be able to get a clue about them when we come back here in the future.

If possible, I want to block every escape route they have. Sure they can fly. But if I kill all the horses or their transportation devices, then it will be harder for them to leave quickly. Unless they still have a lot more summoners.

So my plan would be to find and kill all summoners while also killing other powerful mages. And there’s one powerful mage right now. The space mage.

Well, maybe the space mage can easily be defeated as long as you hit the mage just once. But being able to teleport is already made them considered to be a powerful mage no matter how low their level is.

Now, where is the space mage? Everyone is either chasing me or protecting some important location. But for the space mage, he or she must be watching my movement because of how precise the teleportation the space mage just did.

Is the space mage among the people chasing me? Then I’ll try to outrun them all.

So far, I haven’t used my full speed. So I start running at full speed now.

There are some people suddenly appeared in front of me. But since I know now that there’s a space mage here, I can react quickly to kill those who suddenly appear to block my way.

After a few minutes running around and didn’t bother to destroy another building, I already outrun a lot of them. But I’m still surrounded in this city and it will take only seconds for someone to get here.

But one thing I realized is that the space mage stopped teleporting people to block my way. So I can guess that when he teleported people to block me, he was watching but he didn’t run after me. He just stood somewhere and only in a certain area he would teleport someone to block me.

There are several people who are watching from afar. I can tell with my Divine Vision. So I just have to kill all of them.

Still, doing it alone is difficult. And I can’t bring my allies here because they’re busy protecting Angela. So I have to think of a way to get more helpers.

And I know a way.

’Victoria, how is it going on there?’ I asked Victoria via telepathy.

’There don’t seem to be any increase of the cult members attacking this island. They are being wary of you over there it seems,’ she said.

’Or that they can’t open a portal too long because monsters will come when they sense the mana coming through the portal. So I’m planning to open a portal somewhere near the island so the monsters here can sense the mana and will attack this place. They will be my reinforcement. So I want you to put your clone in a location far from the island but still close enough to feel the mana. Then leave that place before I open the portal. I’ll try to make sure that no one enters the portal from here,’ I said.

’On it.’

I’ll make those wild monsters to be my reinforcement. And if I do that, I’m sure that the strong mages here will have no choice but to make their moves instead of waiting.

So while waiting for Victoria to complete her mission, I’ll try to locate the space mage and kill them.

I still have a secret weapon that I won’t use now. Once the powerful mages here gather, I will use it. And hopefully, they will all die in an instant. Even if they don’t, there are not many people who can survive my secret weapon.

I’m onto the closest person who is watching me from afar without doing anything else. When I got closer, he tried to fight back. But he didn’t use space magic. So it was not him.

Why is he here then doing nothing? Is he somehow responsible of doing something else? Or he just doesn’t want to fight me?

Whatever. Just in case, I checked the place he was watching me from. And there’s nothing wrong with this place. So I continue to go to the second target.

But this time, some mages have reached closer to where I am and shoot their magic toward me. I cut one and dodge the others to let them hit the building and destroy it. I can’t be bothered to stop them all.

Even when they are shooting their magic and kill their own allies, they don’t stop. They continue doing it to kill me as if they are possessed.

Just how big of a lie were they told to the point that they hate me so much and willing to sacrifice their lives for the cult? Or maybe it’s not a lie but the truth.

Maybe an Aura user in the past really did something bad to the Evil God. I don’t know.

But the most important thing right now to do is to survive and kill as many of them as possible.
