Chapter 1105: Stronger Monsters Finally Appeared

Another week passed. The mana in the surrounding area became even thicker. But there’s no sign of Angela reaching master level at all.

I can only wait. Even if my Divine Vision got worse and my normal vision will be better than Divine Vision, I’ll protect her.

By yesterday, the elves who were near Angela were already joining the fight. They used the Aura infused arrows to kill the incoming enemies. And some were strong enough that one arrow was not enough to kill them.

The elves are good enough that I don’t have to fight yet. Also, the centaurs helped. So I don’t have much to do.

But still, it won’t be long until I have to fight. And since I can’t see well with my Divine Vision, I have to stay here and wait for the incoming enemies.

And finally today, one monster passed all the other monsters and reached where I am. It’s a rather strong monster but not smart that I can talk with.

But for me, a single slash is enough to kill it. So I killed it and threw the body away using portal.

I opened a portal far away from the village and threw the body in there. If there are monsters nearby, they will come there instead. And they will think that the source of the mana fluctuation is the dead body of this monster.

"There’s already a monster that can pass everyone. We need to have a change in shift now," I said to the four people who are resting.

We have three shifts. One shift with two humans who will fight only then. The other group will rest and wait until it’s their turn.

But Kayla said that it’s best to change the plan and the duration of the shift so it will be two shifts instead. Creating two groups of three mages. And the change will happen once a monster managed to break through all the monsters protecting Angela and reached where I am.

So now, we have to go with two shifts program. And Kayla quickly arranged who will be active and who will be resting.

As for me, my shift is all the time. There’s no rest for me. Though I can rest just fine by getting the other monsters here alert me when a monster is approaching. And that’s all I did since Angela started attempting to break through.

Since Victoria doesn’t need to sleep, I would have her by my side when I’m resting. It’s easy.

Today, when we have three people in one shift, there’s no more monsters approaching Angela. They are stopped by the elves last. The last time I’ve seen a monster other than from our group is early this morning. But that monster got pierced by an arrow before it could reach me.

The elves are really good. They not only use bow and arrows. They use their agility in this environment that is most suited for them. In this forest. And they use plant magic to create barricade. Sometimes, they used plant magic to restrain their enemies.

When I got bored and talked with Tia and the other elves if there’s anything they want, they said that they only want one thing. To meet Sunny.

Well, it has been a long time since they met Sunny. Since Sunny is being worshipped by them, it’s best to let them meet once in a while. I’ll tell Lina about it.

But can’t Tia just tell Lina about it? She’s her master. Then they can meet whenever they want.

When I asked Tia about it, she said that she already considered Lina at the same level as Sunny. She respected Lina that much. To the food provider. Basically a chef.

And so I decided to worship Lina as well. Though when I said this to Lina as a joke, she refused it with all her might.

I’m her master she said. So it should be her worshipping me.

...Our relationship seems more ridiculous than before. Though it was a good fun.

Anyway, a few days passed. And finally, there are more monsters approaching. So I have more chance to fight.

"Angela, you don’t have to worry about us. We will protect you without any casualties," I said to Angela. Though I doubt that she could hear us.

It’s still a good thing that there’re no land monsters. If there are any, then we would be in more trouble.

For the flying monsters, they don’t have anywhere to hide. With Andro above us, he blew away all the clouds that could be used for hiding.

For the sea monsters, once they left water, they won’t be as fast while running as when they’re swimming. And we cleared the shore so there’s no hiding spot.

But once they entered the forest, it will be harder to find them. Though with the centaurs amazing speed even in the forest, they could find them early. And the elves have good vision and hearing as well.

So far, only lucky monsters can reach me. But from now on, I think strong monsters will join.

As I thought so, two monsters appeared. Beside me, there’s only Tia since the other elves are moving around.

Tia aimed her bow toward one of them. And I aimed Blobbygun at the other monster.

With Blobbybullet infused with Aura, I pierced the monster’s head. And Tia pierced her target’s heart.

"Are you going to move their corpses away?" Tia asked.

"Not now. You’ve sensed another monster approaching, right? I’ll do that later. So, how many of them are there?" I asked.

"I think about five of them," Tia said.

"I thought it’s four. I guess I missed one," I said.

I can use Aura to enhance my hearing so it’s as good as the elves. But I’m not that used to it. So I can’t tell how many enemies approaching.

And when the monsters are in our sight, I can only see four of them.

"It’s just four though," I said.

"The last one is riding on the back of the biggest one," Tia said.

When the monsters get closer, I can finally see using Divine Vision. And Tia was right. I guess I can use this chance to train my other senses since I depend on my Divine Vision too much.

There are five monsters. So I used my sword to slash at them all to kill them at the same time. Using the wide-area slash from distance.

But the small one who was riding behind another monster’s back jumped to dodge the slash. Though Tia was already prepared and shoots an arrow toward that small monster.

"Good job. But to think a monster like this could dodge my slash so easily like that. I guess the monsters from now on will be around as powerful as you guys. You should get prepared as well," I said.

Only monsters around the average level as those in the village can sense my long-distance slash and dodge them. For a little monster that can do that, there will be harder battle for us from now.

Even though several monsters already managed to get this far, the monsters and mages on our side haven’t used their everything to fight. But now, it’s time to release the restriction.

When I said that, Tia quickly left. She’s going to inform everyone to not hold back anymore. And I threw the dead bodies away.

How long will it take now that everyone is not holding back anymore to get the monsters reach this place again? I think it will take only a few days. I’ll be ready then.

And as I expected, there were no strong monsters that managed to reach my location for three days. But then a strong one appeared. Even with its body covered with arrows, that thing is still approaching Angela.

But I’m in the way. So it tried to kill me but it failed. And I cut it into pieces to kill it.

That monster’s defense and stamina has been reduced so much because of the other monsters. If not for them attacking it, this monster might be around the same level as the stronger monsters from the village. We really have to be careful.

"What about the sea? Is there any sign of the Kaiser Whale?" I asked Victoria who had just returned from scouting with Ray.

"No sign at all. But everyone is already prepared to face it in case the Kaiser Whale is an enemy," Victoria said.

Though rather than the Kasier Whale, I’m more worried about the cult. By now, they should have gathered enough force to destroy several countries just to attack this place.

And when they come, I will bring my reinforcement here as well.

It will be great if the cult brings their main force here. Then we can weaken them greatly. And hopefully, we can destroy them when they attack us.

Though I hope it won’t be too strong that there will be too many casualties among us. I still wish for us to defeat them easily.
