Chapter 1098: Infiltration

"Roy, what do you see?" Candy asked me.

"There are several human experiments going on. Mostly with monsters. But I see some human experiment. Wait, those human experiment seems to be performed on someone who is doing it voluntarily. So don’t get angry yet," I said.

Hearing about the human experiment, the girls became angry. But it was not an experiment to unwilling people. It’s on someone who did it willingly.

"But they still do it to monsters. What kind of monsters?" Graham asked.

"Hmm... no humanoid monsters. Seems to be just any monster they can get. But no humanoid monsters," I said.

Of course Graham is worried whether there will be another angel who is being experimented. Though we still don’t know if this is the place that Georgia mentioned. But we realized that this place and the place Georgia mentioned could be related.

Monsters experiment. And there’s even human experiment. Just how low will you go?

At least I think that in the past, it was better. Because back then, during Sonia and Victoria’s time when they were alive, or when the monsters created a kingdom, the Evil God did everything on his own. Killing people they don’t like.

Well, the Evil God tried in the case when he tried to destroy the monsters Kingdom. But he failed. So he spread the rumors about the Kingdom to other countries. But at least he tried to fight the Kingdom on his own first.

But now, the Evil God didn’t do things on his own. He let other people do it using his name. Even experimenting on children.

"So how are we going to infiltrate?" Kayla asked.

"You all can hide your presence, right? Just to the point where master level mages can’t sense your mana. Then as long as no one sees us, we will be fine. We will infiltrate from a secret passage from the well on the other side. We will go to the basement and go up while hiding our presence. Follow me," I said.

"Before that, we should get the reinforcement to bait some people to meet them. Let them have a talk first before they fight for real. Once the fight begins, everyone in the facility, those who can fight at least, will come out and fight. Once they recognized that we have master level mages, they will realize that we are sent by the King to destroy the facility. By that time, they will try to erase any evidence. But we should be deep enough in the facility that we already got everything," Kayla suggested.

"Alright, you’re the strategist. Everyone hear that, right?"

The reinforcement is already here. I brought them here after knowing that the facility we’re going to raid has several master level mages. It’s not that close to the facility so the people there shouldn’t notice us when we have this many people.

These people don’t have as good skill as us in hiding our magic. But it’s good enough to make people think that they’re lower than master level mages. Probably expert level or less. So it’s good for them to be underestimated by the enemy.

They agree to Kayla’s suggestion. And so we will move do that.

I lead the main force who will infiltrate with me to the well. Then opening the hidden passage, we entered the basement where only two people are guarding.

"Just two people. What do we do?" Sara asked.

"More important question. Should we let them live or just kill them?" I asked.

"I think it’s fine to kill them if they’re just here to guard the entrance. If it’s some kind of facility, then I think the researchers here are more important than the master level mages," Wendy said.

"Then we will kill the mages. Any questions?"

Since there’s no complain, then it’s best to just kill anyone other than the researchers.

"Oh, and make sure that you keep the one who voluntarily asked to be experimented on. We might learn something from that guy," Candy added.

Right. There’s also that guy.

Well, I don’t think it will be harder than fighting the Black Knights. So let’s do it!

I brazenly walked and showed myself to the two guys protecting the entrance. And seeing a man with full armor, they became wary.

"Be careful, he might be the Aura user they always talked about," one of them said.

He is right. But I’m just a distraction.

The real thing was behind me. Aiming at them using a rifle. And shooting earth bullet from the rifle.

The bullet is sharp. And Sara, the one with the rifle, shoots at each of them quickly. Shooting one then creating another bullet to shot at the other.

They didn’t realize that it would be an attack from distance that they have to protect themselves from. Because they only think that I’m an Aura user and will try to fight them when I’m close.

But that’s not the case at all. And they got shot by Sara. Though they didn’t die because Sara shot them in the head. Human skull is thick after all. And the enemies are master level mages.

But the two angels are already flying toward them. Graham and Georgia each kill one. Piercing their spears into the enemies’ hearts

Graham is wielding his new spear. The spear that he got from the Spider Knight. Well, it was not given. But he took it as his right as the victor of the duel.

Maybe I should ask the Blacksmith to forge similar spear for Georgia.

The door is locked. But it’s not a problem for me. I just use my strength and the lock is destroyed.

"Roy, did anyone notice?" Kayla asked worriedly.

I looked above. There’s someone who is looking at me. But he doesn’t even realize that I’m looking back at him. He must be thinking that something happened in the basement. Then he looks away as if it’s not important.

"Someone looked here, but it seems that he annoyed. Maybe because it’s usual for the two guards here to play with magic when they’re bored. Just take a look at the surrounding and you can see that there are traces of magic attack as if someone is using the wall as target practice," I said.

"I guess he thinks that this is usual. He didn’t do anything suspicious?" Candy asked.

"Nope. Let’s go up now," I said.

There’s a stairs behind the door that was guarded. We walked up and we ended up in a hallway.

"Wait here," I said.

Then I go around quickly and grabbed several white coats. We will wear them so people will think that we’re researchers.

"One for each of you including Graham and Georgia. Once people left this place to fight the reinforcement, there’s no need to hide our identities anymore," I said.

And so, we carefully entered several rooms, grabbed some documents, and drugged some researchers. They use anesthetic to drug the monsters that they experimented on. And I use it on them.

Injecting a medicine won’t be seen as suspicious. It’s better than using magic.

"Is there anyone here who can talk?"

We found a place where monsters are being held. And just in case, I tried to talk with them.

Maybe someone among them is someone that Georgia knows. But it seems like all the monsters here are not smart enough to communicate with. So I killed them all.

And after I killed them, there’s a commotion in the other room. I checked outside just in case, and I can see that some people have started fighting.

And soon after, the people they sent to kill our reinforcement ended up killed. That’s when they realized that the people outside are master level mages.

"They’re here! The force from the Kingdom has found us!" one of the mages here shouted.

"Grab everything important! We’ll delay them as long as possible before taking you away!" another one shouted.

Seems like they have a plan for when we find them.

"We will spread out now. When you see someone grabbing something, it might be something important that they have to bring when they’re escaping. Get it before they leave," I said.

Now, I put on my armor again. Even when I disguise myself as a researcher here, I made sure that no one saw my face. So I’m still safe.

Though maybe I don’t have to cover my face all the time. I mean Kayla and the others should be famous now. But no one ever aim for them. They only look for me instead.

I guess I’m just a much bigger threat than Kayla and the others.

While Kayla and the others look for anything important, I brought Graham and Georgia to a room where we can see a pyramid and the sea outside. It’s time to find out whether Georgia has been here or not.

"Graham, tell Georgia to tell us as much as she can after revealing her wings. Tell her to put away her wings once she felt too much pain," I said.

"Okay."

And so, there’s an Archangel who revealed her twelve wings now looking outside the window. Is this the place she recognized or not? We will see soon.
