Chapter 1092: The Third Match
Chapter 1092: The Third Match
Claw against sword and claw against shield. They use both hands to fight.
Shelia attacked the Small Knight with her left claw. Only for the Small Knight to protect himself with his shield. Then the Small Knight tried to counter attack. But his sword is stopped by Shelia’s right claw.
The Small Knight is left-handed. Probably. That’s why his sword is in his left hand and his shield is on his right.
Being left-handed makes it a bit harder it seems. Because Shelia rarely fought anyone who is left-handed. Maybe never.
They protect themselves with their right side. So if we attack them with our right, they might be able to counter it swiftly. That’s why Shelia attacked with her left.
Not only left-handed warriors are rare, they are also used in the way right-handed warriors are fighting. And Shelia is not that much different than any other right-handed warriors.
Not only that. The Small Knight is also fast. Not as fast as Pawzer, but he’s still faster than Shelia.
As expected, even if he looks like a short human, he might not be human at all. None of the master level mages we have are at that level of speed. And he’s fighting without Aura. So it must be because of his species.
I have some guesses about what they really are. The three Black Knights.
They are probably just ordinary monster. A giant, whatever that one with half-spider lower body, and whatever this short guy is. They each have their own advantages and their own disadvantages.
Then they somehow got revived as zombies. But their resurrection is different than other zombies on the above floor. Their resurrection was perfect other than the fact that they didn’t regain their past memories. And their skin color also changed because of it.
I can’t really tell because even with my Divine Vision, their inner organs are working normally. There’s nothing wrong about them that tells me that they’re undead.
My other guess is those armors. Those armors, although they look different, they have similar effect to turn those three into knights. And they were forced to do their duty to protect this room from invaders without them knowing that they’re being forced to do it.
As of now, I already asked Victoria to remove those armors from the other two dead Black Knights. I sent her there after Graham defeated the second knight. That’s when I started thinking if my guess is right and those armors are magic items. Or should I say cursed items?
Because of that, Victoria is not here. Removing the armor from the corpses.
Though I’m a bit afraid if some Blobbies ended up aware of their own surrounding after wearing those armors. But if they could still follow my order, then I can get two extra armored helpers. Three if the Small Knight is defeated.
Then there’s that thing in the middle of the room. Something that has a lot of mana but there’s nothing there that I can see even with my Divine Vision. Whatever that is, it’s getting stronger after the Giant Knight and the Spider Knight were defeated. Something might suddenly appear after the Small Knight is defeated.
If it’s another battle, I might have to be the one to fight. Unless someone else wants to.
The fight continues with no one having the upper-hand.
Shelia can keep up with the Small Knight’s speed after her transformation into a giant werewolf. She’s still slower, but since the Small Knight is not as fast as Pawzer, Shelia can still keep up against him.
And the Small Knight’s attack couldn’t hit Shelia at all. Shelia either narrowly dodged them or blocked them.
Right now, it seems like they’re equal. But I can tell from their expression that the Small Knight still hasn’t used his everything. As for Shelia, she’s already having a hard time keeping up with the Small Knight’s speed.
The exchange continues for another hour. Then as soon as my barrier broke, I drew another line on the ground and raise the second barrier.
But in that small gap, everyone here can finally feel the pressure that Shelia receives all the time as she’s fighting the Small Knight. That kind of pressure and killing intent spread to everyone here. Good thing we didn’t bring kids here or they might lose their consciousness. Or even worse. Dead.
"...That was scary. Not as scary as Andro, but still scary," Albert said.
"This Small Knight is much stronger than the previous two Black Knights. Next time, before the barrier breaks, I’ll raise another barrier right away. Only if they’re still fighting," I said.
The barrier got broken meaning that one hour already passed. But when I checked the time, it hasn’t been one hour yet. Only around forty minutes.
Which means that the fight inside the barrier is so intense that my barrier broke before the time limit.
Everyone already knew that Shelia could destroy the barrier with a few punches. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that the barrier can break when Shelia is fighting someone who might be stronger than her in the middle of the barrier.
"I’ll raise another barrier right away then. Then I’ll prepare to draw some more circles. With their strength, maybe they can destroy my barrier in no time if they decided to fight closer to the barrier," I said.
There are too many important people here who want to watch the battle. So I can’t let them get hurt. That’s why I’ll make multiple layers of barrier to protect them.
And as expected, the Small Knight is observing me even in the middle of a fight. And now that he’s aware that I’m making multiple layers of barriers, he has started to use his full power to fight Shelia.
His speed is the same. But his power is different than before. In fact, it’s too strong. Maybe even stronger than the Giant Knight even though the Small Knight, as the name suggest, is many times smaller than the Giant Knight.
He swung his right hand. And his shield hits Shelia on the face. Then Shelia got blown away all the way to the barrier. Making the first layer of the barrier shakes.
Then the Small Knight rushed toward Shelia. He thrust his sword but Shelia protected herself with her claws. Though unfortunately, her claws break after trying to protect herself. So she has no choice but to protect herself by sacrificing her own hand.
She grabbed the sword with her left hand. But the force was still so strong. So she altered the trajectory of the attack to make the sword moves away from her head. And it makes the sword and her hand hit the barrier and destroys it.
Shelia needs a few punches to break the barrier. But the Small Knight only needs one thrust. He’s the strongest one as expected. And by far.
"Roy, isn’t it dangerous for Shelia?" Albert asked.
"As much as I don’t want her to die, this duel is a sacred ritual for those two fighting. I won’t interfere even if Shelia ends up dying," I said.
I really don’t want her to die. But if I interfere with this duel, Shelia might never want to obey my order anymore even if I ended up saving her life. So it’s best to just leave her be.
It’s unfortunate, but she will be happier to die in a fight rather than to be saved in a duel and live. She’s such a pain.
Even in her strongest form, she’s being pushed. And that attack that broke the barrier also broke her left arm.
Shelia then kicked the Small Knight away to gain some distance from him. Then her regeneration ability works as her broken arm is already healed now.
"Regeneration ability, huh? Then I have to kill you in an instant," the Small Knight said.
"Try it if you can!"
Shelia then rushed toward her opponent. And the Small Knight calmly accepted the challenge as he’s waiting for her with his shield in front of him.
Shelia’s body then slammed to the shield. But the Small Knight didn’t budge at all.
He’s really strong. Speed, attack, defense, technique, everything is perfect. I can’t see any weakness at all.
And he’s not looking down on Shelia at all. He’s using his full force now. So it’s impossible for Shelia to attack by making chances from him looking down on her.
I’m also interested in his armor, sword, and shield. They’re probably from a really strong material because he’s not using Aura to cover his shield as he receives Shelia’s attack with it. I’m going to take them after he dies.
Then the Small Knight stepped forward as his shield is still pushing Shelia’s body. Shelia got easily pushed back even though she’s about two or even three times the Small Knight’s size. It’s crazy.
Just what kind of race is he? I really want to invite his entire species to the village if they’re as strong as this.
Can Shelia win this? It seems to be impossible. Everyone here already thinks so and even told me to stop the match.
But I refuse. This is her battle. Not mine.
I will not stop the fight even if she ends up dying.
That’s why, please win.
Shelia, I’m rooting for you.
