Chapter 1083: Teaching My Familiars to Use My Aura
Chapter 1083: Teaching My Familiars to Use My Aura
It’s time for Shelia, Graham, and Crabbe to learn how to use Aura. Not like me who can use Aura that came from my own body. They will use Aura that I share with them.
Sharing my Aura with my three familiars. I have only share my Aura with only one target at a time. And that’s Victoria. I didn’t dare to try it on Sonia even if she was an Aura user because she might get exorcized because of it.
Now, it was three targets. But before I attempted that, I need something first. Or someone.
"Victoria, call Sonia here if she’s free," I said.
Sonia is not someone I have to bring here myself. She can teleport here by herself since that’s what she’s best at.
Sonia operated her phone quickly and soon after, she nodded as she was watching her phone. Then without any time wasted, a ghost appeared next to her.
"Roy, you called me?" she asked.
Then she looked around and sees the mess we created. Well, the three monsters created.
There’s no way we could have a peaceful conversation in this place. So those three keep defeating the skeleton monsters here. But they kept reviving after all their bones were destroyed.
These are not normal skeletons. Because I remember fighting some of them and even when I didn’t use Aura, they didn’t get revived. The only thing I can think of is because of this area. This pyramid is what made those skeletons immortal.
This is just a dungeon. Not a living being. So what if a living being can do that? Raising the dead as not just ordinary zombies, but as skeleton monsters who can revive whenever they got defeated? What if even just the zombies can be revived like that?
What I meant is the Death Mage. We know almost nothing about them other than the one we knew from the ghost Death Mage who was Timmy’s girl. That Death Mage can fight using zombies and skeletons they revived.
We don’t know how strong the Death Mage would be. So if she could raise zombies and skeletons endlessly, we have to find a way to defeat them. And skeleton monsters only weakness we have found so far is Aura. So I’d like to train my three familiars to use Aura. But they will still not be Aura users since they will use my Aura.
I explained it to Sonia who had just arrived as the other three kept fighting the skeletons nearby.
"I understand. So what do you want with me?" Sonia asked.
"I plan to share my Aura with those three. Then each of us here will teach one of them as we split up. Victoria and Ray can look after Graham. Since light magic is somewhat useful against the skeletons, he might be the first one to run out of the Aura I shared to him first. So he can have Ray to share his Aura with Graham. Sonia will watch over Crabbe. He doesn’t move around much when he fights outside of water. And I will watch Shelia. For some reason, I feel like she will be the hardest one to teach," I said.
I have shared my Aura to them before after I defeated the Bone Dragon. But they couldn’t use it at all even though they knew that I have shared my Aura with them. Well, they’re not originally Aura users after all. So I need other Aura users, or at least former ones, to teach them.
After that, Sonia touches Ray’s body and had Ray share his Aura and probably mana as well with her. I can’t do that to her or she might disappear.
Then at the same time, we moved quickly from our spot to each of the location of our Aura student.
I slash my sword to the reviving monsters near Shelia, Victoria slashes her sword to the skeleton who couldn’t even reach Graham in the air, and Sonia appeared next to Graham and kicked a skeleton to its death. And what I meant by its death is its inability to resurrect again after the skeleton was defeated. They’re already dead after all.
"Shelia, I’ll watch over you until you can use Aura I share with you. We will split up from the others so you can train freely without caring about them," I said.
Shelia then looked around and sees that the other two monsters have two former Aura users helping them. Sonia and Victoria also talk with Crabbe and Graham about something. Probably something similar to what I said to Shelia.
"I understand that I can have you share your Aura with me whenever I’m out. And Graham has Ray near him for that. What about Crabbe?" Shelia asked.
"Whenever he needs it, he can just contact me via telepathy and I will open a portal enough for my hand to enter and share my Aura with him," I said.
This is also the biggest reason why compared to other allies, I will train these three to use Aura until they can do it. So whenever there comes a time when Aura is needed, I can just share it by opening a small portal for my hand to reach them and share my Aura with them.
I told this to both Crabbe and Graham as well via telepathy. They replied positively. They understand that when the situation arises in the future that I can’t go where they were and Aura is somehow needed there, they will be the one to be relied on.
And so, we started training. The three groups went different ways.
"Shelia, how does it feel?" I asked Shelia about me sharing my Aura with her.
"I feel it in my body. It’s all over my body. But no matter how I do it, I can’t control it," Shelia said.
"Hmm... sharing Aura with others is harder than I expected. Let’s not hurry and take our time. You can take as much time as I have Aura. If I’m about to run out, we’ll stop and try it again tomorrow," I said.
"I’ll figure it out by today!"
Hmm... it’s a shame that I can’t see Aura. I can only see it when I made something with it. Like imagining a weapon and my Aura will turn into that weapon for a short time. Though I don’t have to use it that way because I have Victoria with me who can transform into any kind of weapon.
We’re already quite far from where the others are. And there are more skeletons here. Shelia defeated them easily but they kept being resurrected again and again.
It only frustrates her that those monsters kept coming back to life. She’s easily agitated.
Then I see something good for her to practice. A skeleton monster from a monster that is rather strong. A werewolf’s skeleton. Though Shelia doesn’t know that it’s a werewolf’s skeleton.
"Shelia, try to take care of that one alone. That is the skeleton of a werewolf. Since you trained with werewolves most of the time even before other monsters entered the village or even before it can be called a village, it might be easier to do it if you try it against the werewolf," I said.
Shelia stopped fighting and looked at the werewolf skeleton. That is the look she or anyone in the tribe will look like after they die and got resurrected by the Death Mage.
"That is disrespectful. To use the body of a dead companion in the battlefield. I thought that even if I can’t use Aura, it will be fine. But now that I look at it, I now know that I have to learn it no matter what," Shelia said.
Good. She got her motivation to learn Aura because of it. But being motivated or not doesn’t mean that she can use it.
"Try to relax more. Do you want to hear my guidance directly or I can tell it to you via telepathy?" I asked.
"Tell me directly. It’s annoying when I hear you while in the middle of a battle. I know that it can’t be avoided in a war, but at least you can tell me directly now, right?"
That’s true. I will do as she says.
The werewolf skeleton was stronger than her grandfather. The previous king of the werewolves. But Shelia is now much stronger than him. Though it took some times until Shelia could defeat that one.
But she still failed to use Aura. The werewolf skeleton resurrected after it got its head destroyed by Shelia’s attack.
Meanwhile, I kept the other monsters from disturbing the battle. I tried to not use much Aura so I can continue sharing my Aura with my familiars for a longer time.
And after a few more times fighting the werewolf skeleton, the Aura I shared with her has run out. But she didn’t use Aura at all though. It must be somehow leaked. Because I can see that neither Graham nor Crabbe need another share of Aura.
Seems like it will take a while until Shelia can use my Aura. I’ll be patient and teach her until she can do it.
