Chapter 1044: Wedding Plan

When I asked Fabio again, he said that he was sure to invite everyone, Fabio started hesitating.

"It’s best if we discuss it with the other kings first. Do we want them to come to Arturo and make their visitation official? To be known by everyone that they all come here for Fabio’s wedding? Or do we need to keep it as secret from the cult and just let Roy gather them here secretly. We need to have everyone’s opinion about this," Toni said.

"Isn’t it just a wedding? Fabio can do it however he wants," Harold said.

"Fortunately, he’s not you. So he can’t. I’m glad that he took after his mother instead of his father," I said.

If it’s Harold, he has a lot of wives and mistresses. I wonder how many weddings he had. Must be a lot.

Carmen is looking at Harold with anger after he said that. Though after everything that has happened, she still loves him. That is what makes her an amazing woman.

Maybe seeing his father like that makes Fabio decided to never become like that. He’s smart after all. He can learn from someone’s mistake.

"I think we should gather the other Kings here and talk to them. Roy, tell everyone if they are free that they need to come here," Fabio said.

Seems like my way of filling time with taking quest will be changed into this meeting.

It’s also the time for Fabio’s other siblings to meet the Kings. Not all of them have been brought to meet the other Kings. Mostly it’s just Toni since he’s the Prime Minister. And some time, it’s Bernard because of our relationship. Some other time, Fabio brought someone here. But I never bothered to ask who they are. Until I see their faces here.

I just played with my phone and spread the news that Fabio has something important to inform everyone. Not related to the cult, but it might be. So if someone doesn’t want to come, it’s fine if we just tell them what the meeting was about.

Though everyone quickly replied saying that they can come. I just told them that I will bring them to Arturo within an hour.

"They all can come," I said.

"Alright. I’ll get the servant to prepare a room for the meeting," Fabio said.

"Spare some servants so they can continue cooking for me," I said.

Everyone then left to prepare to greet the Kings. I also invited Kayla and the others who are free to come. And since it’s about Fabio’s marriage, I told Albert that it’s fine if he wants to bring the twins.

Without anyone dare to stop me, I entered Fabio’s room and see the naked King who was about to get dressed.

"...I’m not done yet changing," Fabio said.

"I know. Anyway, what about your partner? You’re going to bring her here, right?" I asked.

"Someone is already bringing her here. She should be here soon and we will have her properly dressed. She’s still going to meet a lot of Kings after all. And you want to know if she can be trusted or not, right? Just stay with Albert then. I’ll trust you both. If she can’t be trusted, then this wedding will not happen," Fabio said.

I’ll cry though, is what he said in low volume. It seems like he forgets that I can still hear him.

I returned back to the dining room to eat. And when I said to the relieved servant that I’m done, I can see a guest is getting out of carriage. She’s not alone. That’s her parents, I believe.

For now, let’s check everything. None of them are master level mages. And they don’t seem to bring something suspicious. I guess the rest will be known later.

Seriously, it’s just a wedding. But I’m being so paranoid that I have to know if they can be trusted or not.

It’s best if Fabio just get his own wedding without telling me about it. But I guess this is also his way to tell me that he trusts me.

Well, even if he didn’t tell me, once I found out about it, I will ask Albert anyway. So either way, I will find out if she can be trusted or not.

The father is a Duke, right? Then I guess he won’t like it if he sees someone wearing casual clothes in the palace’s dining room.

I should have continued eating so he will see that I have some kind of status. So I asked the servant to bring me a dessert and eat it slowly.

"Yes he is. Fabio has something important to say. And he’s going to ask for your opinions about how to progress with it," I said.

After everyone is seated, everyone is paying their attention toward Fabio.

"I’m thinking of getting married. My partner is the Duke’s daughter. Her name is..."

And everyone congratulated him. Except for the smart ones who knows why they were invited here. They know what to expect from this wedding.

And then there’s Albert who is looking at me. He also knows the other reason why he’s here.

Some asked Fabio’s partner and her family some questions. And from those questions, Albert recognized her and her family to not be related to the cult at all. That is great. And I can see that Fabio is secretly happy about it.

"I thought that I’m going to invite you all to my wedding. We can make formal invitation or you can come here secretly with Roy. I have thought it over for the last hour and I think it’s best if those who want to come to get here with Roy’s help instead. Because that way, the cult will most likely to only make Arturo as their target. What do you guys think?" Fabio suggested.

"If Roy is there, we can return anytime we want anyway. But I want to go through an official visit. Maybe we can arrange some of us to spread the news that some will come and some will not. So the cult will focus their attack on those who will come," Albert said.

"I think it doesn’t matter. The cult already knows that the Aura user is a summoner who can open up portals. So it doesn’t matter who will come or not," I said.

"Hmm... I guess Roy is right. Just officially give us invitation for the wedding. They already know that we have summoner to move us around. Then if there’s any attack, he can also move right away with the others. I guess it’s decided than," Fabio said.
