Chapter 1043: Boring Day Again

Okay, now what?

This always happen in almost every time we finished a battle. Contemplating on what to do next.

The battle is over. The next battle will not happen anytime soon usually.

So what now? Resting?

I did that already. For a whole day.

The battle was over two days ago. And I did completely nothing yesterday.

Should I try to improve the level of my air element to master level? Well, I tried it every day already. But there’s no progress at all.

Seems like air element is really just a bonus for me for returning back to the past. I really have no talent in improving it any further.

Even Sara is now a master level air mage. Her other element, earth element, is also has reached master level as well.

She can now shoot farther than me with stronger bullet. She’s extremely versatile with a rifle and earth magic. I’m jealous of her.

I haven’t given up reaching master level yet. But I won’t try so hard in it.

Even if I could somehow reach master level, it might take decades until then. I should be patient. My lifespan has reached longer than most humans already.

Then what’s next?

How do I reach the stage beyond master level for summoning element? Is it another mission of defeating enemies with my monsters? If so, I just need to stay calm.

Just Shelia alone would probably defeated hundreds of monsters around in a day if I leave her be. She would get away from the village and defeat any monsters she could find. And it was never the same area every day.

And after training with Pawzer, her speed improved a lot more. Now she can travel farther than usual and probably fighting stronger monsters.

As for Graham, it’s best if he just stays in the village. This way, I have someone to contact there since Crabbe is still on a mission with the other Crab People to look for the Kaiser Whale.

Hmm... what should I do then? Maybe there’s also a stage beyond Aura Master?

I don’t know what else I need to do. Free time is sometimes annoying. It’s mostly after a battle that it’s annoying.

On any other day, a free time is the best.

...Now that I think about it, I don’t really have a proper job. I might be a clan leader, but I no longer do any of the jobs as the leader anymore. Penny can take care of the paperwork and the others will do the job. Even Hannah is now slowly raising her rank as a hunter.

I rarely work as a hunter even during the day. I guess people see me as a jobless person.

But I’m rich! I even have stores under my name.

But I guess I should take a quest once in a while. It’s boring if I don’t do anything.

"Penny, is there any job I can take?" I asked Penny who is in charge of delegating our members to quests that were given to us.

"Even if I do, I won’t give you any. The others keep saying that you are too strong, so they want to gain more fighting experience. So you won’t get anything if you ask me," Penny said.

...She’s such an amazing worker. Why was she a prostitute?

"Sigh... Then I’ll just take one from the guild," I said.

"Are you that bored? How about training? I heard that you captured some excellent fighters. You can train by fighting them without using Aura or magic. That would be better than training on your own, right?" Victoria suggested.

She had just returned home after a mission together with Jewel. And her suggestion makes sense.

"But aren’t the monsters the better fighters? What would I gain by fighting them?" I asked.

"Hmm... you’re right. I guess there’s really nothing you can do. And you don’t have any friend either. It’s sad. Very sad," Victoria said.

She doesn’t have to say it that way.

I know that I don’t have many friends outside of the alliance. I really have nothing if the cult no longer exists.

I’m afraid that in the future, even with my harem surrounding me, I will be empty.

Or it’s just another of my overthinking taking over. If there’s nothing to do, I should just find something to do.

For now, taking a quest from the guild should be fine. Once in a while, dealing with people and monsters who are much weaker than me seems interesting.

"Oh, if you’re taking a quest from the guild, get it from the guild far from here. In another country would be better," Penny suggested.

"Alright. I’ll do that. Victoria, are you coming with me?" I asked.

"I’ll stay in Cassau. If you need anything here, you can contact me right away instead of using phones," Victoria said.

Lately, she doesn’t want to be with me much unless it’s for battle. Though we still go on dates when we’re free.

Not that I’m complaining. But I guess it’s boring for other people if they are accompanying someone who is bored. So I kind of understand that.

If it’s for any other reason, she doesn’t mind coming with me. It’s just that I’m being so difficult right now. And Victoria understands that the best.

It usually take me a few days until I can function properly again. And until then, she would usually leave me alone unless it’s for dates or sleeping together.

And so, I opened a portal to Arturo. I told Fabio about getting bored and going to take quests in this country for a while, but Fabio told me to go and meet him first. So I’m meeting with the King right away.

"Roy, it’s been a while."

The one who greeted me was Bernard. Fabio’s brother.

Back when the cult was changing their king without anyone knowing, it was Bernard who helped us built a base in his territory so we could fight back against the cult there.

Arturo was so close in being conquered back then. Thanks to him, we managed to get the Kingdom back.

Other than him, I also see other familiar faces. Like Toni, Harold the former King, Carmen, Luna, and some other whose names I forget. But they seem to know me, so it’s fine.

We’re in a large dining room in the palace. The table is so long that it can fit the entire family while there are still several more empty seats.

It’s because of Harold. That guy had so many mistresses that the family became so big. And after that accident, many were killed because they decided to join hands with the cult. So even though there are still a lot of people in the family, there are still empty seats.

"Roy, you can take a seat anywhere," Fabio said.

I guess they invited me for lunch. I’ll take that offer then.

Some tried to get to know me. They seem to be Fabio’s siblings whom he trusts. So it’s fine for me to talk to them. But they shouldn’t expect me to remember their names.

"Now, I have something important to announce," Fabio said.

The others have already done with their meals. But I haven’t. I still asked the servants to bring more.

This is how much powerful I am compared to their King. Mwahahahaha!

Wait, Fabio is trying to say something.

"I’m thinking of getting married soon," Fabio said.

Well, that’s nothing surprising, right? He’s a King after all. He needs to have a Queen who will give birth to his heir.

But hearing that Fabio is getting married, everyone was shocked. But they are happy nonetheless. Because it’s their King’s wedding.

Seems like no one has any complain about it. Even though Fabio having a kid means that their chance of taking the throne will be slim.

I guess Fabio worked hard enough to gain everyone’s trust. That’s good to know.

Carmen and Luna are also happy hearing that. As for Harold, it seems like he has gone to way too many weddings. His own weddings.

"Who is the partner? I’m not judging. Just curious," Harold asked.

"She’s the daughter of the Duke. I don’t think anyone will have any problem with it," Fabio said.

I don’t think I know her. But it’s a good news for everyone so I’ll just shut up and be happy with it.

"Roy, I was thinking of inviting the other Kings for the wedding. So I need you to bring everyone here and back," Fabio said.

"Sure. I’ll get Lina to help as well. It will be faster if the two of us work together," I said.

"Fabio, don’t think that everyone will just come. They might be too busy. But if you arrange it so the wedding will be around the time that they’re not busy, then it should be fine to invite them," Toni said.

"It’s okay. The recent big battle has just over. The cult shouldn’t make any move anytime soon. It should be fine," Fabio said.

"Then I’ll prepare for the plan right away," Toni said.

I guess this is why he wanted to invite me for lunch. He’s going to get married.
