Chapter 1019: Training with Pawzer
After leaving the Monsters World, I gathered every king again. This time, we’re in Tatrama like usual. And we told them what happened and who Pawzer really is.
"Why Pawzer?" Fabio asked.
"What do you expect from Roy giving a name to a cat?" Albert said.
"But you were there!"
"The cat has as weird naming sense as Roy, alright? No matter how much Victoria and I brainstormed ideas, it was only when Roy suggested that name that he agreed to it. There’s nothing I can do. But that should be good enough to make Pawzer have a good impression of us since we gifted him with a name," Albert said.
He never said it to me, but seems like his way of thinking is quite similar to me. We gifted Pawzer his name so he will have good impression of us.
"At least we know that Roy can handle Pawzer from now on. He’s too fast that even Roy who has the strongest physical ability here vomited everything in his stomach just by riding on his back. If it’s anyone else, they would have died," Victoria said.
"If it’s you, you can handle it better, right? You don’t even have a stomach. Or is it that the inside of your slime body is all stomach?" I asked.
"That’s not important. What’s important is that we might be able to receive help from the fastest creature to ever live. Though someone from the back of that Kaiser Tortoise managed to follow his speed. But if that person is faster than Pawzer, that person should have chased after him. Because he should have known about how valuable a monster with that speed was," Victoria added.
That’s right. Though just by being able to follow Pawzer’s speed alone is already alarming. He’s probably someone beyond master level.
And Pawzer became scared after knowing that someone could follow his speed. He won’t be participating, but if he could help us get stronger, that’s already good enough.
And at least we have received Andro’s confirmation that he will help us when we fight the cult on the back of the Kaiser Tortoise.
Knowing that the tortoise has lost his mind, Andro doesn’t mind it if he has to kill the tortoise. In fact, both Andro and Pawzer agreed that the Kaiser Tortoise will prefer to die instead of being used.
Andro is even willing to risk his life. Well, he’s already dying. But he’s not afraid to die.
As for Pawzer, he was scared of death. That’s normal. But he’s still going this far to help his friend the Kaiser Tortoise.
As for the Kaiser Whale, I don’t know. I have never met him. Maybe I will send Crabbe and the Crab People to search the ocean for the whale.
Soon after, we are ready. I will return back to the Monsters Village together with the master level mages who will train with Pawzer.
I don’t know what kind of training it will be. I have never heard of any message from Shelia, Graham, or Crabbe. Maybe they’re already in the middle of training. Or they haven’t even started yet.
"Then, one month. But if there’s any attack happens within the next month, please pause the training so you guys can help us. Roy, you will be the one we contacted first if anything happen. Make sure that you have your phone with you at all time. And don’t break it," Albert said.
After that, I left with the master level mages. And when we arrived at the Monsters Village, all the monsters here except for the children were all lying unconscious.
"Oh, you have returned. The monsters here are pretty strong. They could stand for a few seconds after I attacked them. Especially that werewolf, archangel, Crabby creature, dragon, vampire, and weretiger. The rest are good as well, but not as good as those five," Pawzer said as he greeted us.
From what he said, there are only six monsters here who last the longest against him. They are Shelia, Graham, Crabbe, Cooldra, Arin, and Tiger. Even the elves and the centaurs were too weak for him. Though maybe Tia or Centaur are already in the top ten. But only those six impressed Pawzer.
"...Your way of training is to fight us?" I asked.
"How else will you get stronger? And this is how I got stronger and faster. You guys will all fight me for a whole month. You can go individually or in a group. Now, who will fight me next?"
Seeing the monsters on the ground, even Kayla was scared of Pawzer. But this is to get stronger. So we have to do it. There are a lot of healers here, so it should be fine.
And the first to fight should be me. So I stepped forward.
"I’ll fight first. Victoria, you can go with Ray once he’s awake. I need to do this on my own," I said as I grabbed Reizpear after a long time.
Soon after Reizpear had just finished restoring itself to its original form, Pawzer disappeared.
No, he didn’t disappear completely. His afterimage was still there. He just moved so fast that his afterimage was still there.
Even though he’s in his werecheetah form, he’s already that fast.
I couldn’t see where he is even with my Divine Vision. But I suddenly feel danger coming at me from my left side. So I quickly used Reizpear to block my left side. And that’s when Pawzer’s claws hit Reizpear covered with Aura.
Even then, I still got pushed back. Seems like what he’s not just fast. He’s also very strong. So strong that even though I’m the Aura Master, I couldn’t see any way for me to defeat him. At least not yet.
"Oh, you’re much stronger than the others as expected. No wonder you can gather everyone here. But you barely sensed my location before I attacked. If I used my full speed, you would have been hit," Pawzer said.
"Then do it. Use your full strength," I said.
"Okay."
Then suddenly, I got hit from my right side. Without even seeing that Pawzer moved.
I got blown away and feel like I’m about to lose my consciousness. But I force myself to stay awake as I stomped on the ground really hard.
He should be moving already by now. So instead of waiting, I made my move and swing Reizpear horizontally. Using Aura to make the attack hit larger area. Only to realize that Pawzer was nowhere to be seen.
"You’re the first to try to attack me. Unfortunately, you’re not fast enough," Pawzer said.
And his location is on top of my head. He’s standing on top of my head. I can feel his weight suddenly appearing.
Then I do a somersault. A front flip as I moved my head down so he will lose his footing and using the momentum, I could hit him with a kick.
But I didn’t hit him at all. Rather, I suddenly got kicked from right in front of me in the abdomen. And I flew over twenty meters until I hit a house.
That was painful. His kick as someone that fast was too strong even when I used my full power to gather Aura in my abdomen to protect my body.
The wall to the house was destroyed. I tried to stand up. But there’s only one thing I can see in front of me. A knee approaching me so fast.
And that knee hit my nose. I can feel my nose breaking and I was about to lose my consciousness.
"That was much better than the others. Now your turn is over and it will be the others’ turn now. Go get some sleep."
That’s what I last hear from Pawzer before I lost my consciousness.
...I woke up a few minutes later with a pain from my nose. And this time, Pawzer is knocking out the monsters again. While all the master level mages here have all fainted from Pawzer’s attack.
Now I realized that we have been complacent. We dared to challenge the cult directly even though we’re still not that strong. All we did was just approaching our death faster.
It’s a good thing that we met Pawzer. With his help, even if we will get a lot of injuries, we can get stronger.
I just sat there watching a weretiger got knocked out by Pawzer. Then as Pawzer’s attention is at Spot, I quickly run toward him with Reizpear aimed at him.
And when Reizpear should have reached him, it was only his afterimage.
"That was a good surprise attack. If it was anyone else, they would have been hit. Try harder."
His voice is coming from behind me. And before I knew it, he kicked my back. And I got blown away to Spot’s location and hit him. We were both knocked out with just one hit again.
"For a whole month, this will be what we do most other than when we’re resting. If you don’t like it, you can stop," Pawzer said.
I don’t like it. But if I want to get stronger, I have no other choice.
And just like that, in just one day, I lost my consciousness twelve times. That’s about one time every two hours.
It was a disastrous show about how weak I actually am. But I have to preserve.
And now I realized how much I hate Pawzer. I wish within one month, I could hit him once. No, I will defeat him within one month. I have to. Or destroying the cult is but a dream.
