Chapter 1007: More Attacks from the Cult
Chapter 1007: More Attacks from the Cult
Wearing full armor, I rode the ice dragon into the battlefield.
This country is being surrounded by enemies. Around a thousand of them. And since the alliance is busy taking care of them, we can’t hope for reinforcement.
I have already sent my familiars to different location. Except for Shelia who wanted to fight, so she’s here helping me in this battle somewhere.
As for the monsters, I have sent a lot of them. The weretigers, centaurs, and elves to help another small country under attack. And the werewolves and dragons here.
I still have the angels and the Crab people. But they will be on standby in the village for now. If there’s any other location that needs immediate help, I will go there and bring the rest of the monsters before returning here.
Something is odd. Seems like that Sus-teacher actually planned this. To plan multiple attacks after luring Angela. Though Angela didn’t come, he managed to lure Kayla and Sara.
When he learned that Angela didn’t come but there were two other girls instead, he must have somehow informed someone about it. To make the cult attack the capital of Tatrama. But that might also be a bait and their real target is Rygis and another small country.
At least that’s what I can think of about their plan with this damaged brain of mine. But still, it works. Except that they must have never thought that we’re already much stronger than we were before.
Also, if my assumption is correct, it means that the Sus-teacher completely ignored the fact that he made a maid to be his spy. Maybe after he learned that I’m the Roy who is close with Angela. Then he used that fact to do this plan.
This can mean that I’m completely ruined their plan. But they’re smart enough to exploit this chance to attack us.
Whatever the case, I need to finish the fight here as soon as possible to help other places.
"Cooldra, over there is where the enemy is most concentrated at. Fly over there and I will jump down to beat everyone there," I said.
"No. You jump now and I will kill everyone there," Cooldra said.
"Well, that works. Good luck," I said before jumping off.
Most of the enemies are expert level mages. But there should be some master level mages here who will notice that the armored man falling from the sky is the Aura user.
This might lure the cult to attack Rygis more often in the future. But since Shelia is here, I hope that the cult will think that I’m here because my familiar was here first.
Well, whatever the case, there’s nothing we can do whether they found out if I live in Rygis or any other country. Nothing except fighting back after finding out their attack. Like right now.
"That’s the Aura user! He’s here! Kill him!"
I was right. A master level mage noticed that I’m the Aura user wearing full armor even though I’m still mid-air. And he even shot a rather powerful wind magic to me.
But he’s just a weaker than average master level mage. I easily cut his magic using my sword. The sword that the Blacksmith made for the sheath which was a powerful Aura weapon.
After I left Victoria and Ray in another country, I quickly grabbed my sword-cane. I can’t just use Victoria or Blobby’s ability to shapeshift in front of the enemy after all.
After that, I stepped on the air to make my descent faster. Hitting the ground using speed fast enough to make the ground shake a bit and make the mages around me lost their balance. Then killing them was easy.
Then I noticed a gaze. The master level wind mage who attacked me before. He didn’t stare at my. Rather, he starred at my right hand.
Oh, right. They didn’t know yet that I have my right hand regenerated. Well, I guess they know now.
"He has recovered his right hand! The Aura user has his right hand back!"
That’s what he shouted before I cut him right at his mouth. Severing him horizontally from the jaw.
"Doesn’t matter if you learned about it or not. I’m going to kill all of you here! Or maybe capture. Depend on how easy it is to let you live instead of killing you," I said.
On the other side, I could see Cooldra freeze most of the enemies with one breath. Then he used his claws to fight them in close range, while protecting himself using his wings from distant attack.
After the game of tag we did so many times, he invested his own martial arts. The dragon arts. And he teaches them to the other dragons.
Fighting using his wings. His claws. Punching by closing his claws to make a fist. Though it does not look like a human’s fist.
Kicking. Flailing his tail. And even biting.
After living in the village, he got a taste of cooked meat. And all the dragons there prefer to eat cooked meat more than raw meat. Just like the other monsters living there.
Cooldra himself even said that he didn’t want to eat any more raw food. But he’s biting someone’s head right now and swallowed it. It’s contradicting what he said. But I guess it doesn’t matter in a matter of life or death. The act of eating someone’s head in front of the enemy can drop their morale.
By the way, he learned that on his own. Not through the game of tag. After all, if he ever swallowed someone’s head during the game, the others will fight him with the intent to kill. He would be dead if he even tried it.
And of course the greatest strength of Dragon Arts is in their breath attack. He threw many enemies in one direction and shoots an icy breath attack to that direction freezing a lot of them in one go.
"I guess I’m not needed here. Cooldra, I’ll leave this place to you!" I said to Cooldra.
"You should have done it from the start!"
And so I left this place to him. And since there are fewer dragons than werewolves, I move first to where the other dragons fight.
The soldiers of Rygis were quite strong. After all, this is the first country where I found someone who has reached master level without my help. Patricia and his granddaughter.
Most of the soldiers here haven’t reached master level. But when I first arrived to this country and learned about it from Yuria, I knew that most of the soldiers back then have reached expert level.
With our knowledge about magic, they have gotten even stronger now. That’s why among the smaller countries, Rygis is the one with the most master level mages. With four of them protecting this small country. It could be five if Patricia’s granddaughter joined. But she used to be with the cult. So we can’t really trust her now.
Right now, I’m going to where some dragons were fighting. And there’s a master level mage here. Patricia.
"Patricia, aren’t you supposed to protect your President?" I asked.
"I am protecting her right now. As long as there’s no one who can get close to her, then she’s safe," she said.
"Fair enough. I’ll take care of the master level mages here. You can handle the rest, right?" I asked.
"The rest are around a hundred of them. But yes, with our force, we can handle them," she said.
Even if we add the dragons, there’s only about thirty of us here. But yeah, if the enemies are just expert level mages, Patricia and the others can handle them.
And so I started looking for the enemy’s master level mages. Not just here, but also in other locations. Except for where Cooldra and Shelia were. They want to kill the strong ones themselves.
It took a while for me to kill them all. Because finding one among so many people is hard. But I still did it.
It became easier when they knew that the Aura user is here. Most of the master level mages started focusing to look for me instead of whatever their original mission was. And I managed to capture some of them.
I am now stronger than any master level mage. But if they have reached the stage beyond master level, then I might need to go all out using the force of an Aura Master to even kill one of them.
All of a sudden, I got news from Graham and Crabbe. Unlike Shelia, I didn’t bring them here and didn’t return them to the Monsters Village as well. They stayed behind in where they’re supposed to protect.
’Master, I found some suspicious people moving. Seems like they’re making a move here as well,’ Graham said.
"Here as well, Master. I’m in the middle of a fight against three master level mages. But I got the help from the people here,’ Crabbe said.
...I feel like I won’t have a chance to rest today.
