Chapter 999: Capturing the Bull

Li Futian nodded, "Yeah, if it was the old pond, our village could handle it by ourselves. But now, with such a big lake, we don’t have the ability to manage it—not even the whole township!"

"Right, you’re absolutely correct!"

Ling Feng nodded and then said, "I really like this place. Leave it to me; I’ll make sure to develop it well, whether it’s for tourism or fish farming. It’s going to be big!"

"That would be fantastic, I thank you on behalf of all the villagers in advance, President Ling!" Li Futian said, overjoyed.

"Don’t mention it, I’ll take some photos first."

Ling Feng smiled, took out his phone, snapped a few pictures of the lake, and then sent them to Mo Jiaolan.

A minute later, her call came in: "Where have you gone off to?"

Ling Feng chuckled, "Still in our area. This is Xiao Chi Village, about fifteen kilometers from Shiliu Village!"

"Huh? How come there’s a lake? I don’t remember there being one before!" Mo Jiaolan said in surprise.

"Strange, isn’t it? This appeared out of nowhere not long ago. I came to check it out, the scenery is fantastic. Do you want to come and see?" Ling Feng asked.

"Sure, but I don’t have time now, I’ve got a meeting soon!" Mo Jiaolan said.

"No rush, just let me know when you’re free, and I’ll take you here. For now, I’ll just scout the place. We can talk about how to develop it when you come over," Ling Feng said.

"Okay, I’ll call you then!"

Mo Jiaolan said one last thing and then hung up.

Ling Feng didn’t want to linger too long after setting his sights on the place. He was planning to bid farewell to Li Futian and then head home, to return later with Mo Jiaolan.

But unexpectedly, just as he was about to leave, cries of alarm sounded from a nearby village!

Ling Feng and the others were taken aback, turning their heads to look toward the village, wondering what had happened.

They quickly found out when they saw more than a dozen big Yellow cattle suddenly charging out of the village, stampeding past!

"Old Huang’s cattle got spooked!"

Li Futian shouted, then turned and shielded Ling Feng, "President Ling, be careful! Don’t get hit by the cattle!"

Ling Feng, dumbfounded but touched, knew the stampeding cattle would have to pass this way. Li Futian was risking his own safety to protect him, something not many would do.

So he smiled, gently pushed Li Futian aside and said, "Don’t worry, I’ll stop them!"

With that, he stepped into the middle of the road.

"You...."

Li Futian’s eyes widened in shock, too stunned to speak!

So he could only turn, seeking help from Yu Linglong.

This girl was too beautiful, like a Heavenly Immortal descended to earth. He’d been too nervous to even look at her from the start.

But now, he couldn’t just stand by. Ling Feng was facing those frightened Yellow cattle alone. It could be fatal, and Li Futian felt he couldn’t shoulder such a responsibility!

Unexpectedly, Yu Linglong didn’t seem nervous at all, instead, she smiled, "Don’t be afraid, he can handle it!"

Ling Feng stepped forward and touched one of them, then said to Li Futian, "It’s okay now, drive the cattle back!"

Li Futian sighed in relief, wiping the cold sweat from his forehead before coming closer, then curiously asked, "Mr. Ling, how did you do that?"

"It’s nothing, just burst out with a qi field to subdue them," Ling Feng said indifferently.

"Qi field?"

It was not strange, really. Since the founding of Ling Corporation, Ling Feng’s name had spread throughout the entire county, and many people thought he was now the richest man in the county!

Furthermore, the development and construction of Shiliu Village had caused a stir in the surrounding ten miles. Many people from Xiao Chi Village had gone to see the newly built buildings, returning with envy on their faces, lamenting why their village didn’t have such an impressive figure!

Now seeing Ling Feng in person, everyone looked at each other, none daring to speak.
