Lin Xue spoke in a relaxed tone, "Yeah, haven’t you gone to bed yet?"

"I was planning to sleep, but the boss told me to organize some documents, so I had no choice but to stay up late!" Guo Kai said with a laugh.

Meanwhile, Ling Feng and Lin Xue left the precinct and rushed back to the school gate at top speed.

Guo Kai hadn’t come out yet; Ling Feng briefed Lin Xue before his figure vanished into the darkness nearby.

Lin Xue, like a true actress, stood helplessly at the school gate, looking very lost.

"In the East district, on the twelfth floor of the Fuxing Building!" Guo Kai quickly answered.

Ling Feng frowned, "Are you sure he’s still there?"

"Positive, we came from Capital City; there’s nowhere else to go but this branch office!" Guo Kai explained.

"Well then, sorry to say, you’ll have to come with us!"

After saying this, Ling Feng signaled for the Security Bureau’s car to come over.

Once inside the car, Guo Kai, still baffled, cautiously asked, "Why, why are you looking for my boss?"

"That," Ling Feng said, "we’ll discuss once we’ve caught him. First, tell me, during your drinks with Liu Tao, did you two talk about me, Lin Xue, and the lab?"

"Yes, yes, we did."

Ling Feng scoffed coldly, "That makes sense then. That Kondo is probably a spy. Your conversation with Liu Tao reached his ears; he just tried to steal the data and even destroyed the lab!"

With a cold laugh, Ling Feng promptly got out of the car with Guo Kai in tow as soon as they stopped.

Approaching the building entrance, Ling Feng finally released his grip, and looking at Guo Kai who nearly collapsed, Ling Feng spoke sternly, "Pull yourself together, come upstairs with me!"

"Okay, okay."

While Guo Kai agreed readily, his legs were shaking like chaff as he slowly followed behind.

Upon entering the building, the duty staff immediately approached, "Which company?"

This was an office building, and it wasn’t uncommon for some staff to stay late working overtime or for someone to come over at night for urgent matters.

Ling Feng was about to let Guo Kai respond when the elevator dinged and a short, portly middle-aged man stepped out!
