The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 780: Laboratory

Chapter 780: Laboratory

Faced with such a complex environment, Ling Feng could only say, "Professionals really are different!"

After changing his clothes, he followed Liu Tao’s guidance to the disinfection room. At this time, two white-clothed people, wobbling like penguins, passed by, and he couldn’t even tell which one was Lin Xue and which one was Tang Hong.

In protective clothing, it was impossible to make out any figure, and both individuals were of a similar height. Without speaking, it was impossible to tell who was who!

A moment later, Professor Tang also came out and said in a muffled voice, "Alright, Liu Tao, go tend to your matters. We will take it from here."

"Yes, Teacher!"

Liu Tao turned and left, and Professor Tang took Ling Feng and the others into the disinfection room.

After two thorough disinfections, the group entered a laboratory located underground.

The space wasn’t very large, just about the size of a living room, and it was filled with various experimental equipment.

"Ling Feng, take out the items," Professor Tang said, standing beside a box with two circular holes.

"Okay."

It seemed that Professor Tang knew he had placed the items inside the Space Ring.

Without hesitation, he reached into one of the holes, flipped his palm, and the box appeared in his hand.

After setting it down, Professor Tang continued, "Tang Hong, begin the analysis."

"Got it."

Tang Hong nodded and walked over to a machine, pressing a button.

A purple light shone, then slowly scanned over the wooden box.

After scanning twice, Professor Tang spoke again, "Ling Feng, open the lid."

"Okay."

As he opened the lid, the scanning process repeated itself twice more.

Ling Feng thought to himself, If there were any bacteria or viruses on this, our group would likely have been infected by now.

"Teacher, everything is normal!" Tang Hong said, looking at the analysis data and turning her head.

"Good!"

Professor Tang nodded, directly opened the box, and then took out the box inside.

There were nine types in total. After placing the seeds on the table, Professor Tang bent over to look at them for a while before raising his head and saying, "Indeed, they’re not any species I’ve seen before!"

"So, what do we do next?"

"Leave that to me and Tang Hong," said Professor Tang, and he went on to add, "Don’t worry, Tang Hong is my daughter, and she knows how to keep secrets."

"Alright."

Ling Feng nodded and stood next to Lin Xue.

They really didn’t need any help with the remaining tasks. The father and daughter began to get busy, peeling the outer shell of the seeds, extracting the seeds for sectioning, while Ling Feng and Lin Xue could only watch blankly.

That was the task, and Ling Feng couldn’t say much, only patiently waiting.

As a result, as he waited, three to four hours passed by.

The Tangs were very meticulous, seemingly forgetting the passing of time, but Ling Feng was struggling, feeling like he could barely stand any longer.

He turned to look at Lin Xue and noticed she hadn’t moved at all, very quiet, absolutely still. Ling Feng even wondered if she had fallen asleep.

Not being able to hold back, he reached out and poked her.

Lin Xue turned her head, her voice muffled by the mask, "What’s up?"

"No worries, just didn’t want you to fall asleep, so I thought I’d remind you!" Ling Feng said with a smile.

Lin Xue: "..."

"The wait must be too dull for you both? Otherwise, you could leave first, and Tang Hong and I will join you after we’re finished," Professor Tang suggested, lifting his head.

Ling Feng shook his head, "That’s alright, I want to know the results as soon as possible; better to wait."

Professor Tang laughed, "The results won’t be out today, it takes several days to complete the gene sequencing and subsequent cultivation!"

"But starting tomorrow, you won’t need to wear all of this, and it will be more relaxed than now!"

Ling Feng breathed a sigh of relief, "That’s good!"

After another hour, the father and daughter finished preparing the samples, placing the transparent glass dishes into a box and securing them with several password locks.

Afterwards, Professor Tang lifted his head, "Ling Feng, I’ll entrust this box to you for safekeeping. We’re moving to a different place now!"

"Alright!"

Ling Feng stepped forward, took the box into his Ring, and the group left the laboratory.

Once outside, after changing out of the protective clothing, Ling Feng took a deep breath and said to Professor Tang with admiration, "I didn’t realize until now just how tough it is for you scientists!"

"It’s fine, you get used to it. When conducting research, you must be rigorous to get the most accurate data, right?" Professor Tang said with a smile.

Ling Feng thought to himself that he certainly didn’t have their patience. Nine Heavens had already produced a sample, and he had no idea how long this would take; too long and he wouldn’t be able to wait!

Having changed back into casual clothes, they returned to the laboratory upstairs, and by then it was already evening.

Ling Feng only realized how much time had passed when he saw the dark corridors outside, and a glance at his phone revealed it was already nine o’clock at night.

Liu Tao, the man named earlier, was gone, probably having left when his shift ended.

"You two rushed to the Demon Capital and have been in the lab for such a long time, you must be hungry?" Professor Tang asked.

Ling Feng smiled and said he was fine because he didn’t feel hungry after eating the White Jiao skin.

The same went for Lin Xue, she didn’t feel anything either.

But considering that the Tang father and daughter must be hungry, Ling Feng said, "Yes, let’s hurry and find somewhere to eat something!"

"Good, to welcome you both, I’ll treat you to dinner today!"

Professor Tang smiled and led the way out.

Tang Hong was responsible for locking up last, ensuring that the laboratory doors were all locked before catching up with the group.

The campus was still active at this time, with some students holding books, others basketballs, chatting and laughing in groups, full of youthful energy.

Upon reaching the canteen, it was brightly lit and bustling with many students eating, though it was unclear if it was dinner or a midnight snack.

They found a quiet spot to sit, and Professor Tang asked his daughter to order from the counter. Turning to Ling Feng and Lin Xue, he said, "Please excuse the humble surroundings!"

"You’re being too modest, Professor Tang. It’s an honor for us to dine with one of our country’s leading biologists!" Lin Xue said with a smile.

Ling Feng gave her a surprised look, thinking to himself when did she do her homework? He knew the man’s surname was Tang, but that was about it!

"You’re too kind, my girl. I’ve just been researching for a longer time than most. As for being unrivaled, I hardly think so," Professor Tang said with a laugh.

At this point, he became more serious, "If I could make a new discovery that would be immensely beneficial to our country, that would be my honor!"

"Well, if that happens, you’d be a hero to the nation!" Lin Xue smiled.

The conversation could go no further.

After all, they were surrounded by students, and speaking too freely might lead to a leak of information.

Tang Hong quickly returned, having ordered several dishes and bowls of rice. The four of them chatted about everyday things and soon finished their dinner.

After leaving the canteen, Professor Tang instructed his daughter, "Take our guests to the Reception Hall. I’ve already booked the rooms."
