Ling Feng was a bit puzzled by Han Wancheng’s words.

Looking at his expression, Ling Feng gave a bitter smile: "Boss, Yuhan is your niece. I remember you even warned me about this before..."

Seeing her insistence, Ling Feng didn’t ask further and took a sip from the teacup.

The tea was refreshing, leaving a rich aftertaste on the palate. Ling Feng looked up at Chen Fei and said, "Good tea, not much inferior to my Lingyun Tea!"

"So you think this tea is quite good too?"

Chen Fei chuckled and quickly continued, "This is a new variety introduced by our county. We’re planning to cultivate it on a large scale. Do you think it has potential?"

"Of course it has potential!"

Ling Feng nodded: "This tea tastes great, it will definitely sell well!"

"That’s good to hear!"

Chen Fei smiled and continued, "Currently, the county has seventy thousand acres of tea gardens, and we’re preparing to switch all of them to this new variety of tea leaves."

She paused to look at Ling Feng, "But it’s a big project. At our current work efficiency, it will take at least three years to complete."

"That long?"

Ling Feng pondered and asked her, "What do you need me to do?"

"I was thinking, could you invest in it, to give the tea farmers some reassurance?"

Chen Fei tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and continued, "Once they feel secure, the entire transformation of the tea gardens can be completed in a short time!"

Ling Feng understood her intention. Hearing about promoting a new variety, the tea farmers would definitely adopt a wait-and-see attitude.

This would certainly slow down the promotion process.

Ling Feng had already invested in two projects here, both of which had yielded good returns and established his reputation. If he stepped in, the tea farmers would certainly respond positively.

Understanding Chen Fei’s well-intentioned efforts, Ling Feng immediately nodded and said, "Alright, let’s do as you say. I’ll have Sister Lan or Yu Mei send someone over to incorporate the tea tree transformation project into the Shiliu Village Group!"

The office door opened, and a female police officer walked in: "Director, a serious assault case has occurred in Dawang Township. The local police station is seeking assistance from the bureau."

"Have they notified the criminal police team?" Chen Fei asked sternly.

"Yes, they have, and they’re preparing to head out." the female officer replied.

Chen Fei nodded: "Good, let them go first, I’ll be on my way shortly!"

After saying this, she took the file handed over by the female officer and glanced over it.

The female officer, recognizing Ling Feng, gave him a nod of acknowledgment before saying, "I’ll head out now."

After she left, Ling Feng got up and approached Chen Fei: "What’s going on?"

"It’s a malicious assault case."

Chen Fei frowned, looked up at him: "You should head back. I have to go to the crime scene!"

"I’ll go with you then, I’m not in a hurry to return anyway!" Ling Feng said.

"That would be good."

Chen Fei actually didn’t want Ling Feng to leave, but knowing he was a busy person, she hesitated to ask him to stay.

Now hearing his offer to stay, Chen Fei felt naturally pleased.

They went downstairs and approached a police car. Ling Feng joked, "You, as the chief, shouldn’t drive yourself, let me do it!"
