Chapter 1617 - 1616: Ambushed

Ling Feng was stunned and hurriedly asked, "Why?"

"Because I’m not available these days!" Sato Saori said.

"Uh..."

Ling Feng felt a bit disappointed upon hearing this.

So he looked at Sato Saori, "Then why did you call me over!"

"What? Is that all that’s in your head, can’t you just keep me company purely?" Sato Saori tilted her head and asked irritably.

Ling Feng cursed, looking up at the sky.

He immediately saw a white trail in the sky, ahead of which a metallic glinting object was plummeting toward them!

Without time to explain, Ling Feng grabbed Sato Saori by the waist and leapt up once more.

Another huge explosion.

"What’s going on? Are we being attacked?"

After landing, seeing the thick smoke in the distance, Sato Saori asked in shock.

Ling Feng looked up at the sky, found no new source of attack, and nodded solemnly, "Yes, and it’s missiles launched from high altitude!"

His Divine Sense hadn’t detected what was attacking them, so he deduced the opponent must be at an altitude of over a thousand meters.

The two attacks failed, and no further ones came, suggesting the attacker seemed short on weapons.

Ling Feng said and took out his satellite phone, thought for a moment, and dialed Zhang He’s number.

Once connected, Zhang He’s voice came through, "I thought you didn’t want to chat with me?"

"I’m not calling to chat, I was attacked!"

After hearing it, Zhang He stood up directly, "How are you? Are you hurt?"

"No!"

Ling Feng rolled his eyes, "Underestimating me, huh? A couple of missiles can’t touch me!"

Ling Feng hung up and turned to Sato Saori, "Let’s use a large Teleportation Array to return to Longyuan, then I’ll get Feier or Little Yu here to check what that thing in the sky is!"

Sato Saori nodded.

They placed the Teleportation Array on the ground and returned to Longyuan, after which Ling Feng called Li Feier.

Upon hearing about the incident, Li Feier teleported back without a word.

When the three returned to the scene, the smoke from the earlier explosions hadn’t even cleared.

Viewing the two large craters from afar, Li Feier didn’t hesitate, summoned Little Hong, and flew up on its back.

Ling Feng packed up the Teleportation Array, stood in place with Sato Saori, and waited for a few minutes.

A crimson figure descended from the sky and had just landed when Ling Feng saw another silvery object appear in the sky.

As she finished speaking, the plane crashed to the ground, shattering into pieces.
