Chapter 1578 - 1577: Lingfa Temple

"Yes, Brother Ling, the experimental data is almost perfect!" Mu Yuhan said excitedly.

"That’s great!"

Ling Feng nodded, then asked, "By the way, is there a smaller version of this machine?"

"It has been designed, but we haven’t started producing the components yet. Why do you ask, Brother Ling?" Mu Yuhan inquired.

"If there is one, prepare a unit for me later. I want to keep it as a souvenir at home!" Ling Feng said.

"That shouldn’t be a problem!"

Mu Yuhan nodded, "Although this is a piece of cutting-edge technology and a highly confidential achievement, if you apply, it should be approved."

"Alright then!"

Ling Feng nodded again, noticing Chen Yuhe looking at him curiously. He just smiled, but said nothing.

After the visit, the group returned upstairs, and Ling Feng bid farewell.

Wu Xiaomin wanted to keep him for a meal, but Ling Feng insisted on leaving, so reluctantly he arranged a car to take him back to the hotel.

In the room, Chen Yuhe finally asked, "Why did you want that machine?"

"It’s strange to say!"

Ling Feng laughed, pulling her to sit down, then continued, "During the experiment, my body actually reacted!"

"What?"

Chen Yuhe was taken aback, looking down between his legs, asking in astonishment, "How is that possible?"

Ling Feng was speechless, pinched her nose gently, "What are you thinking, girl? I’m talking about a cell reaction, not a physiological one!"

"Oh!"

Chen Yuhe giggled, then asked, "But, what’s the connection between nuclear fusion and your cells?"

"I’m not sure either, that’s why I need to research it!"

Ling Feng shrugged, and continued, "The machine’s energy reaction could actually activate the Spiritual Power in my cells, which I didn’t expect. If it proves useful, maybe my bodily limitations can be lifted, allowing me to break through to a higher realm!"

"Oh my god!"

Chen Yuhe covered her mouth, eyes wide: "If you can break through to the Core Formation Realm, wouldn’t you be able to fly in the sky?"

"Not quite, if every cell developed an inner core, that’d be quite scary to think about!" Ling Feng said with a bitter smile.

They chatted for a bit and realized it was already noon. Ling Feng looked at Chen Yuhe, "What do you want to eat for lunch?"

"Anything, I’m not picky, but after eating, you have to come out with me!" Chen Yuhe said.

"Still want to go shopping?" Ling Feng asked.

"No, I had something planned originally, but it got delayed this morning, so let’s go in the afternoon!" Chen Yuhe said.

Ling Feng, curious, asked: "What is it?"

"You’ll know when we get there, let’s grab some food first!"

Chen Yuhe took his arm, standing up with a giggle.

Then the two went downstairs to the restaurant, casually ordering some food.

After lunch, they found a taxi outside. Chen Yuhe instructed the driver, "Sir, take us to Lingfa Temple!"

Ling Feng was surprised, asking, "You’re not going there to burn incense, are you?"

"Of course not, incense burning is usually in the morning, who does it in the afternoon?"

Chen Yuhe rolled her eyes, then hugged his arm, "Don’t ask, you’ll know soon enough!"

Ling Feng relented, nodding, "Alright."

The car left the hotel, driving for quite a while before arriving at a large temple’s vicinity, far beyond the outskirts.

Seeing the temple’s vastness, Ling Feng was amazed, astonished there was such a large temple near Capital City.

The car stopped, Chen Yuhe paid, then pulled Ling Feng straight into the temple.

There were many tourists here, it had clearly become a popular spot.

Inside the temple, ancient trees towered, with tourists either taking photos or resting, all quite happy.

Amongst them, a few monks in their ochre robes could be seen, making Ling Feng secretly marvel, finding this temple quite extraordinary.

With so many monks, how big could this place be?

Intrigued by Chen Yuhe’s intent, he grew more curious.

Through Daxiong Hall, they passed two courtyards and arrived at the monks’ quarters in the back.

This was where tourists had to stop. A monk, seeing them arrive, quickly came out, "Please hold on, travelers!"

"Hello, I’m here to see Mage Songde, could you please inform him?" Chen Yuhe said.

"The Mage doesn’t see guests," the monk replied.

Chen Yuhe nodded, "I know, but please tell him I’m Chen Gang’s daughter."

The monk hesitated, then bowed, "Please wait a moment."

"Alright!"

After the monk went inside, Ling Feng asked Chen Yuhe, "What? Your father knows this Mage Songde?"

"Yes, they had some connections back then, and I only found a letter from my father recently while tidying the house, so I made time to come over." Chen Yuhe said.

Ling Feng let out an ’Oh’, then asked, "What did the letter say?"

"It didn’t specify much, just said that if I saw it, I should come here and find the Mage, then I’d understand!" Chen Yuhe replied.

As they spoke, the monk returned, joining his hands in prayer, "Travelers, please come with me!"

Chen Yuhe smiled, "Thank you for your trouble."

They proceeded into the monks’ quarters, where the fragrance of incense was immediately strong.

After a few turns, they reached the meditation room’s entrance. The monk bowed, "The Mage is inside, please go in!"

Chen Yuhe expressed her gratitude, then pushed the door open.

The room was very simple, containing almost nothing besides a bed and a table.

An elder monk with long eyebrows sat on a mat, seemingly in meditation.

The monk exuded warmth, creating a comforting feeling upon sight.

At this moment, Mage Songde opened his eyes, glanced at Chen Yuhe, "Are you Chen Gang’s daughter?"

"Yes, my name is Chen Yuhe. I remember the last time I saw you, I was only five or six years old." Chen Yuhe said.

"Yes, you were very young then!"

Mage Songde nodded before saying, "Much time has passed, we’ve all changed since then, please sit."

Ling Feng and Chen Yuhe sat on the mat, and he quickly asked, "How is Chen Gang?"

"My father passed away nearly a year ago."

Chen Yuhe looked down, her voice low and full of sorrow.

Mage Songde showed little surprise, nodding slightly, "I see."

He looked at Chen Yuhe, then at Ling Feng, "You’ve come because of Chen Gang’s request, right?"

"Yes, I found a letter from my father, indicating that if anything happened to him, I should find you!" Chen Yuhe said.

"Very well, it is time for it to return to its rightful owner!"

Mage Songde spoke, and suddenly a white light glowed in his palm!
