Although he suspected that the treasure might be at the very center of the city, Ling Feng didn’t rush in. Instead, he walked while scanning the surroundings with his Divine Sense.

However, the place was too vast. To walk from one side to the other would be at least a twenty-kilometer distance, and his Divine Sense could only cover less than a square kilometer here, making it impossible to notice all the details.

"Finally, someone has come!"

The voice echoed inside the tower, with a slight resonance.

Ling Feng was stunned, then asked, "Who are you?"

The voice continued, "I used the last of my divine power to forge this city, and since you are the first person to arrive, I shall entrust it to you!"

As the voice faded, a bright white beam of light enveloped Ling Feng!

He shuddered immediately, as if struck by lightning!

Before he could speak, he suddenly realized there was a new scene in his mind, a panoramic view of the city.

"The City Lord’s imprint has been placed on you; my mission is complete."

The voice spoke again, and the white light disappeared; the interior of the tower quickly returned to silence.

As Ling Feng stood there bewildered, the snow-white tower gradually began to change color, turning to the grayish-blue hue of the surrounding buildings!

Ling Feng was speechless.

Just two sentences and it’s done? Why not say more, like who built this place or for what purpose, nothing was mentioned!

He called out twice tentatively, but getting no response, Ling Feng knew there was no hope.

In resignation, he could only shake his head, then focused his Divine Sense on the top of the tower.
