Chapter 1529 - 1528: Entering
Chapter 1529 - 1528: Entering
Ling Feng was a bit perplexed by what Yu Linglong said, but then a flash of inspiration struck him!
He quickly asked, "Do you mean that this cave actually appeared only after Bore Temple was set on fire?"
"Yes, otherwise, it wouldn’t be as empty as it is now!"
Yu Linglong nodded and walked deeper into the cave entrance.
The more Ling Feng thought about it, the more sense it made, so he quickly followed her: "Luckily, I brought you along. I never thought about this point!"
"I also had a sudden hunch, like some kind of premonition, that came to me only after entering the cave." Yu Linglong said as she reached the end of the cave and looked at the dark brown stone wall, feeling it with her hand.
Ling Feng did the same, reaching out to touch the rock, feeling the coolness under his hand, without any special sensation.
But both of them knew there was something amiss here, so next, Ling Feng drew his God Slayer Saber and slashed at the rock!
As a result, the usually indestructible blade met a formidable adversary this time!
The blade couldn’t penetrate the rock at all.
Seeing this, Ling Feng was utterly dumbfounded!
The two exchanged glances, and Yu Linglong said, "This isn’t ordinary stone, but I’m not sure what it is."
"Let’s call everyone over. Little Yu and the others don’t need to patrol anymore."
After Ling Feng said this, he turned around and quickly walked out of the cave.
With a loud shout, he soon gathered everyone together.
Long Xiaoyu landed with Li Yun’er, then asked in perplexity, "What’s going on?"
"We seem to have found the entrance, but the stone here can’t even be cut open by the God Slayer Saber. Everyone come take a look and let’s think of a solution together!"
After Ling Feng said this, he turned and entered the cave, followed by the group.
Turning on the high-beam flashlight, the bright light illuminated the inside of the cave, and everyone stood in front of the stone wall.
Yang Guang touched it with his small hand, then turned around and said, "This is indeed not ordinary rock; it has a strong concentration of Power of the Five Elements inside!"
Then he looked at Ling Feng, "Uncle, do you still have any water attribute Five Elements Fruit?"
"Yes!"
Ling Feng nodded, quickly taking out a few Five Elements Fruits.
Yang Guang took them and turned to the others, saying, "Everyone, step back a bit; I’m going to start now!"
People stepped back a few paces, and Yang Guang raised his hand, flinging a Five Elements Fruit at the stone wall.
Immediately, everyone saw the stone wall start to dissolve!
"Eh, what’s the principle behind this?" Li Fei’er asked curiously.
"The stone wall is fire attribute, and water overcomes fire. The Five Elements Power in this fruit is extremely pure, so naturally, it can restrain it!" Yang Guang explained.
The stone wall gradually dissolved, turning into a muddy slurry. Then Yang Guang threw a few more Five Elements Fruits, and the dissolution speed rapidly increased.
A few minutes later, everyone saw a hole appear in the stone wall!
The hole gradually expanded, revealing a long corridor inside.
Ling Feng was already impatient, and his Divine Sense immediately explored ahead.
He was then greeted with a startling scene.
The passage didn’t go far before entering a vast underground space, then transformed into stairs leading deep down the cliff.
When the rock dissolved enough for a person to pass through, Ling Feng dashed in immediately.
The others closely followed, and the group soon reached the end of the passage, beside the stone steps.
The pitch-dark underground space made it impossible to gauge its vastness and depth.
Ling Feng’s Divine Sense also couldn’t reach far, making it impossible to see further.
With no other option, he used the strong flashlight to shine below, but unfortunately, the light vanished into the darkness, unable to illuminate anything!
"This place is truly vast!"
Li Fei’er remarked with amazement, then continued, "There isn’t even an echo!"
"The space is too expansive; it’s no different from standing in an open area outside, so naturally, there won’t be an echo!"
Ling Feng commented, then smiled wryly, "In a place this big, apart from the sun, I don’t know what can light it up!"
"I have a way!"
Xia Lan said, with a flash of light in her hand, as a white, round stone rose from her palm, slowly drifting into the distance.
"Everyone, be prepared; the light might become a bit blinding!"
Xia Lan reminded them.
With her words, everyone mentally prepared themselves.
Ling Feng curiously asked, "What is that?"
"It’s a Patching Sky Stone I retrieved," Xia Lan said calmly.
As soon as she said this, the stone suddenly shone brilliantly, emitting an intense light!
Everyone saw a flash before their eyes and instinctively closed them.
Once they adjusted, they were surprised to find that the glowing stone had embedded itself in the ceiling of the cave, the light no longer glaring, yet still intensely bright.
And indeed, this massive space was illuminated.
The other side was not visible at a glance, but the area where the stone steps led was now clear, and everyone saw beneath, dozens of meters below ground, there appeared a vast cluster of buildings!
"Wow, it’s really comparable to the Eight Trigrams Array in size!" Ling Feng exclaimed.
"It’s true, Uncle. Now that we’re here, aren’t you going to hunt for treasure?" Yang Guang asked.
"Of course!"
Upon hearing this, Ling Feng eagerly prepared to run down the stone steps.
Li Fei’er pulled him back: "Going down like this is too troublesome. Watch me!"
Then she summoned Little Hong and jumped right on it!
She then turned around and said, "My Little Hong can carry three more people!"
"Leave the rest to me!"
Long Xiaoyu said, once more transforming into the Divine Dragon.
This left Chen Hong in a dilemma; she wanted to try riding Little Hong but also wanted to experience being on the Divine Dragon’s back.
Once everyone found their places, she had no choice but to leap onto Long Xiaoyu’s back.
Soon after, the Divine Dragon and Fire Qilin flew up and quickly descended into the massive city.
The buildings here were all made of stone, yet they weren’t crude at all, even featuring intricately carved beams and painted structures, looking quite luxurious!
And even after centuries, there wasn’t a speck of dust on the stones.
Seeing these exquisite Eastern buildings, Yang Guang remarked, "Actually, this place could be decorated. If the sculptures were colored, it would be no different from an imperial garden!"
"That’s not important; what matters is where the treasure is!"
Ling Feng said, expanding his Divine Sense and striding forward quickly.
Everyone knew he was impatient, and they all shook their heads helplessly before following along.
However, as they walked toward the city center, the girls couldn’t help but chatter, speculating about the origins of this place.
A city appearing out of nowhere, was this place specially designed, or was it rebuilt based on some template?
What was the purpose of those who created this place?
Could this be someone’s tomb?
