Chapter 1345: Evil Intent
Chapter 1345: Evil Intent
Ling Feng originally thought of taking out some ready-made food from his bracelet, but then he thought, since they’re already deep in the ocean, why not get something locally?
So after sitting down, he looked at Shinozuka Haruko and asked, "When do we expect to reach Ryukyu?"
"Eight o’clock tonight," Shinozuka Haruko replied.
Ling Feng made a sound of acknowledgment: "It’s not urgent anyway, let’s stop the boat first, and I’ll see if there are any fish around. Let’s get something fresh to eat!"
"Alright!"
Shinozuka Haruko had no objections and went to replace Sato Saori at the helm before turning off the engine of the dinghy.
The boat began to drift freely on the sea, and Ling Feng extended his Divine Sense through the water, scanning the seabed.
The water here was over a hundred meters deep, which somewhat hindered his Divine Sense, but it also allowed him to see the entire landscape below.
Ling Feng quickly spotted a big fish over two meters long, his eyes lit up!
Then he turned to everyone and said, "Wait for me a moment!"
With that, he leaped into the sea!
Sato Saori was stunned; before she could speak, he had already dived underwater.
"Don’t worry about him. Ling Feng can stay underwater for days without any issues. Just wait for the meal!" Long Xiaoyu said.
Sure enough, after a few minutes, Ling Feng surfaced holding a large fish.
Once he landed back on the dinghy, Sato Saori and Shinozuka Haruko both exclaimed in surprise, eyes wide open!
In Ling Feng’s grasp was a swordfish over two meters long, a very ferocious species with immense underwater attack capabilities and swimming speeds comparable to a heavy torpedo!
But in Ling Feng’s hand, this fish looked like a small grass carp, unable to move!
"Wow, you’re amazing, catching such a big swordfish with your bare hands!" Sato Saori praised.
"So this thing is called a swordfish?"
Ling Feng smiled, then threw the fish onto the deck and asked, "Is it delicious?"
"Of course it’s delicious; it’s a top-grade fish for making sashimi!" Sato Saori said.
"That’s great. I thought I’d let you guys taste something fresh, and here we are!"
Ling Feng chuckled, crouched down, took out the God Slayer Saber, and directly opened the fish’s belly.
He tossed the guts back into the sea and cut out the valuable meat, then Shinozuka Haruko brought out soy sauce and wasabi. Everyone feasted on the deck.
Although it wasn’t his first time eating sashimi, the fish from the unpolluted depths of the ocean had tight, juicy flesh with a special flavor. Ling Feng praised it as he ate, "This is really good stuff!"
Everyone ate quite a bit, but the swordfish weighed over three hundred pounds, and the four of them ate less than ten pounds. Ling Feng didn’t waste the remaining meat, storing it in his bracelet for later.
After resting for a while, Shinozuka Haruko prepared to start the boat and continue their journey to Ryukyu.
But just as she started the engine, a large ship suddenly appeared in the distance. It seemed to have spotted their dinghy and immediately headed toward them.
With the power of their dinghy, they could easily outpace them, but Ling Feng didn’t let Shinozuka Haruko do so. Instead, he had her stop the boat, wanting to see who these people were.
Soon, amidst the roar of engines, the ship came close, and the people on the deck could be clearly seen.
These people all had Asian faces, with dark skin and strong builds, which suggested they were fishermen or long-time seafarers.
As they approached the dinghy, the people on the ship also got a good look at the four people on board and were stunned.
Because the three women on the boat each had their unique charm, the young ones radiated youthful allure while the older ones exuded elegant grace, leaving the sailors dumbfounded.
At this moment, a man on the large ship loudly shouted, "What are you doing? Do you need help?"
The tone and accent were distinctly from the Southern Fujian region. Ling Feng smiled and said, "We’re just out here for leisure, thanks, but we don’t need help!"
"We’re all Huaxia people, no need to be polite. If you need help, just speak up!" the man on the ship shouted.
Ling Feng smiled and waved his hand, indicating no need.
It turned out to be a kind gesture, and he realized he had been overthinking things.
Actually, his Divine Sense had already locked onto the people on the ship, but now he didn’t want to keep watching them.
Before he could withdraw, he saw a crew member whisper to the speaking man, "Captain, those women are pretty fine, why don’t we just take them?"
"Nonsense, are you crazy?" the man said angrily.
"Captain, this is the high seas. We could kill them here and no one would know. What are you worried about?"
"No way, these people have an extraordinary demeanor; they’re clearly not ordinary. We can’t touch them!" the captain still refused.
But the one with bad intentions rolled his eyes and looked at the others, "What do you guys think?"
"We’ve been at sea for a month now, and it’s rare to see such beautiful women. I can’t hold myself back!" said a mustached man with an evil grin.
"Me too, those two young girls are so beautiful. I’ve never seen such pretty women!" another agreed.
They all looked at each other, then looked at the captain, "Boss, let’s do it. We’ve done it before; why suddenly hesitating?"
"...."
The captain looked hesitant and lowered his voice, saying, "I told you, people who dare to navigate a small boat into the deep sea are definitely not ordinary. Are you guys tired of living?"
"How can they not be ordinary? That guy looks like a rich kid out with girls. It’ll be perfect for us!" the mustached man argued.
"Forget what the boss said, let’s do it ourselves!"
A few crew members seemed unable to restrain themselves anymore, exchanged eye signals, and all rushed into the cabin.
Ling Feng felt speechless but noticed that after they entered the cabin, they pulled out a few Long Spears from beneath hidden wooden panels!
"What the hell?"
Upon seeing this, Ling Feng’s eyes widened instantly, thinking, what were these guys up to?
It seemed these weren’t fishermen but pirates!
Moments later, the mustached man, holding a gun, came up onto the deck and fired a burst of bullets into the sky.
Shinozuka Haruko and the others, without Divine Sense, didn’t know what was happening on the ship, but upon seeing the shots fired, they immediately realized they were encountering pirates!
The captain originally didn’t want to get involved, but the crew outnumbered him, and stopping them could get him in trouble. So he chose to remain silent.
After firing, the mustached man shouted at Ling Feng and the others on the dinghy, "Don’t move, bring the boat over, or my bullets won’t have eyes!"
