The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 1162: The Clown

Chapter 1162: The Clown

Ling Feng stopped in his tracks and turned to glance over there.

The speaker was a thin man with a sharp chin, wearing glasses, his features narrow and monkey-like. He didn’t look like someone from Huaxia but rather seemed to have Southeast Asian heritage.

When the man saw Ling Feng and the others hesitating, he immediately rushed over, shouting arrogantly, "Harbor Island doesn’t welcome your Huaxia people. Get out of here!"

His demeanor was aggressive and domineering, even though he was half a head shorter than Ling Feng, he still jumped around, yelling.

Seeing this, Ling Feng frowned and said, "Who are you?"

"I’m a Harbor Islander, and you’re not welcome here!" the thin man replied.

"Sorry, you don’t represent anyone. If you don’t welcome us, you can walk the other way or crawl back into your rat hole!" Ling Feng responded calmly.

"You Huaxia people! How dare you insult me!"

The glasses-wearing, monkey-faced man became enraged upon hearing this. He turned and shouted something in Cantonese to the onlookers.

Ling Feng didn’t understand and turned to Zheng Yitong. "What did he say?"

"He’s trying to incite everyone to gang up on you!" Zheng Yitong replied, frowning.

"Is that so? Where did this clown pop out from?"

Ling Feng furrowed his brows, and then his Mind Soul Art invaded the man’s brain!

The man, who had been jumping and trying to rally others against Ling Feng, suddenly froze, then fell to the ground trembling, letting out cries of pain!

"This guy seems to have had a mental breakdown. Could someone call an ambulance?"

Ling Feng called out, then turned and entered the elevator.

He couldn’t be bothered to deal with such clowns, a brief lesson was enough.

However, on the way downstairs toward the car, Zheng Yitong remarked, "Lately, Harbor Island has had quite a few people like that guy, loudly denying their Huaxia identity, instead embracing the nationality from the time of the British Empire. It’s utterly disgraceful!"

"These people must have been brainwashed, right?" Ling Feng asked.

"It’s very likely. Certain people in America specialize in this kind of thing. Rumor has it that these individuals are all trained by them!" Zheng Yitong nodded.

"Oh, this won’t do!"

Ling Feng narrowed his eyes, thought for a moment, and said, "At this rate, something bad will happen!"

"They’re just clowns; they probably can’t stir up any major trouble." Zheng Yitong commented.

Ling Feng didn’t quite agree. He mulled it over and decided to investigate the situation further later.

The sky was already beginning to darken; instead of returning to the villa, the three of them headed to the dock, where a white yacht was waiting for them.

Once aboard, the whistle sounded, and the yacht slowly left the harbor.

Ling Feng was standing on the deck at this point, scrolling through his phone for Ah Tai’s number, then dialed it.

After the call connected, Ah Tai respectfully asked, "Mr. Ling, what can I do for you?"

"I need your help to look into something,"

Ling Feng explained, then recounted the incident with the skinny monkey-like man at the mall.

After listening, Ah Tai pondered for a moment before saying, "So that event was caused by you, Mr. Ling?"

"Hm? You’ve heard about it?" Ling Feng asked.

"Yes. That monkey-faced guy is somewhat notorious, a radical."

Ah Tai nodded and added, "He suddenly had a seizure and was sent to the hospital, but recovered before even getting there, causing a commotion that nearly made the local news!"

"Oh, so he’s some sort of small-time leader, huh? That makes it easier. Can you investigate his background for me? Are you confident?" Ling Feng asked.

"Of course, no issue!"

Ah Tai chuckled lightly and said, "People like him are just troublemakers, taking advantage of their student status to stir things up. They’re insignificant!"

"Great. I’ll be waiting for your news!"

Ling Feng said and hung up the phone.

Turning around, he saw Yu Linglong and Zheng Yitong standing on the other side, admiring the port’s night view. Looking out at the brightly lit surroundings, Ling Feng couldn’t help but acknowledge it was indeed beautiful!

Harbor Island was, after all, Asia’s financial hub. The concentration of capital here surpassed imagination, and naturally, the wealthy had turned this place into a spectacle of luxury.

"If you like, you can enjoy the view from the villa in the mid-levels. The altitude there offers an even better angle!" Ling Feng commented as he approached Yu Linglong.

"It’s alright, nothing particularly impressive." Yu Linglong said indifferently.

The yacht picked up speed as it left the harbor, soon exiting Harbor Island’s territorial waters.

Ao Island wasn’t far away; after about an hour, another brightly lit area appeared ahead.

Ling Feng was already familiar with Ao Island; it was a gambler’s paradise and a hell that devoured everything.

Here, some people had gotten rich overnight, while others lost everything they owned. The same stories played out in different lives day after day.

As the yacht neared the dock, Ling Feng turned to Zheng Yitong and said, "Miss Zheng, if you have other matters to attend to, you can head back later. We can manage on our own!"

"That won’t do!"

Zheng Yitong widened her eyes in protest, "You’re my guests. Abandoning you at the dock would be far too rude! Besides, Mr. Ling, isn’t this your first time in Ao Island? Without someone familiar with the area, you’d have a hard time!"

Ling Feng thought about it and agreed, "Alright then, but I hope this doesn’t interfere with your plans."

"Don’t worry, I’ve already made arrangements!"

Zheng Yitong waved dismissively, unconcerned.

"Alright then."

Ling Feng nodded, no longer insisting.

After all, she was Zhang He’s cousin, practically one of his own. There was no need to be overly formal.

Once the yacht docked, they disembarked and passed through customs easily, with Zheng Yitong leading Ling Feng and Yu Linglong through without any trouble.

However, after leaving and entering the awaiting car, Zheng Yitong turned to Ling Feng and asked, "Mr. Ling, have you thought about the fact that the finals you’re aiming for will be held in America? What about you and Linglong’s identities when the time comes?"

"Uh, I haven’t thought about it yet. But there’s still time; the competition here lasts three days. I’ll figure it out later!" Ling Feng replied with a smile.

"Uh, alright then."

Zheng Yitong was a bit speechless but nodded anyway.

The car drove straight to Ao Island’s largest casino, Sands.

As soon as they parked, a staff member rushed over to open the car door.

Getting out, Ling Feng asked, "Should we sort out accommodation first?"

"No need. I’ve already made the arrangements – the top-floor luxury suites!" Zheng Yitong replied.

Ling Feng was taken aback, then chuckled awkwardly, "You’ve gone all-out, haven’t you?"

"Don’t mention it! It’s just a small gesture of hospitality!" Zheng Yitong said with a smile.
