The matter was finally dealt with, and it was already late at night.
Ling Feng went back to the dormitory to check and found that Mu Lingling was already asleep. However, she was showing mild fever symptoms, and Tang Xiaoqian was giving her a warm compress.
Seeing this, Ling Feng took out a Medicinal Pill. "Sister, pry open her mouth and have her swallow this pill."
"Alright. But what’s wrong with her?" Tang Xiaoqian asked worriedly.

Tang Xiaoqian also sighed along with him. A moment later, she noticed Mu Lingling’s flushed face gradually returning to normal, and said, "Her fever’s gone down!"
"Hmm, Sister Xiaoqian, stay here with her. Call me in the morning and let me know her condition once she wakes up," Ling Feng instructed.
"Are you leaving?" Tang Xiaoqian asked, biting her lip.

"Alright, will you be back tomorrow?" Tang Xiaoqian continued to ask.
Ling Feng smiled. "Of course, I’ll be back. The distillery project is about to kick off, and someone will come to inspect the site tomorrow."
"Alright then, I’ll wait for you!"
Tang Xiaoqian spoke with a deeper gaze, watching him as she said this.
Ling Feng responded with a slight nod before stepping out of the dormitory.
By now, it was already midnight. In the mountain regions, where there was no air pollution, a head tilt was enough to reveal a sky full of stars. Ling Feng looked up at the starry sky, and his frustration was immediately alleviated.

"What was that?"

He stood there in a daze for a moment, and about a minute later, another streak of red light shot straight into the sky!
This time, Ling Feng saw clearly. The light originated from the deep mountains, at least dozens of kilometers away!
"Could it be Hu Tiesheng trying to lure me there?"
Ling Feng muttered to himself, speculating that his previous message left at the ruins of the Hu Family Village might have finally borne fruit!
His lips curled into a slight grin as he thought, "Since you’ve responded, wouldn’t it be discourteous of me not to pay a visit?"
With that, Ling Feng stepped forward and dashed in the direction of the red light!
In the still night, Ling Feng’s silhouette sped through the mountains.
The red light remained steady, erupting every minute or so and shooting into the night sky.
It was like a lighthouse, serving as a beacon of guidance in the dark. With this aid, Ling Feng quickly approached the area where the red light originated.
Reaching a vantage point on the mountain, he finally saw the valley below illuminated by countless flames—it appeared to be torches!
The number was staggering, close to a thousand. Ling Feng was momentarily stunned. Could the Xinglong Gang really be this big in scale?
Unshaken, Ling Feng pinpointed his target and swiftly made his way in that direction!
Scaling a second mountain peak, the entire valley scene unfolded before his eyes!
The first thing to capture Ling Feng’s attention was a massive, mountain-sized giant beast!
Even from his distant vantage point, the sheer size of the creature was overwhelming. Its bulk appeared to rival the combined area of two basketball courts!
Ling Feng’s eyes widened in astonishment. Upon closer inspection, he felt it bore some resemblance to the giant sea turtle he had encountered earlier in the Fourth Layer of Nine Heavens!
But after a more detailed observation, he noticed differences. Although it also had a thick shell, its features were distinctly different from the sea turtle of the Fourth Layer!
"What the hell is this thing?"
Ling Feng stood dumbfounded, face full of confusion.
Surrounding the turtle-like creature were dozens of individuals holding torches.
These people moved ahead of the giant turtle, planting torches into the ground as they went. The nearly thousand flames Ling Feng had seen earlier were not carried by people—they were planted in the earth.
"Sheesh, scared me for a second. I thought this crew really had that many people!"
Ling Feng exhaled a breath of relief. After a brief observation, he noticed they were actually herding the turtle-like creature.
The beast was crawling slowly, occasionally lifting its head to spew a jet of red light into the sky. The whole scene felt eerie; Ling Feng couldn’t make sense of what they were doing.
Moments later, Ling Feng decided to take a closer look.
Leaping down the mountain peak, he quickly closed in and locked onto a shirtless man using his Divine Sense. Activating the Mind Soul Art, Ling Feng attacked.
The man let out a scream and collapsed instantly.
The surrounding people seemed oblivious, focusing solely on following the massive creature, occasionally poking or striking it with sticks and spears to keep it moving.
Ling Feng approached the fallen man, dragging him into an unoccupied mountain hollow nearby.
Once the Mind Soul Art was lifted, the man’s headache subsided instantly. He looked at Ling Feng with a dazed expression, "Who... who are you?"
"Are you with the Xinglong Gang?" Ling Feng asked.
Even before the man could answer, Ling Feng already extracted the answer from his mind. He continued, "What are you people doing here?"
After gaining clarity, Ling Feng struck with his palm, shattering the man’s skull!
Such people were better off dead—catch one, kill one.
Now Ling Feng knew that the giant beast had appeared suddenly in the vicinity, and the Xinglong Gang had recently discovered it. They immediately sent people to capture it and take it away!
Good news for me, thought Ling Feng. If they’re taking that enormous beast back to their hideout, I just need to follow them closely. When the time comes, I’ll deal with Hu Tiesheng!
With renewed patience, Ling Feng climbed onto a nearby mountain peak and found a flat place to sit, waiting as he kept watch.
The giant beast moved at an agonizingly slow pace. Ling Feng wondered how long it would take to reach their destination. He could only sit patiently, hoping they’d arrive before dawn—otherwise, all his other plans would stall completely!
