The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 1133: Sneak Photography

Chapter 1133: Sneak Photography

Faced with the shy demeanor of the young woman, Ling Feng naturally understood her intentions. He smiled and said nothing, driving straight toward Hongqi Town.

They arrived quickly, and as the car pulled over to the side of the road, Ling Feng showed no intention of getting out. Curious, Hehua asked, "Ling Bro, are we just waiting here?"

"Yeah!"

Ling Feng nodded, then suddenly seemed to remember something. He took out a stack of cash from his bracelet and handed it to her. "It’s not dark yet, go stroll around and buy something. Oh, and get a phone!"

"Huh?"

Hehua was a little dumbfounded. Seeing so much cash all at once, she was a bit flustered.

"I need to wait here for someone, so I won’t accompany you. Go buy the phone and maybe some clothes. Don’t worry about the money—your bro’s got plenty!" Ling Feng said with a laugh.

"This... this doesn’t seem right." Hehua lowered her head, nervously fiddling with the hem of her clothes.

"What’s not right about it? Aren’t you planning to be my girlfriend? Can’t I buy you clothes? Besides, now there’s cellphone signal in the village—it’ll be convenient for you to stay in touch!" Ling Feng explained.

Hehua bit her lip, still unable to shake her sense of embarrassment.

Seeing her hesitance, Ling Feng just shoved the cash straight into her hand. "Alright, hurry up and go! If you wait much longer, the shops will close!"

"Fine, fine. But consider this money as a loan—I’ll repay you when the family gets the money!" Hehua muttered softly.

Ling Feng nodded. "Sure. Once the tea factory starts up, Uncle He will finally have a salary!"

He spoke casually, not taking it seriously, but Hehua took it to heart, nodding firmly.

After that, she got out of the car to go shopping while Ling Feng released his Divine Sense to search for the whereabouts of Li Yan and Tian Hao.

Hongqi Town wasn’t big. First, he found their car, which was parked near the inn Ling Feng had stayed at before. Soon, his Divine Sense pinpointed the two of them in a third-floor room at the inn!

To Ling Feng’s surprise, the pair was leisurely drinking in the room!

On the coffee table were piles of snack wrappers and over ten empty cans of beer. Li Yan’s face was flushed, her eyes wandering in a daze.

Tian Hao wasn’t much better—his face looked red as a monkey’s behind, and his speech sounded slurred.

Listening to their conversation for a while, Ling Feng learned they planned to stay at the inn for two days. Someone they had called wouldn’t arrive until at least tomorrow.

Based on their chatter, the people coming were supposedly "Sword Masters." Ling Feng snorted at this, thinking to himself, "Who even gives out these titles nowadays? Anyone can call themselves a master."

After observing for a while, Ling Feng concluded that the pair didn’t seem likely to leave town soon—they’d still be in Hongqi Town tomorrow.

At that moment, the car door opened, and Hehua returned.

Seeing her carrying just a phone box and no other shopping bags, Ling Feng asked, "Why did you only buy a phone? Didn’t you get any clothes?"

"My clothes are enough to wear. I don’t want new ones, maybe during New Year’s instead," Hehua replied.

Ling Feng: "..."

Her mindset seemed stuck twenty years in the past.

Clearly, she had spent all her time at home and hadn’t ventured out much, still thinking New Year was the time for buying new clothes.

Feeling a bit helpless, Ling Feng chuckled. "Alright then. Later, I’ll have Yuhe take you to shop over in our area. We’ll get you something with better quality!"

Hehua murmured an "okay" and then asked, "So, are we heading back now?"

"Yeah, let’s go back. I’ve wrapped up my business for now," Ling Feng replied with a smile.

Just as he was about to start the car, his Divine Sense picked up an unexpected scene!

Li Yan stood up woozily and staggered out of the room. Tian Hao, who had been drunkenly out of it, suddenly flashed an alert look, instantly appearing sober. He reached into his pocket, pulled out an item, and dropped it into a beer can!

"Hmm?"

Witnessing this, Ling Feng frowned!

He immediately changed his mind and drove to the inn. Turning to Hehua, he said, "I need to go upstairs and rent a room!"

"Huh?"

Hehua was startled, her face flushing so red it seemed like her heart was about to burst!

She then lowered her head and timidly mumbled, "Our house already has... has spaces, doesn’t it?"

Seeing her bashful expression, Ling Feng knew she was overthinking it. He patted her hand and said, "Silly girl, what are you imagining? There’s a pair of crooks upstairs—I need to keep an eye on them. Nothing else!"

"Oh."

Hehua’s face turned an even deeper shade of crimson, now thoroughly embarrassed.

Ling Feng thought for a moment and said, "Don’t wait in the car; come upstairs with me instead!"

"Okay."

Hehua kept her eyes down, softly responding.

The two of them got out of the car and asked the innkeeper for a room on the second floor.

Once inside, Ling Feng said to Hehua, "Stay here and tinker with your new phone. I’ll be back as soon as possible!"

"Alright."

A fleeting disappointment crossed Hehua’s face, but she nodded nonetheless.

Ling Feng turned and exited the room. Out in the corridor, he activated the Invisibility Ring and headed to the third floor.

The door to the room upstairs was ajar. Li Yan hadn’t returned yet; Tian Hao was seated, staring at the beer can, seemingly deep in thought.

Ling Feng entered silently and stood in the corner. Scanning with his Divine Sense, he discovered Li Yan in the neighboring room, changing clothes.

Uninterested in her figure, Ling Feng quickly withdrew his sense and thought to himself, "Tian Hao spiked her beer, knowing she’s coming back. Guess I’ll wait and see."

The sky outside was gradually darkening. Inside the room, the light was on. Tian Hao stood up to draw the curtains, and moments later, Li Yan returned, dressed in a pale-green two-piece pajama set.

"Ah, this feels much more comfortable. How much beer is left?" Li Yan asked.

"There’s seven or eight cans left. If it’s not enough, we’ll have the innkeeper deliver more," Tian Hao replied.

"Hmm, it’s been a long time since I’ve felt this frustrated. Since we’re free tomorrow, let’s drink more tonight!"

Li Yan’s face looked grim as she sat down and grabbed the beer can that had been tampered with.

Tian Hao stared at her intently, his expression betraying just a hint of nervousness.

Ling Feng found the scene amusing and took out his phone to capture the moment.

He wasn’t sure what he’d do with the photos—it just felt entertaining.

Seemingly, Li Yan trusted Tian Hao without reservation; she tipped the can and drank several large gulps.

Tian Hao visibly relaxed. He then picked up another can and started drinking.

The two of them chatted idly as Ling Feng continued filming from the corner. If anyone could see him now, the atmosphere would undoubtedly seem eerie!

Ten minutes later, Li Yan appeared to feel the drug’s effects. She yawned.

She struggled to her feet. "Why am I suddenly so sleepy? No more drinking—I’m heading to bed!"

"Come on, don’t stop now. There’s still so much left! Didn’t you say we’d drink all night?"

Tian Hao reached out and grabbed her wrist.

"I... I’m sleepy!"

Li Yan’s steps wobbled, and her speech became increasingly incoherent.
