The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 1132 Heading to Town

Chapter 1132 Heading to Town

"You want to brew wine?"

Wang Laogen and Chu Nan were both taken aback!

"Yeah, what do you think—any potential?" Ling Feng asked with a smile.

"It definitely has potential. This wine has a unique flavor, perfect for older folks to savor, and younger people will probably like it too. Where are you planning to set up the factory?" Chu Nan asked.

"Well, not here for sure. There’s not much usable land left in Shiliu Village, so I plan to do it somewhere else. Plus, the person who knows how to make the wine is there!" Ling Feng grinned.

Chu Nan and Wang Laogen exchanged a glance and asked simultaneously, "Do you need investment?"

This was exactly what Ling Feng was waiting for, so he nodded right away: "Of course I need it!"

"How much do you need? I’ll cover it for you, but I have one condition: when the wine is brewed, I want at least a thousand jars every year!" Chu Nan stated.

Wang Laogen immediately got anxious: "So only you get some? What about me?"

Then he turned to Ling Feng and said, "I have the same condition as he does!"

"Don’t worry. I’ll calculate how much it costs to build a winery, and you two can split it equally!" Ling Feng replied with a laugh.

The two old men nodded in unison: "No problem!"

Then Wang Laogen said, "Now, hand over the wine you have stored. If you keep it, I’m worried it won’t be stored properly, or worse, you might accidentally break a jar. That would be a waste!"

Ling Feng, of course, saw through his intentions, so he brought out several jars of wine, keeping only one for himself.

He added, "Don’t let the weathered appearance of the jars fool you—this is just a two-year-old rice wine. If it’s aged a bit longer, the flavor could improve even more!"

"Two years?"

Chu Nan’s eyes went wide with disbelief. "I thought it would have to age for at least ten years—only two years?"

"That’s right. Impressive, isn’t it? That’s why the brewer’s methods and recipe are so crucial. And don’t worry, I’ll figure out a way to accelerate the aging process once the new batch is brewed!" Ling Feng grinned.

"You better hurry! We’re ready to invest as soon as you’re ready. I’m not drinking anything else from now on!" Chu Nan declared.

Wang Laogen nodded in agreement, "Exactly, me neither!"

"Hold your horses! Now that the wine matters are settled, let’s talk about this instead!"

Ling Feng smiled and flipped his hand, bringing out some tea leaves he had picked earlier.

He had asked He Ping’an to process the tea leaves, and now they were identical to the premium tea served at home.

Seeing the tea, both Chu Nan and Wang Laogen were startled: "Where did you get tea leaves like these?"

"It’s another find from my recent trip. Want to give it a try?" Ling Feng asked with a smile.

The two old men exchanged a look, knowing that anything this kid brought back wouldn’t be mediocre. So they both nodded at once: "Quit talking and just brew it already!"

Ling Feng chuckled and began brewing tea with boiling water.

He cared nothing for fancy tea ceremonies. He simply poured hot water directly over the leaves, and soon, the tea in the cups turned a light green.

Despite the tea being scalding hot, Chu Nan impatiently blew on his teacup and took a small sip!

Immediately, his eyes brightened, and he let out a satisfied "Mmm!"

After tasting the tea, Chu Nan turned to Ling Feng and exclaimed, "These tea leaves are on par with the finest ones on the market—or even better!"

"I don’t know much about tea, but if I have to say, it’s just one word—delicious!" Wang Laogen chimed in.

Ling Feng grinned, "As long as it’s good!"

"So, what now? You’re looking for an investment for this too, aren’t you?" Chu Nan asked.

Ling Feng promptly shook his head. "Of course not. This is just my gift to you two—drink as much as you like! In a while, there will be plenty more of these tea leaves. I don’t even plan to sell them. I’ll pack them up nicely as gifts for the holidays and share them with everyone!"

"You’re right; it’s worth putting them in better packaging!"

Chu Nan glanced at the tea wrapped in a plain white plastic bag and winced with heartache.

Then he bent down, pulled out a delicate porcelain jar from a cabinet, unflinchingly dumped the tea leaves inside it out, and carefully transferred the tea leaves from Ling Feng’s plastic bag into the jar.

Seeing this, Ling Feng chuckled inwardly but kept a straight face and said seriously, "Alright, I won’t bother you two anymore. We’ll talk another time!"

"It’s not that we’re kicking you out. Go, hurry up and gather more treasures for us. Keep this up, and both of us old guys’ estates will be yours!" Chu Nan quipped.

"It’s not your estate I care about—it’s filial piety!"

Ling Feng smiled as he turned and left the study.

The matter of the winery required Mo Jiaolan’s help to find experts, but Ling Feng wasn’t in a rush to handle it just yet. Noticing it was getting late, he teleported straight back to Shankou Village and prepared to head to town to keep an eye on Li Yan and Tian Hao.

Just as he left Little Lian’s house, he ran into Hehua coming his way.

Seeing Ling Feng, Hehua’s face immediately lit up with joy. "Ling-ge, you’re here!"

"Hmm? Were you looking for me?" Ling Feng asked.

"Yes, I wanted to invite you to my house for dinner!" Hehua said.

Ling Feng smiled and asked, "What’s the occasion? Your parents aren’t home again?"

Hehua blushed. "Not at all. We slaughtered a chicken today and thought you might want to come and try it."

Ling Feng understood the family’s kind gesture but shook his head. "No need. I have something to do tonight and was just about to head to town. You all enjoy yourselves!"

"Oh, are you going to town? Is it important?" Hehua asked.

"Just a small matter—nothing to worry about. I’ll be back soon!" Ling Feng reassured her.

Hehua nodded, then hesitated. "Can I come with you, then?"

"Sure."

Ling Feng figured it wasn’t like he was going on some dangerous mission—bringing her along wouldn’t hurt.

Thrilled that he agreed, Hehua quickly said, "Let me go tell my parents. Wait for me, Ling-ge!"

"Alright!"

Ling Feng nodded as he watched her run toward the west side of the village, then made his way to Hu Dalin’s house.

Hu Ergou happened to own an old second-hand SUV. Even though his leg had healed, he’d barely left home, and the car had been sitting idle.

After explaining his purpose, Hu Dalin didn’t hesitate to hand over the car keys.

Ling Feng then drove the SUV to Hehua’s house.

When Hehua got in the car, she looked a bit puzzled, so Ling Feng asked, "What’s wrong? Surprised I came over in a car?"

"Yeah, I thought you’d go to town the same way you did the last time," Hehua murmured, bowing her head.

Ling Feng froze for a moment before realizing. He smiled and said, "This time it’s a trip to town. I’ll need to stay somewhere for a bit, so driving is more convenient."

As the car left the village, he added, "If you enjoy being carried through the mountains and forests, we can go hiking together next time!"

Hehua blushed but quickly lowered her head and replied softly, "Alright, sounds good."
