Chapter 1105 Start Work
He Ping’an also sighed and then said, "I should’ve thought of this earlier—someone as exceptional as Ling Feng, how could he not have a girlfriend?"
"Yeah, such a shame our Hehua met him too late!" Hehua’s mother sighed.
Hehua stomped her foot beside them, "Ugh, Dad, Mom! Are you pretending I’m not here? Since when did I say I wanted a boyfriend? Can’t you stop worrying about me!"
"We’re doing it for your own good. Ling Feng is so outstanding—doesn’t he outshine all the young men in these ten villages?" Hehua’s mother said.
Hehua’s face turned red with embarrassment. "And what good does that do? He already has a girlfriend. That Miss Chen is so gorgeous!"
"You’re not worse than her. I don’t even think Miss Chen is Ling Feng’s girlfriend. They might just be regular friends. Hehua, spend more time with Ling Feng over the next few days—there’s still a chance!" Hehua’s mother said.
Hehua rolled her eyes upon hearing this. "What do you mean ’spend more time with him’? Can I just decide to hang out with him? He’s very busy, okay!"
She turned around and went back to her room, shutting the door behind her.
He Ping’an and his wife exchanged glances and sighed at the same time.
At this moment, Chen Yuhe and Ling Feng had already arrived at Little Lian’s house.
Just as they were about to Teleport to Nine Heavens, Chen Yuhe grabbed Ling Feng’s arm. "What’s the rush?"
"Huh? Aren’t we heading back? What are we staying here for?" Ling Feng asked.
"What, you’re in a hurry to rush back and check on that woman staying here?" Chen Yuhe gave him a sideways glance.
Ling Feng shook his head, "Of course not! It’s just that there’s really not much to do in the village—I was afraid you’d get bored."
"How could I ever be bored with you around?"
Chen Yuhe chuckled mischievously and suddenly pushed him onto the bed!
Ling Feng froze for a moment and then laughed. "Whoa, what kind of new trick are you up to now?"
"Exactly! Look at this outfit I’m wearing—does it stir up any feelings?" Chen Yuhe’s eyes turned seductive as she teased him in a soft voice.
"Not just feelings—I don’t think I’ve ever seen you like this before!"
Ling Feng chuckled foolishly as he watched Chen Yuhe climb onto the bed and sit atop his stomach!
"Well then, we won’t be going back tonight—let’s sleep here instead!" Chen Yuhe said.
"No problem at all!"
Ling Feng was already so captivated by her beguiling gaze that he couldn’t hold back any longer. Without saying a word, he reached up and hugged Chen Yuhe tightly!
...
...
The next morning, the sound of birds chirping in the forest outside the village woke the two from their deep sleep.
Chen Yuhe and Ling Feng shared a smile, feeling like they’d regained the warmth of the time they spent together before.
But soon after, she got up. "Go wash up quickly and head out—the excavator is supposed to arrive today. Don’t make them wait!"
As she entered the bathroom, Ling Feng muttered to himself, "You’ve really changed a lot—you weren’t like this before."
"People change—it just means I’ve grown up!" Chen Yuhe laughed from inside the bathroom.
After freshening up, they stepped outside. Sure enough, the excavator and bulldozer hired from Hongqi Town had arrived.
A group of villagers joined them as they headed toward the back mountain.
What they saw was a stretch of a hundred acres of wild hillside. Although the slope wasn’t steep, it was covered with stones and thorny bushes, rendering it unsuitable for farming and leaving it deserted.
Once they arrived, Chen Yuhe took on the role of project manager and started directing the machines to begin work.
Even with the excavator and bulldozer, the land’s size posed a challenge—it would take several days to get it fully prepared.
Fortunately, Ling Feng wasn’t in a rush and instructed the drivers to be meticulous, ensuring the ground was leveled properly.
Regarding the area designated for planting tea trees, he and Chen Yuhe went to inspect it and concluded that rather than leveling everything, they only needed to clear out the weeds and plant the tea trees among the rocks.
Chen Yuhe had never tasted the type of tea Ling Feng described. Hearing him talk about it like it was magical, she grew intrigued and said enthusiastically, "Listening to you makes me impatient to try it! Can we ask Hehua for some?"
"Sure!"
Ling Feng, ever eager to fulfill her requests, scanned the crowd of villagers and spotted Hehua’s figure. He waved to her.
At first, Hehua didn’t realize he was calling her. Once the others pointed it out, she quickly ran over and asked, "Mr. Ling, were you calling me?"
"Miss Chen wants to try the tea from your house. Could you help us brew a little? Don’t make too much—we don’t want to waste it," Ling Feng said.
"Oh, alright, I’ll go brew some now!"
Hehua nodded and hurried off.
Chen Yuhe watched her retreating figure and then looked up at Ling Feng. "How old is she?"
Ling Feng immediately understood her intent and chuckled, "Don’t start with that—I really don’t have any such thoughts!"
"I didn’t say you did. Why are you so anxious?"
Chen Yuhe shot him a glare and followed with, "What about Little Lian? What’s she like—prettier than Hehua?"
"Uh..."
Ling Feng was at a loss for words and smiled wryly. "If you’re that curious, I’ll take you to meet her in the afternoon!"
"Haha, alright then!" Chen Yuhe nodded.
She quickly changed the subject. "This place can probably hold one or two hundred tea trees. Relying on tea leaf sales to earn money wouldn’t be very realistic, would it?"
"I never planned to sell the tea leaves!"
Ling Feng responded and then elaborated, "The tea I grow will have special packaging and will only be given to people connected with our company. No one else will be able to buy it!"
"Oh, that’s an interesting idea!"
Chen Yuhe nodded in agreement and added, "That approach could work. If our tea proves to be as good as you say, it’ll become something people scramble to get their hands on!"
"That’s exactly the goal. No matter how wealthy or high-status someone is—if they want our tea, they can’t get it!" Ling Feng said with a grin.
While they chatted, Hehua returned holding a thermos.
As soon as Ling Feng saw she’d brought so much, he shook his head in disbelief.
"You could’ve just brewed a single cup to bring over—why the whole thermos?" Ling Feng asked.
Hehua smiled, "It’s our family’s tea water—drink as much as you like!"
"Thanks a lot for this!"
Ling Feng smiled, poured a cup, and handed it to Chen Yuhe. "Go ahead, give it a taste!"
Taking a sip, Chen Yuhe’s eyes widened in surprise. "Oh my gosh, it’s better than those tea leaves that sell for three thousand yuan a pack!"
"See? I knew you’d love the flavor!" Ling Feng said smugly.
Chen Yuhe nodded and added, "Now I believe you’re not just staying here to flirt with girls!"
Ling Feng: "..."
Turning to look at Hehua, he noticed her face was already red with embarrassment. Ling Feng quickly said, "Don’t listen to her nonsense!"
"Alright, I’ll head back now."
After saying this, Hehua turned and walked away.
She had just taken a few steps when regret struck her—hadn’t her mother said to spend more time with Ling Feng? Why had she forgotten?
But now that she’d already walked away, returning might seem awkward. Lowering her head, she left, feeling frustrated with herself.
