The Greatest Village Doctor In The World

Chapter 1102: A Virtuous Partner

Chapter 1102: A Virtuous Partner

Yang Guang’s words had no reason to be doubted, so Ling Feng was certain—after reconciling with Little Lian that afternoon, she had already conceived his child.

To confirm this, at least a month would be needed, but given Yang Guang’s abilities, it was unlikely for him to be mistaken.

Startled for a moment, and seeing everyone’s ambiguous gazes directed at him, Ling Feng could only smile helplessly and say, "I’ll explain this to you all later. Right now, please help me take care of Sister Lian—I need to go find Wan’er; it’s something very important!"

"Uncle, you can go ahead. I’ll take care of Sister Lian!" Li Fei’er promptly said.

"Alright!"

Ling Feng nodded and turned to Little Lian. "Sister Lian, chat with everyone for a bit. If you get tired, there’s a wooden cabin over there where you can rest. I’ll bring you back tomorrow morning!"

"Oh, okay, alright."

Little Lian had already accepted that she was indeed inside a paradise-like realm. Though it was still hard to believe, she had no choice but to face the reality.

Ling Feng quickly arrived at the Second Layer Heaven, pulled out the tea tree branch stored inside his ring, and handed it to Wang Wan’er. "I’d like to cultivate this further. Can you help me with it?"

"No problem. This is a tea tree, right?"

Wang Wan’er asked briefly, then exclaimed in delight, "Good heavens! It’s actually premium tea leaves!"

"You can tell?" Ling Feng asked.

"Yeah. I can discern the properties of plants. This type of tea leaf is incredibly rare—currently, there’s nothing like it on the market!" Wang Wan’er explained.

"Perfect. Could you assess if it can be cultivated outside of the Nine Heavens? I’m planning to start a farming project in a village!" Ling Feng inquired.

Wang Wan’er was momentarily taken aback and then remarked, "Cultivation isn’t difficult. However, for top-tier tea leaves to grow, they need abundant spiritual energy. Can that place sustain it?"

"No worries. I can set up a Spirit Gathering Array!" Ling Feng replied.

"Oh?"

Hearing that, Wang Wan’er gave him a side glance. "Which village is so fortunate to earn your special attention?"

"Uh, it’s the place where I’m carrying out a mission. The locals there are simple and honest—it made me want to help them live better lives!" Ling Feng explained.

"Oh."

Wang Wan’er didn’t probe further and nodded as she replied, "I can help cultivate twenty saplings tonight. You can take them back to plant, but nurturing them further will depend on your Spirit Gathering Array!"

"Got it. Leave the rest to me!"

Ling Feng nodded. Twenty saplings weren’t much, but tomorrow there’d be more, and by the day after, it would be even greater. Twenty today, four hundred by tomorrow!

While Wang Wan’er began cultivating the tea trees, Ling Feng didn’t leave the Second Layer Heaven—instead, he went directly to visit Yu Linglong.

Though it was late at night, the stone house’s door automatically opened when he approached.

Ling Feng stepped inside and saw Yu Linglong staring at him. He cheerfully asked, "Still awake?"

"No, but I was guessing you might show up around this time, so I waited." Yu Linglong said blandly.

Ling Feng paused, thought about her remark, and then excitedly asked, "Does that mean the inconvenient time is over?"

"Mm."

Yu Linglong’s face flushed lightly, with a shy yet joyful expression as she nodded slightly.

Ling Feng was overwhelmed with joy, but he didn’t immediately pounce on her. Instead, he sat beside her and reached out to wrap his arm around her shoulder. "I didn’t come for that today!"

"Oh? Then what is it?" Yu Linglong asked curiously after a momentary pause.

Seeing her expression, Ling Feng chuckled bitterly. "Do you think the only thing I care about is that kind of affair? Is there no other reason for me to come to you?"

"Well, it’s more or less like that, though not as indecent as you might think. You’re a man—I totally understand!" Yu Linglong replied softly.

Her gentle words warmed Ling Feng’s heart, yet he restrained his desires and smiled wryly. "I ran into some problems while on a mission in a village, so I came to discuss them with you!"

"Is that so?"

Yu Linglong understood and then smiled. "Go ahead. If I can help analyze the situation, I will!"

"Alright!"

Ling Feng nodded and continued, "Originally, I was there to investigate someone’s whereabouts, but upon arriving at that mountain village, I discovered it has some surprising treasures—things like tea leaves and ham. Oh, here, try this!"

As he spoke, Ling Feng took out a few slices of cured ham from his ring and handed them to Yu Linglong. "This is pork leg meat that’s been cured for three years. Take a bite!"

Yu Linglong was briefly stunned before smiling. "You should approach Mo Jiaolan for matters of business—why come to me?"

"Well, I’m already here at the Second Layer Heaven. Just try it—how’s the taste?" Ling Feng grinned.

Yu Linglong didn’t stand on ceremony. She picked up a slice of ham, placed it in her mouth, and chewed. Her face immediately lit up with surprise. "So fragrant!"

"Right? It’s my first time tasting it too—the flavor is absolutely amazing! But there’s a problem; the curing process takes too long!" Ling Feng explained.

Yu Linglong looked at him. "The curing process really does take quite a while. You’re hoping to see profits immediately, aren’t you?"

"Exactly! That way, the villagers can start earning money sooner!" Ling Feng replied.

"That shouldn’t be too difficult, but you’ll need to consider raw material supply, processing workshops, curing facilities—all of those are key issues!" Yu Linglong pointed out.

Ling Feng was briefly taken aback, then laughed. "Looks like you’re quite the business talent yourself—straight to the crux of the matter!"

"What do you expect? I’m a princess, after all. Analyzing problems is second nature to me!"

Yu Linglong pouted slightly, displaying a hint of girlish pride before continuing, "Time can be manipulated with formations to speed up the curing process. But if you want mass production, you’ll need a reliable source of raw materials first. Solve that issue before anything else!"

"Understood!"

Ling Feng nodded. Taking advantage of his close proximity to her, he leaned in and kissed her cheek. "I knew I found the right person—you truly are my capable partner!"

"You already have plenty of capable partners. I’m not the only one!"

Yu Linglong glared at him and said lightly.

It was only with Ling Feng that she started to exhibit the demeanor of an ordinary girl. Her previous self had always been too solemn, too rigid.

Seeing her like this, Ling Feng couldn’t bear to rush their union and pondered briefly before saying, "Then I’ll go handle this matter first and return to you afterward."

Yu Linglong didn’t show much reaction. She simply nodded and said, "Alright, I’ll be waiting for you!"

Looking at her like that, Ling Feng smiled wryly and said, "Can’t you come to me instead? Why must I always take the initiative?"

"Where I come from, women being too forward is seen as frivolous—it makes the man look down on them!" Yu Linglong explained.
