Chapter 150: Tiger Got the Apple!

Chapter 150: Tiger Got the Apple!

Su Ruan stared intently at the apple beneath the tiger’s paw, her gaze burning. The tiger, noticing her fixation on the apple, let out a low growl.

The successive growls drew the attention of Qian Duoduo and Zhao Yujie, who were not far away.

The two exchanged a glance, abandoning Zhang Laoer who was tied up tightly, and quickly rushed towards Su Ruan.

The presence of the duo did not cause the tiger to back down; its paw clutched the apple firmly, and with a twitch of its whiskers, it exuded a majestic aura.

Qian Duoduo quickly scanned the tiger, hurried to stand half in front of Su Ruan, and without turning his head, he directly asked:

"Junior, are you okay?"

Su Ruan shook her head, "I’m fine, but my apple..."

She pointed to the apple under the tiger’s paw and frowned slightly, "I need to get that apple."

Qian Duoduo glanced at the apple and quickly responded, "What’s with that apple? There are apples all over the tree."

Of course, Su Ruan could not disclose that the apple was one she had purified; she pressed her lips lightly, unable to think of an explanation for the apple.

Fortunately, Qian Duoduo did not press further. He flexed his wrist, saying, "Don’t worry, Junior, I will definitely get that apple back!"

Regardless if he could accomplish it or not, he had to assert himself! He couldn’t let his junior look down on him!

The tiger seemed to understand their conversation, lifting its paw and raising the apple high; it opened its massive jaws and leapt to fiercely bite into the apple.

Qian Duoduo rolled up his sleeves, "Hey! You dare to provoke your Grandpa Qian!"

With that, he stepped forward intending to confront the tiger.

But the tiger was incredibly quick, clutching the apple in its mouth, casting a deep glance at Su Ruan, then vanished into the forest with a few leaps.

"Damn!" Qian Duoduo exclaimed in shock, "That tiger runs so fast?"

By his side, Zhao Yujie silently handed over a branch, "Senior Brother Qian, should we chase it?"

Knowing he couldn’t match the tiger, Qian Duoduo coughed lightly, "Well, no, no chase, haha."

"Junior, I’ll pick an apple for you." He said, then dashed off towards the apple tree to pick an apple.

Su Ruan stood there, slightly bewildered.

The tiger’s final glance before leaving was filled with pain and pleading, faintly carrying a hint of hope.

It was just a tiger, so why did it exhibit such human-like expressions?

Su Ruan pondered this, glancing at Zhao Yujie standing nearby, she decided not to voice her doubts.

"Was that person just searched?" she asked.

Zhao Yujie nodded, "Yes, he had ten military tokens and a weapon pack on him."

"Inside, there was a laser gun and a lightweight mecha."

Zhao Yujie paused, then asked, "Junior, what is your spiritual power level?"

"Can you pilot a mecha?"

Su Ruan’s long lashes fluttered, the last time her spiritual power was tested, it was B, but when she enrolled, her student records showed her spiritual power as E.

She was considered a "waste," as was commonly believed.

Su Ruan discreetly glanced at her surroundings, and whispered, "E."

Zhao Yujie looked troubled, "With spiritual power at E, you can’t pilot a mecha."

"It seems that obtaining the lightweight mecha is of no use now."

Su Ruan nodded slightly, "May I look at the weapon pack?"

Zhao Yujie handed the weapon pack to Su Ruan, "I’ll go search Zhang Laoer again, Junior, see if there’s anything in the weapon pack you can use."

A hint of guilt flickered across his somewhat gloomy face, "If we count, you’re the only one among us three who has combat power."

Su Ruan chuckled softly, "No worries, in terms of mecha design, I’m no match for Senior Zhao."

Zhao Yujie was momentarily stunned, then nodded to Su Ruan before turning to Zhang Laoer who was tightly bound.

Meanwhile, Su Ruan was examining the weapon pack, and upon discovering the Space Button containing the lightweight mecha, she took it out and kept it with her.

Just in case, it was better for her to hold onto the lightweight mecha.

Su Ruan’s mind was still on that strange tiger. After greeting Duoduo and the others, she ventured deeper into the forest.

If she guessed correctly, that tiger might be the owner of the cave from before.

Possibly aware of their intrusion, it had tracked them.

But the tiger could have attacked them while they slept at night, so why choose this moment to strike?

Su Ruan inexplicably thought of that apple.

Was it because of that apple? The one she had cleared of the black mist?

Pressing her lips tightly, Su Ruan moved quickly, knowing the camera wasn’t following her.

She carried a bow and arrow on her back, the silver bow and arrow gleamed with a silvery light under the sun, looking extremely captivating.

Su Ruan trekked through the forest, finally locating the tiger outside a damp cave.

It seemed to have fainted, lying at the cave entrance, its belly gently rising and falling, eyes closed, with whiskers occasionally quivering slightly.

Su Ruan lightened her steps, gripping the bow and arrow firmly, her muscles tensed, and slowly approached.

All was silent around, so quiet she could hear her own steps on the dry leaves clearly.

The noise was jarring in the silent forest, naturally catching the attention of the tiger lying on the ground.

It slightly opened its eyes, faintly seeing a figure.

But it couldn’t move at all, its body stiff, only the rise and fall of its belly reminding it and this stranger that it was still alive.

Seeing the tiger open its eyes, Su Ruan instinctively halted, swiftly nocking the bow and arrow, ready in an instant to mercilessly plunge the sharp, gleaming arrow into the tiger’s eye.

But Su Ruan didn’t shoot.

She watched the tiger slowly close its eyes again, and cautiously lowered her bow and arrow, saying, "You can understand us, can’t you?"

The tiger didn’t open its eyes, its breath weak, before it lay an apple core already turning yellow.

It was evident the tiger had eaten that apple.

From two meters away, Su Ruan crouched slowly, one hand pressed to the ground, and asked again, "Why did you want that apple?"

Did it sense something?

"Roar." The tiger let out a small growl.

After consuming that unusually sweet apple, it felt its body start to heat up.

It realized something was wrong and wanted to find a cave to hide.

But before it could enter the cave, its entire body became limp, slumping at the cave entrance until Su Ruan appeared.

The burning sensation seemed to decrease slowly, while at the same time, fragments flickered in its mind.

They were its memories from before, recollections from its time as a human.
