Chapter 139 - I will die for that!
Xavier nods slowly and states "Don't tire yourself, My Lady. There is no hurry. You have all the time to learn".
He couldn't help but look towards her legs in worry. 'If she is practicing with that injury, then how could she not be desperate to learn?!'
Maya looks at him surprised 'How did he find my desperation to learn things?!".
Xavier smiles getting the bow from her hand "It's still early. You should take care of your mind too. If you keep on forcing yourself, then you would be mentally exhausted".
Maya nods obediently hearing his advice 'So that's why I felt my head throbbing lately..' and follows him while he walks towards Celina. She didn't have any teacher for a really long time and she couldn't help respect him. She is even more eager to spend time with him too. Even though her heart trembles every now and then.
'He is a patient yet an incredible teacher! He even told that I would surpass him! Was he telling the truth?! Is he happy for me genuinely?!'.
Xavier hands Maya's practicing bow to Celina and orders "You can leave".
Celina bows obediently "Yes, Your Highness!" and leaves with the bow.
Xavier smiles back at Maya "You shouldn't bother your servants, My Lady".
This statement brought back Maya from her fantasy world of happiness.
Maya only then realizes how desperate she was to practice and indeed dragged Celina unintentionally! She didn't even realize that until Xavier mentioned!
She feels sad for Celina and looks at Xavier guiltily "This won't happen in future".
Xavier chuckles seeing her worried and suggests excited "How about doing something else?".
'Now I have to create a situation so that you would tell me about your injury yourself!'
Never take the Royals easily! They are full of tricks under their sleeves!
Maya looks at his face questioningly.
Xavier walks towards a tree and grabs the ropes from the ground. He smirks looking back at Maya "Teach me!".
Maya blinks dumbfounded realizing his real trick "..." Did he just trick me?! He made my Archery practice to stop and here he is learning from me! How absurd I was!
Xavier shrugs guessing her thoughts "Diverting sometime will decrease your exhaustion, My Lady. Don't accuse me for helping you... and myself in the process".
Maya looks at him darkly and smirks devilishly "Tie this rope on the highest branch then... Your Highness?".
She crosses her arms and tilts her head smugly.
'Now he will just run towards the tree without even thinking! Exactly what I wanted! After all, I didn't even give him any chance to think!'
Xavier is take aback by her sudden order "..." Did she...just order me?! Is she already ready to teach me? Don't I even need to insist her this time?!
Maya's smirk broadens and mocks raising her eyebrow "Do you want me to do that for you instead?".
Xavier clears throat getting out from his shock and walks towards the trunk of a tree 'My heart would never make you climb the tree, My Lady..'. He throws the rope over his shoulder and starts climbing the tree.
When he climbs towards the branch, Maya chuckles calmly yet loud enough to reach his ears in the silent place "I didn't tell you to climb the tree".
Xavier stops climbing and turns back blankly "..." Then how would I tie the rope?! Is she teasing me?!
Maya smiles waving her hand "Come back here, Your Highness. You still have a tiring day with this technique. I don't want to exhaust you already!".
Xavier climbs down from the tree and walks towards her with a confused frown on his face.
He doesn't want to climb down at first as he thought that she was just playing with him. But her genuine smile convinced him to think otherwise.
'You better teach me something good-'.
Before he could finish his thoughts, he freezes seeing Maya standing in front of him closely.
She forwards her hand towards him to remove the rope from his shoulder.
Seeing her struggles to reach his height, he bends forward instead of removing the ropes from his shoulder for her.
He darts his eyes over her face at this chance of closeness, not intending to miss any expressions of her. He can sense his heart is already jumping in this delightful bliss.
Maya lets out a relaxed breath after stepping away from Xavier. She almost held her breaths previously.
Her smirk reappears and declares looking at him "You don't have to do a thing when you have a rope in your hands, Your Highness!".
Xavier stares at her in a trance. He likes it when she is so proud of herself.
Maya starts segregating the rope and looks at the highest branch alternatively. Seems she is calculating something in her mind keenly!
Maya starts spinning one end of the rope swiftly after analysing the height of the branch.
Xavier tilts his head even more confused 'Is she going to throw it after spinning it directly?! Even if she does, how can she even tie it?! Even I can through the rope upto that branch. But how can we tie it from the ground?!'.
Maya throws the rope aiming the highest branch and Xavier was looking at her boringly until Maya starts running further with the other end of the rope in her hands.
When the one end of the rope reaches the branch and starts circling itself on it , Maya starts spinning the other end in her hands from the ground so that the rolling end of the rope gets entangled each other. And it results in tying itself without any great efforts.
Xavier opens his eyes wide witnessing it "..."
Maya pulls the end in her hand hard to secure the knot and lets out a cheerful laugh in joy.
Xavier who was watching everything in awe finally averts his eyes from the tied rope on the branch to Maya.
'I will die for that... Just where did this Lady come from?!'.
