Maya tilts her head at the thought and grabs her thin layer of gown which she was wearing. She starts to walk sneakily. She reaches the huge window of the chamber and smirks
'I don't have to open the doors to check'.
She opens the window slowly and peaks out. She gets frustrated seeing no one standing outside her chamber door and stands there stubbornly
'I will find whoever the person is today!'.
After an hour of wait, Maya felt sleepy yet she didn't give up at her efforts of finding the person.
LIGHT FOOTSTEPS!
Maya's eyes shot open hearing the footsteps and smirks 'There you are!'.
She places her ear close to the window and observes the sounds clearly.
Suddenly, she felt the window is being opened from outside by someone and sits down on the floor immediately to escape from getting 'caught'!.
Seeing the window being opened and closed after few moments Maya stands cautiously.
KNOCK!
'HA! They were watching me through this window the whole time?! And I took so long to find this simple thing?! Heavens! My capabilities are so disappointing!'.
Maya sneers mentally and jumps out of the chamber through the window suddenly giving no time to the person who were trying to play with her "I found you!".
SCREAMS!

Maya "..."
Maya is welcomed by the loud ear piercing screams from two spoiled children infront of her!
One was a boy already stood frozen at her chamber's doorstep and the other was a girl who was fallen on the floor beside her. As the unexpected entry of Maya might have bewildered them.
Celina who was deep asleep before, too stood shocked seeing everything happening and gasps seeing the boy near her as she was the one closest to him and the door "Jesus Christ!! I-Is this Prince Anthony?! And that is Princess Scarlett?!".
'Why are they here?! And Why in the heavens are they screaming?!'.
Before Maya and Celina could get out from their shock, both the children runs away from the place into the darkness of the garden.
Celina runs after them immediately in panic "No-no no! It's dangerous there in the dark, Your Highnesses! You shouldn't go there!".
The soldiers guarding Maya's chamber too accompanies Celina as they have to save their Prince and Princess from getting into danger!.
Maya holds her hand over her chest to pacify her scared heart.
'These brats scared me with their loud screams! I never thought they were behind those Mysterious Knocks! This is why I find children troublesome! See? There are too-'.
"What are you doing here?!".
"Ah!"
Maya jumps with a scream hearing a deep voice behind her.
She cries frustrated in next moment realizing who it was "Heavens! You scared me!".
She doesn't have any need to turn and see who it is!
Xavier smiles playfully seeing her bewildered face "What are you doing here at this time?".
Maya asks him mockingly "Care to know whereabouts of your siblings instead?".
Xavier rolls his eyes 'This is not new to me at all!' and sighs "They never let anyone sleep".
He states so casually as if this has become his ritual now. Even after his tiring travel from the Southern Country, he is after his siblings? At this time?
He rubs his eyes tired and asks looking around blankly "Did someone go after them?".
Maya nods "Celina and the two guards".
He asks with his brightened eyes instantly "Why can't we wait for them to arrive then?".
Maya asks suspiciously "Don't you worry about them? They might-".
Xavier speaks boringly while walking towards the wooden bench where Celina would be sleeping "They would be safe".
Maya scoffs "Too confident, aren't you? *clears throat* S-Sir?".
Subconsciously, Maya replied him intimately but corrects herself immediately before he senses it. If he realised, things might become uncomfortable between them. Or at least, for her heart. It's not ready yet for that intimacy between them!
She walks towards him slowly. She sits beside him and asks "Why aren't they asleep yet?".
Xavier smiles "They love to trouble others! We tried everything to change them but these two don't hear any of us!".
Maya notices his adoring smile on his face 'Does he adore his siblings?' and looks away to prevent herself from embarrassment.
'What will he think if he sees me staring him?!'
Xavier asks "What did they do to you, My Lady? What are you still awake at this time? It's really late".
Maya shakes her head boringly "I have been hearing the knocks on the door since evening and when I caught them. They just screamed their life out before running away!".
Xavier chuckles "You are one of a kind, My Lady. I can bet! You must have put some efforts to catch them?".
His words hinted that he had already guessed what she might have done to catch them!
Alas! How could he not know what his siblings are capable of! He has been gone through all of their mischievous deeds for years!
Maya twitches her lips embarrassed while recalling her serious efforts to catch them red handed!
'I never thought I was after these two kids!'
She blurts irked "Stop embarrassing me, Sir!".
Xavier gets silent immediately as if he didn't heard her words.
Maya feels this awkward silence for a minute and tries to end it. She looks at him. Even at the cost her weak heart.
Seeing his deep eyes staring something below her face she freezes instantly.
'W-What is he looking at-'.
She subconsciously checks the outer robes around her neck while trying it to pull closer.
Her hand too freezes while the platinum chain came in contact with it. She gulps anxiously. Her previous jump out of the window had made the hidden chain to expose itself from her robes!
'Can this go any worse than this?! After telling him that I don't believe in any rituals of religion, now I am here! Wearing the same chain that he has given me! What would he think about me?!'.
Maya stutters trying desperately to save her face "Y-You told me... that...I-It's precious..S-So..I-I thought to keep it safe?".
Xavier smiles seeing her nervous stutters and asks raising his eyebrow triumphantly "By wearing it?".
