When Lu Jingchen came out, he did not see Song Qiao’s figure by his car. Standing by the car, his face immediately darkened with gloom.

Opening the car door and sitting in the driver’s seat, he was ready to drive away without caring whether Song Qiao had gone somewhere else or had already left. Just as he started the car, a glance caught sight of a woman coming out of a nearby cake shop.

Song Qiao held a bag in one hand and two bags in the other, her gaze shifting before finally landing on his car, then walking over in her high heels.

Lu Jingchen watched the approaching figure with an indifferent expression, a faint smile on his face, but his eyes brimming with mockery. He watched her walk step by step closer, then open the passenger door and sit inside.

Song Qiao placed her bag aside, perhaps sensing the man’s mood was very displeased.

After hesitating for a while, she handed over the two bags to him and said softly, "This is a sandwich and coffee I bought for you. You didn’t eat much earlier, and you have a long afternoon at work. It’s easy to get hungry."

Struggling to stabilize herself, Song Qiao glared at the man in the driver’s seat, eyes full of dissatisfaction. Fortunately, the coffee cup’s lid was still on tight, preventing any spill; unfortunately, the sandwich dropped to the floor.

Looking at the sandwich on the floor, Song Qiao’s mood soured. She placed the coffee in the side well, picked up the sandwich in the bag it had come in, set it aside, then buckled up and remained silent.
