Now, it’s not just a week without seeing Summer; even one day feels unbearable for him.

"Oh..." Summer dragged out her words.

Damian Knight glanced at Summer’s expression with curiosity and asked, "Did you miss me during the time I didn’t contact you?"

"No!" Summer replied firmly, "I was too busy; how would I have time to think about you?"

"Alright then." Damian pretended to be hurt, but he had already noticed the blush on Summer’s cheeks.

Soon, they arrived at Redleaf Manor.

When Damian and Summer arrived, Cece and Bella were already waiting for them.

Earlier, Summer had gotten the residue from the medicine Stella Monroe drank, but she couldn’t identify the herbs in it, so she asked Damian to have someone investigate it.

Cece respectfully replied, "Boss, the medicine you asked us to check is indeed from Myanmar."

Summer quickly asked, "What effect does this medicine have?"

Bella spoke as she took out a bag of dark herbs from her pocket.

Summer sniffed them; she recognized a few of the herbs but didn’t know what some of them were.

"What is this?" she asked.

Bella replied, "It’s something that can expose lies."

Cece added, "If she takes this, the Gaia won’t work anymore, and there will be backlash — she’ll never be able to conceive again."

Summer reached out to take it, planning to give it to Leah Lowell to mix into Stella’s "fetus-preserving medicine."

"Do you need help?" Damian asked.

Summer shook her head, "No need. Since Stella is faking a pregnancy, once the medicine fails, she’ll definitely find a way to fake a miscarriage... I think the first person she’ll think of to help her miscarry is me. Then, she can use Henry Stanton to get rid of me."

Damian nodded and then turned to Cece and Bella, "You two have had a tiring trip to Myanmar, go home and rest well."

"Yes." Bella and Cece, quick to read the situation, swiftly left.

Damian turned back to look at Summer, saying, "It’s getting late — why not stay at my place tonight?"

Summer suddenly felt like a lamb stepping into a lion’s den, and she was the lamb.

She blushed instantly, stammering, "Da-Damian Knight, I’m not ready for that yet..."

"Pfft." Damian chuckled, tapping Summer on the forehead with his fingertip, "What are you thinking? Do I seem like someone in a hurry? I’ll wait until you’re ready. So... stay at my place tonight? I have plenty of rooms, and I won’t sleep in the same one as you, alright?"
