Birth Of A Son

" Nalya, are you alright?" Kaley's concerned voice came. The driver came to my side, looking worried.

" I'll drive to the hospital," he said, hurrying to get me in the car.

" I'll come too," Kaley said, and I nodded. She held my hand as we went to the hospital. The pain was getting intense now, and my water broke in the car. How could a baby boy come a month early? I took down the mental block I held up and mind-linked Rhaegar.

' Rhaegar, my water broke,' I told him.

' I'm on my way to the hospital,' he said, panicked. Did he know? The driver must have told him about the situation.

We reached the hospital, and Rhaegar was the one to open the door for me. I almost smiled, but I was in pain. A group of doctors were standing at the entrance. I stared back at my mate, shocked.

" I'm just giving birth to one child, Rhaegar, not ten!" I said. Why was he worried? He kissed my hand as he put me on a stretcher.

" You have to be strong, okay?" he said in a shaky voice. I wanted badly to soothe him.

" Also, don't forget what we learned in that class. You're fine, just breathe and-" Rhaegar was ranting now. I caressed his chin and smiled.

" I'm strong. I'll be alright," I said.

" I know,"

We reached the door, and the doctor asked, " Do you want to be present for the birth, My Prince?"

“ Can I?” he asked, the doctor only smiled and nodded.

“ Thank you,” he held my hand.

I was on the bed, my legs spread wide. The doctor took some measurements and nodded.

“ We are close, brace yourself, Luna,” he said. Two more medics were assisting him, the ladies were gentle and kind.

“ Let’s start,”

I squeezed my mate’s hand, and he tried to smile at me.

Five hours later, the cry of the baby was heard in the room, and I smiled as the doctor brought me my son. I looked at the baby in my arms and kissed him. He was so precious and tiny. I stared up at my mate with a smile. Rhaegar was disheveled, and he looked tired. He didn’t leave my side.

“ Khai Silvius,” he breathed, getting and kissing his son. The midwife took him away, and I stayed with my mate.

“ You look tired, go and rest,” I said.

“ Me? You’re the one who pushed out a whole human pup from your uterus,” he kissed me.

“ Yeah, I did. Nine pounds,” I laughed.

“ You’re a superhero, and I respect you so much, baby,” he said. We shared a deep kiss. I hadn’t realized how tired I was until now.

“ Sleep well, you did great,” He kissed my forehead, and I closed my eyes, immediately, sleep took me over.

Rhaegar.

I was a father. I had a son, a strong, healthy child. Nalya gave me a son, and the moment I laid eyes on him, I knew my life had changed forever.

Nalya was tired, and sleeping. I asked the doctor to take her to a suite where she’d be more comfortable. I went outside only to meet our close friends and family, they were excited and cheering. Nadia was there too. My eyes landed on her sister Kaley, and I almost growled at her. However, I remembered she was the one who brought her, and stayed the whole time.

“Congratulations on the birth of your son,” Nate hollered, pulling me for a bro hug.

“ Can we see her?” Kiyana asked. “ And the baby,”

“ The doctor said she needs to rest, and they are running tests on the baby,” I informed her. She frowned.

“ I wish I was on duty when her labor started,” Ella said.

There was a lot of chatter in the hallway that a nurse had to ask us to keep it down. I went back home, not before telling Kiyana to host our guest, Kaley.

I took a long shower when I reached the packhouse. I sat on the bed, trying not to close my eyes for a second as my brain was urging me. I needed to go and be with my mate, and son.

I must have fallen asleep because it was morning when I woke up. I brushed my teeth and took another cold shower before rushing out, bumping into pack members who were celebrating and congratulating me.

I said a quick thank you and rushed out. I couldn’t believe I slept in. I was about to enter my car when I heard Thorn’s fucking voice. I groaned and turned around, he looked proper in a suit, unlike me who was a mess.

“ Congratulations on the alpha heir, should I now call you My King?” he said. That was another discussion, now that I had a child, I was King, but I wasn't too eager to get the title yet.

“ I don’t have time for you. What are you doing in my pack?” I growled at him. He raised his hand, indicating he had no ill will against me.

“ I’m being sincere, congratulations,”

“ Thanks,”

I turned to get into the car. I wanted to be there when Nalya woke up.

“ Arlon William,” he hollered, and I turned towards him. That fucking name made my blood boil.

“ What did you say?”

“ The fucker hurt my mate, and yours,” he said, “ Look at us, we finally have something to bond over... Our hate for the rogue,”

I smirked, indeed.

“ Do you know where he is?” he asked.

“ He’d be dead if I knew his whereabouts, and his head hanging off one of my border poles,” I spat,

“ I am particularly interested in one of his men, Marley or shit like that,” he said. I extended my hand towards him, and he smiled.

“ Then we’ll be keeping each other posted,” I said. He nodded with a devious smirk. I got into the car and sped to the hospital. I ordered all her favorite foods from Four Seasons. I wanted her to have a breakfast feast. She did well in the delivery room.

I was ready to surprise her, but I found Nadia there. She was serving her so much food. I frowned and went to kiss her deeply,

" Good morning, my love," I greeted her. She looked dishelvish from sleeping too much but was still the most perfect. She gave me a huge grin and caressed my beard. I couldn't fathom the awe and appreciation I felt for this woman.

" Good morning,"

I went to kiss my precious little son who was in the crib next to her. He was sleeping. I was looking at my son, Khai when Nadia joyed me. She was smiling warmly at the baby too.

" The pack is overjoyed, I can hear howls up to here," she said.

After staying with my mate, I went to finish a project I started when I learned I'd have a child. It was a crib I was making for him. It was done, now.

" Teo, is it ready," I asked.

" I must say, you did a fine job, sir," he smiled and removed the cover. I admired it and smiled. I have been making it for six months.

" How is the little Prince, alpha?"

" He's perfect... Just the best baby boy," I told him.

" And the Luna,"

" Excellent,"

I found myself smiling, and there was no darkness in my heart at this moment. Everything was clear and bright.
