Chapter 506: To Be an idea?
Chapter 506: To Be an idea?
Destiny...
She walks the thread with unblinking eyes, knowing each step before it’s taken.
No soul escapes her quiet weaving, no fate is unwritten, none abandoned. She spins the loom with effortless grace — every thread a life, every knot a binding chain.
From the first embrace, the end is already known: the joy, the sorrow, and the joy again.
But then came one — a thread unraveling, a shadow mocking her design. It ripped through the pattern, defied her laws, and left her staring at the frayed line.
Now Destiny stands in broken silence, her once-perfect gaze uncertain.
The one who slipped beyond her reach has made the weaver doubt the weave itself. And somewhere far beyond all known realities, her focus clings to this single rebel thread...
Hoping to discover the root of this fracture.
---
Since the final battle in the Ninth Organism, countless years had slipped away—over ten thousand, to be exact.
As mentioned before, three women had been granted the rare freedom to set out on their own: Eve, Eliya, and Kaguya.
Under normal circumstances, considering they were starting from the very bottom of the power hierarchy once more, they would have been cast straight into the jaws of danger.
But in this case... the reality was something entirely different.
Kagami appeared in the skies of Reality Five, high above the Domain of Mirrors.
The moment his feet touched the air, the world around him shimmered like fractured glass.
Below stretched a breathtaking domain of endless reflective surfaces.
There were vast lakes that mirrored the sky perfectly, towering crystal spires that reflected entire cities within their facets, and floating islands of polished mirror like stone that rotated slowly, catching and multiplying the light in dazzling patterns.
A young mirror fox — a sleek, silver-furred female with bright, intelligent eyes — appeared in a burst of light, bowing deeply before him.
"Great Ancestor Kagami," she said with clear reverence. "Welcome to the home of Mirrors. Ancestor Mirror has been awaiting your arrival."
Hearing those words, Kagami’s expression shifted.
He looked down at the sprawling domain, his eyes widening slightly as he took in the sight of countless mirror foxes moving through the reflective landscapes — training, meditating, living.
By now, Kagami had long since become a Constellation, and during his time in Pantheos, he had even managed to revive the Mirror Fox race.
It wasn’t as though they had been completely wiped out, but back then, they had suffered the loss of a significant portion of their members.
Now, however, it was plain to see—the foxes here were different, unfamiliar.
They carried no trace whatsoever of his former bloodline.
And in this moment.... he was overwhelmed.
To see this place thriving, filled with those who could be called his kin... it stirred something complicated in his chest.
"Ancestor Mirror..." he murmured, almost to himself. "Is it her?
The young fox nodded eagerly.
"Yes, Great Ancestor. The Ancestor has been expecting you for a very long time."
Kagami remained silent for a moment longer, staring at the domain that had once been his people’s home — now reborn, stronger, and unmistakably under Kaguya’s guidance.
He took a slow breath.
"Then, lead the way."
With that, the young fox guided him into the Domain of Mirrors.
As they strolled along paths of polished crystal, Kagami took in the shimmering surroundings and spoke.
"So... how long has this Domain been around?"
Above them, the floating platforms of mirrored stone turned lazily, while rivers of liquid silver streamed skyward, carrying faint echoes of distant conversations and laughter.
Passing groups of mirror foxes in training, the young fox’s voice softened as they continued onward.
"According to our history, Ancestor Mirror is the youngest of all Ancestors in Reality," he said. "A little over twenty-five thousand years ago, we were formed from her purest essence."
Kagami lingered, absorbing the scene with a blend of wistfulness and quiet wonder.
At last, they reached a vast, hidden chamber deep within the domain — a magnificent edifice of flawless mirrored crystal, its surface capturing and refracting countless realities in a dazzling display.
The young fox halted at the threshold, lowering their head in a deep bow.
"This is where I must stop. The Ancestor Mirror wishes to meet with you alone."
Kagami gave a single nod and stepped inside.
’Kaguya... I have to make things right this time,’ he thought as he moved forward.
In his mind’s eye, he could already see her—his granddaughter, the one who had always stood head and shoulders above everyone else in her time.
The vision was vivid: a stunning young woman with long, flowing white hair and nine graceful tails. But the instant he crossed the threshold, the world around him to shift and warp.
And to his surprise, instead of the image etched in his memory—of the proud, radiant Mirror Fox he had once known—there was no Kaguya waiting for him at all.
Instead, a single, massive mirror floated in the center of the chamber.
From behind it, twelve elegant, ethereal fox tails extended outward, shimmering with silver and starlight, each tail moving with a life of its own.
Before Kagami could speak, he was pulled into a symphony of memories.
The chamber instantly dissolved around him.
And in this moment, he was tethered next to Kaguya...
The one he remembered, but it was the last day she was on Earth.
----
Kaguya stood atop a rugged mountain peak, her long white hair whipping in the cold wind.
With ten white tails swayed behind her, her fox ears twitched at every distant sound, her sharp eyes scanning the horizon with quiet intensity.
She muttered under her breath, her voice low and edged with frustration.
"Where is this bastard...?" Ever since leaving Aster, she had made her way here—the one place she’d called home since arriving on Earth.
This mountain peak... it was the same one Kagami had shown her.
Back when she sent away, he had given her a vision of the man responsible for bringing destruction to their clan.
It was clearly Ash... and he was supposed to appear right above this mountain peak.
She crossed her arms tighter, her expression softening for a brief moment.
"Grandfather... I hope you’re alright. Wherever you are."
RUMBLEEEEEE!!!!!
Immediately after her words, the ground beneath her feet began to rumble.
Far in the distance, the seals of Antarctica were breaking.
The sky over the southern pole cracked open with unnatural light as ancient forces stirred.
Her eyes narrowed this very moment as she knew it was only a matter of time.
From that point, weeks of brutal battles had already begun across the world — cities burning, foes clashing, and Earth collapsing under the weight of the collective powers.
Through it all, Kaguya stayed seated on the mountain, just as her grandfather had shown her, waiting with unshakable patience.
She waited for the day the skies would shatter.
She waited for the man responsible for wiping out her clan to appear.
FWOOOOSHHHHH!
But instead of the enemy she had braced herself to face, a colossal blaze of every color imaginable burst across the horizon.
Unbeknownst to her, it had already swept through the entire multiverse.
It consumed everything in its path— mountains, forests, cities, and the sky vanished in a single, searing wave.
Kaguya’s eyes widened in shock as the radiant inferno rushed toward her, erasing all that was before it.
For her there was no time to move.
In an instant, the multi-colored flame swallowed her whole.
