Chapter 973 - 972: Apology
Chapter 973 - 972: Apology
"Your Song Family is quite formidable, we can’t beat you, but with so many of us here, with all our companies united, I don’t believe your Song Family can remain at the top. Be careful; you might not even know how you fall." Someone, unable to hold back, loudly directed his words at Mr. Song.
Although they didn’t speak up, seeing their calm demeanor, it was clear that this would not end well. The man’s words seemed to remind them of something; even if they couldn’t defeat the Song Family alone, what if they joined forces? If several of them joined forces, would he still dare to be so arrogant?
They were full of themselves, thinking they could threaten Mr. Song, yet they saw no trace of panic on Mr. Song’s face, as if he hadn’t heard them at all; he was not surprised by their choice at all.
"I knew you would do this, but in my view, your resistance is truly insignificant. Your actions to me are like a mantis trying to stop a chariot, but I believe people should have dreams and aspirations; without these, wouldn’t you be no different from the bugs on the ground?" Mr. Song said mockingly.
"Fine, remember what you said today; sooner or later, you’ll regret the words you’ve spoken." The man, with a disgruntled expression, said to Mr. Song.
Before today, if Mr. Song had heard this, he might have just laughed it off, and the matter would have ended there.
But now, Mr. Song didn’t intend to let it go, "I’m looking forward to that day." Mr. Song smiled slightly, his brows filled with a murderous aura.
The group gave Mr. Song a fierce glance and then called each other to leave, leaving Mr. Song standing there alone.
More excessively, before leaving, each of them drove their car and ruthlessly crashed into Mr. Song’s car, turning his perfectly good car into a heap of scrap.
Mr. Song always wore a faint smile, looking as if he didn’t care about their actions at all.
But Xu Ke knew, he had certainly kept this account against them; today they crashed one of his cars, and later, he would make them pay ten times over.
All of Mr. Song’s people left one after another, leaving only Mr. Song alone at the scene.
The staff hesitantly approached, looking at Mr. Song and asked, "Do you still need the party venue today?"
"Do you think I still need the venue when I’m here alone?" Mr. Song, smiling, replied to the staff, which startled the staff slightly as she had clearly watched him intimidate the group earlier.
The staff carefully glanced at Mr. Song once, then shifted her gaze to Xu Ke.
"Since Mr. Song no longer needs the venue, the party venue today is yours. Please come with me to settle the balance." The staff said respectfully, completely different from her previous arrogance.
"Hey, weren’t you just being very arrogant? Why are you so cowardly now? Why don’t you show us some backbone?" An employee with Xu Ke taunted.
A comment from one person, and the others chimed in as well.
In an instant, they had the woman on metaphorical coals, burning like a fierce fire beneath her, while she was the food on the roasting rack.
For a moment, the woman appeared a bit panicked, casting a pleading glance at Mr. Song, hoping he would rescue her.
But Mr. Song only returned her a smile, showing no intention of speaking up to help.
"What do you even want? Isn’t the venue yours now? Why are you still making a fuss with me?" The woman said, her expression filled with grievance.
"You’re the one acting all aggrieved, but aren’t you bringing this on yourself? Clearly, we reserved the venue first but because we didn’t pay enough, without notifying us, you rented it to someone else. We’re lucky they didn’t use it due to unforeseen events; otherwise, what would we do? Stand outside feeding mosquitoes?" Xu Ke’s employee said discontentedly.
The staff was left speechless by the employee’s retort; she wanted to rebuke but couldn’t find the words to do so, ultimately choosing to shift the topic.
"None of this matters anymore, it’s all in the past. The venue is yours now; if you want to play here, send someone over to settle the balance. If not, then just leave." The staff said.
"Oh, how arrogant! You’ve clearly done wrong yet won’t apologize and keep tangling with us here; does it serve any purpose?" Among Xu Ke’s employees, there was someone with a hot temper; earlier, he had restrained himself because the staff was a woman.
But now, he couldn’t stand it anymore; the matter had reached such a critical point, yet she still shirked responsibility, or rather hadn’t realized her mistake.
Continuing to argue non-stop without any repentance—such an attitude was truly disgusting.
So even though she was a woman, he decided not to hold back; he spoke loudly and unapologetically.
Successfully making the staff’s expression change.
Originally, she was just a young woman standing alone outside the venue, feeling very nervous, especially now during nighttime when it was even less safe.
On top of that, all the people brought by Xu Ke were men; she was surrounded by so many men, evoking scenes of horror, crime scenes one after another flashing through her mind, making her instinctively afraid.
"What do you want? I did nothing wrong, why should I apologize? It’s the principle of the highest bidder wins; you didn’t bid high enough, and won’t allow others to pay more either? What logic is that? Moreover, I only collected your deposit, which meant I reserved the place temporarily for you—not necessarily lease it to you. It’s on you for not making more backup plans, is that my fault?" The staff, rolling her eyes, said with dissatisfaction.
"So you’re refusing to admit your mistake, huh? You’re young but good at passing the buck; truly impressive. Do you think we’re stuck here at your venue? Let me tell you, Ning City has plenty of venues; yours isn’t indispensable. You’d better fix your attitude." Xu Ke’s employees said.
