Chapter 920 - 919: Consequences
Chapter 920 - 919: Consequences
"If that’s the case, then brother, just drive them out of Ning City. I don’t want to see anything related to them in Ning City for the rest of my life." He Qing said, pointing her finger at her mouth.
"Please, brother." After speaking, He Qing clutched He Chen’s arm, swaying back and forth as she pouted.
"Alright, I’ll do whatever you say."
He Chen was never stingy when it came to such small matters with He Qing; whatever she wanted, he would give her.
The leading man, upon hearing He Chen’s words, plopped down to the ground, but he wasn’t completely desperate. If it was only about leaving Ning City, his loss wasn’t too great. His display of grief was merely to make the He siblings feel a bit better, hoping they’d be more lenient on him.
But he was overthinking it. He Chen felt a pang of jealousy watching He Qing smiling radiantly at Xu Ke. He secretly glared at Xu Ke several times from a corner where He Qing couldn’t see.
Already in a foul mood, He Chen’s discontent was further fueled by the leading man’s mournful act, making him feel as if the whole world was against him.
"What? Not satisfied with my recent decision? If that’s the case, he should leave Ning City as naked as he came into this world." He Chen declared, looking at the leading man, announcing his latest decision.
The man who was pretending to be sad suddenly realized that He Chen’s latest decree turned his act into a reality.
This time, he couldn’t care about anything else and lunged forward to cling onto He Chen’s leg. Unprepared, He Chen almost fell flat on his face.
The thought of embarrassing himself in front of his most hated person made He Chen burn with anger. Before the man could plead for mercy, He Chen kicked him.
Luckily, the man only grabbed one leg; if he had grabbed both, He Chen might not have been able to make a kicking motion.
The leading man was kicked in the chest, spurting out a mouthful of blood.
This unfortunate incident happened right in front of the flamboyant man’s eyes, scaring him into covering his mouth and shivering.
He had never known the seemingly gentle He family heir to have such a bad temper in private, but his fears were just beginning.
Xu Ke glanced in his direction, their eyes meeting in the air. He saw Xu Ke give him a smile devoid of any warmth.
Although Xu Ke quickly shifted his gaze after just a glance, it felt as if he was frozen by Xu Ke’s look, standing there dumbly, afraid to make any move.
The man kicked down by He Chen tried to get up and crawl to He Chen’s feet to plead for himself, but he had only crawled halfway when He Chen’s voice rang out again.
"What? Don’t even want to live now?"
He Chen’s words froze him in place, daring not to move.
The man’s forehead was gradually covered with beads of sweat, either from pain or fear. The sweat trickled down his brow and dripped onto the ground, shattering into many pieces.
The others in the room, who had previously bullied Xu Ke, were now kneeling properly on the floor. No matter how their knees hurt or how humiliated they felt, they didn’t move at all.
With a lesson taught through others, they didn’t want to share the same fate. If their families found out it was because of their actions, they would become the family’s sinners, a consequence they couldn’t bear.
Everyone trembled as they knelt on the floor, while the previously scorned Xu Ke was chatting with He Qing.
The flamboyant man who had knelt down gradually came to his senses. He took a look at Xu Ke, then quickly lowered his head. Whatever thoughts he had, his body kept trembling, as if afflicted with Parkinson’s.
Later, a strange smell spread through the room, and everyone turned in the direction of the scent. They saw a wet patch beneath the flamboyant man’s knees—the source of the odor.
He had been so scared by his own imagination that he peed himself.
Whether from shame or unbearable fear, his body tilted sideways, and he passed out completely.
Perhaps only by doing so could he completely escape the current awkward situation.
Everyone silently distanced themselves from his position, each wearing an expression of disgust.
"He’s so disgusting. At his age, wetting his pants. Brother, I don’t want to stay in this room any longer; it’s too gross." He Qing said, holding her nose and pouting to He Chen.
In truth, even if He Qing hadn’t said it, He Chen wasn’t planning to stay in the room either. He had a bit of a cleanliness obsession, and the scene made his skin crawl, feeling as though countless bugs were gnawing at him.
The three of them quickly left the room, and only then did those who had been kneeling on the floor stand up one by one.
Perhaps to vent their anger, they each kicked the flamboyant man while passing by.
The man, who had fallen unconscious, was kicked awake but kept his eyes closed for some reason, refusing to open them.
The last to stand up from the ground was the leading man. With a ferocious expression, he walked over to the flamboyant man and gave a hard kick to his soft abdomen, sending him a meter away from his original position.
"I know you’re not fainted, open your eyes, look at me!" he shouted at the flamboyant man on the ground.
"It’s all your fault I’m in this mess today. If it weren’t for what you told me, would I have offended Xu Ke? If I hadn’t offended him, would I be in this situation today?"
"I’m telling you, even if I die today, I’ll take you to Hell with me."
The man’s tone was unusually vicious, and the flamboyant man lying on the ground couldn’t keep up the pretense of fainting any longer.
He had a feeling that if he continued to pretend to be unconscious, he might never have to open his eyes again.
He quickly opened his eyes and dodged the man’s incoming kick as fast as he could.
"Is it my fault? You bullied Xu Ke even before I said anything. I only said it because I saw you wanted to bully him. Besides, when I said it, I wasn’t lying; that’s what everyone at St. Hao was saying. Who knew when they reconciled? I’m not a Prophet. How can you blame me for everything?"
The flamboyant man, unconvinced, argued loudly, but the man, who had lost everything and was mentally collapsing, couldn’t hear him.
All he knew was that because of this person in front of him, he had lost everything he had.
He wanted revenge, to take revenge fiercely. Even if it meant death, he’d drag this person who caused his downfall to the grave with him!
He stepped towards him one step at a time, his eyes unknowingly filled with red blood, looking like a ferocious, terrifying beast.
