Supreme Heir Son-in-law

Chapter 890: Extermination

Chapter 890: Extermination

"I already told you I’m busy, can’t you understand human language?" The guy didn’t care who was standing behind him, his words were filled with anger, as if he was about to start a fight any second.

"I understand, but I still want to ask you to step aside." Xu Ke wasn’t angry upon hearing the guy’s irritable words, instead, his smile grew even more obvious.

The guy, busy fighting, was really annoyed by Xu Ke. He wanted to turn around to see who the careless person disturbing him was. When he turned, he saw Xu Ke with a smiling face, and for a moment, his mind went blank. His gaze shifted from Xu Ke to the ground behind him.

The eight brothers who had surrounded Xu Ke earlier were now lying on the ground neatly, looking extremely comfortable. The guy’s already blank brain seemed to operate even slower now.

"If you want to zone out, could you please make way before doing so? I’m in a hurry to get inside." Xu Ke pointed to the crowd that was fighting energetically and said.

The guy dumbly nodded at this scene, with a wooden brain, he truly made way for Xu Ke.

"Thank you for your cooperation." Xu Ke nodded to the guy as he was let through, then continued walking in, repeating what he said to the guy.

However, it’s unclear whether that person was addicted to fighting or had poor hearing, but he showed no reaction to Xu Ke’s words and kept pounding on the old drunk who was curled up within the crowd.

At this moment, the guy, always in a daze, finally grasped something and shouted at the crowd, "He has accomplices here too, don’t let him get away!"

After shouting, the guy was the first to instigate trouble against Xu Ke, throwing a punch towards Xu Ke. Xu Ke, as if having eyes on his back, tilted his head to avoid the punch, while grabbing the guy’s swinging arm and pulling it forcefully towards his direction. The guy, losing his balance, stumbled towards Xu Ke, and just as he was about to fall onto Xu Ke, a sharp pain seized his waist. Simultaneously, Xu Ke released the hand he was holding, and the guy fell to the ground like a kite with a broken string.

The acute pain in his waist left him lying on the ground like a dying fish. He flapped a couple of times before coming to a stop.

The exchange between the two lasted only a moment, and before the crowd could react, the outcome of the battle was already determined.

As a result, when the crowd turned their gaze towards Xu Ke because of the guy’s words, they saw Xu Ke withdrawing the leg he had just used to kick.

Seeing everyone looking his way, Xu Ke smiled politely and shyly. He even tidied his collar and greeted everyone with a smile.

"Hi, everyone!"

Xu Ke’s gesture made the crowd pause their actions, and the yard instantly became exceptionally quiet, making the old drunk’s heavy breathing particularly loud.

"Are you okay?" Xu Ke asked as he looked at the old drunk lying on the ground, curled up with his head covered.

The old drunk was covering his face, so Xu Ke couldn’t see his expression. However, seeing the clothes layered with footprints and his rough breathing, Xu Ke figured the man’s condition might not be great.

Xu Ke was even prepared not to receive an answer from the old drunk, but unexpectedly, the old drunk spoke, though so quietly it was hard to catch without paying close attention.

He said, "I’m okay."

He said, "Now it’s up to you."

"You really dumped a big one on me," Xu Ke said, and after waiting a bit longer without hearing anything more from the old drunk, there was a hint of helplessness on his smiling face.

Listening to Xu Ke’s tone, it seemed as if he was complaining, but his expression showed that Xu Ke was particularly calm at that moment. He even had the leisure to roll up his sleeves, appearing extremely relaxed, which, in the eyes of everyone, was blatant provocation.

The crowd also saw the scene on the other side of the yard and realized Xu Ke wasn’t easy to deal with. Hence, they looked at Xu Ke with high vigilance, with some even secretly swallowing their saliva, appearing quite intimidated, as if the two sides weren’t even in the same league.

"Are you going to come at me together or one by one? But I’m rather pressed for time, so I’d prefer if you came at me one by one," Xu Ke said after rolling up his sleeves, his face bearing a smile as he addressed the nine people standing in front of him.

"No need to be polite with him, let’s all go at him together." Brother Bear frowned deeply at Xu Ke. Initially, he thought people were exaggerating, but hadn’t expected there was really someone this good at fighting. Brother Bear feared that among those present, some cared too much about saving face and would refuse to attack together, so he shouted such words.

But in fact, there was no need for Brother Bear to shout, as those people never planned on battling Xu Ke one-on-one. They cared about face, but they weren’t fools. Didn’t they see that everyone who went against him before got knocked down? How foolish would they be to want single combat with someone of such a demonic level?

Thus, with Brother Bear’s command, nine people almost simultaneously launched themselves at Xu Ke. They figured that two fists are no match for four hands, and with their numbers, they’d already won in terms of quantity. Xu Ke couldn’t possibly handle so many people, so they figured their chances of victory were quite high.

Their plans seemed rosy, but they forgot there’s an old saying: "One man defends the pass, ten thousand are unable to pass." Xu Ke watched these incoming people without the slightest panic. To him, their attacks were riddled with flaws, laughably so.

From the outside, Xu Ke seemed surrounded by so many people, likely doomed, but if there were a Heavenly Eye at the scene zooming in, it would reveal that no one could actually touch Xu Ke, who only remained on the outskirts creating a ruckus. On the contrary, their number gave Xu Ke the opportunity to attack. Xu Ke’s punches landed unfailingly, and soon the nine individuals were all dealt with one by one by Xu Ke.

When the last person was kicked and sent flying, his face bore a confused expression. He couldn’t comprehend how things turned out this way, why they lost, when they were so many. Surely, they should have won.

The man landed on the ground with a thud, raising a cloud of dust, but the questions in his mind went unanswered. No one came to tell him the answer.

After taking care of everyone, Xu Ke looked over the dozen people sprawled on the ground, clapping his hands to confirm they were out of commission and posed no more threat before turning his focus back to the old drunk.

"Can you make it? Why are you still lying there? Can’t walk?" Xu Ke asked, looking at the old drunk still lying in the same posture on the ground.
