Supreme Heir Son-in-law

Chapter 1010 - 1009: Bizarre Statements

Chapter 1010 - 1009: Bizarre Statements

The man stayed at Wu Laosi’s house, not going to Third Young Master Hu’s house.

He knew his two partners too well. Wu Laosi was timid and cowardly, and all he had to do was intimidate him a little to find out what they had done behind his back. Here with Wu Laosi, he could ensure his own safety.

But that wasn’t the case with Third Young Master Hu. Hu had a bit of cunning, a high degree of vigilance, and most importantly, a ruthless style. He was confident he could extract information from him, but once he did, if things were as he suspected and the two had harmed him while he was unconscious,

then the first thing Third Young Master Hu would do after giving up information would likely be to kill him to permanently shut him up.

Therefore, the man’s first and only choice from the beginning to end was Wu Laosi.

As the man waited for Wu Laosi to wake from his coma, Xu Ke’s people also made progress. After barging into an unknown number of homes, they locked their target on Wu Laosi and his two associates.

At this moment, the man who had been keeping his eyes closed, whether he was asleep or just maintaining awareness, finally opened his eyes.

"Did you get the address?" the man asked the person reporting the matter to him as he opened his eyes.

"Yes, we got it," the man being questioned nodded and quickly responded.

"Since we have the address, let’s move. The Boss is anxious to get them. We need to be quick." The lead man stood up from the only sofa in the room, tidied his already neat clothes, and said.

The others were used to this scenario and, following the lead man’s instructions, got into their vehicles. They split into three groups, each heading to their designated targets, ready to act simultaneously and waste no time.

This approach was indeed efficient; they didn’t continue running but brought their results directly to their territory. The lead man reported his findings to Xu Ke, including the incident where the three men broke into Tangtang and Guoguo’s room that night.

At the hospital, where Tangtang and Guoguo’s room had just been arranged, and the two sisters had just come out of surgery, they were still in the anesthetic phase, unconscious, and pale likely due to blood loss.

Xu Ke sat by their bedside, looking at the sisters. When the phone call from the lead man came, he was combing Guoguo’s slightly disheveled hair. His face darkened upon hearing what the sisters had gone through.

Leaving the hospital with a grim expression, Xu Ke got into a car, heading straight to the address provided by the lead man. He was going to teach the three men a lesson, show them what it means to regret being born.

The lead man didn’t avoid the three men when reporting to Xu Ke. After all, what he was saying to the person on the other end of the line was about what they had done, so there was no point in keeping it from them.

Instead, upon hearing the lead man talking to someone on the phone, the three men panicked, realizing they were brought here to answer for what they’d done to Tangtang and Guoguo. It puzzled them how two girls from a tongzi building, akin to a slum, could have such a background.

Had they known these girls were so well-connected, they wouldn’t have dared to act against them. But now, it was too late for regret, the deed was done, and they just hoped their fate wouldn’t be too miserable.

The three men thought with pale faces.

The most dishonest of them, Third Young Master Hu, fixed his gaze on the lead man, wondering if he could bribe his way out or at least lessen the suffering.

When Third Young Master Hu’s gaze fell on the lead man, he knew what the man was up to and smirked sarcastically.

Want to buy him off? That would be downright crazy, going against the Boss’s authority. Wanting to make trouble for himself in a life he thought too easy otherwise was like wishing for death.

As Third Young Master Hu was about to cozy up to the lead man, a gaze as sharp as a knife shot towards him, successfully shutting him up.

Waiting for the unknown is a painful thing, especially when the unknown is clearly a bad thing.

At this moment, they felt like condemned prisoners lying on an execution table, the cold, gleaming guillotine above their necks, unsure when it would fall.

Just as their mental defenses were about to collapse, Xu Ke finally arrived.

When Xu Ke entered, his gaze immediately fell on the three tied-up men, his eyes filled with murderous intent as he scanned them one by one before speaking, "It’s these three?"

"Yes," the lead man responded, respectfully taking Xu Ke’s coat.

"Gutsy indeed, daring to touch my women. Who gave you the courage?" Xu Ke asked, his eyes cold and piercing as he stared at the three kneeling men.

"It wasn’t me, I didn’t touch them. They jumped out the window on their own, it’s not my fault. We didn’t want to do anything to them, we just needed some money, that’s all," Wu Laosi hastily defended himself, disregarding everything else in light of Xu Ke’s aggressive approach.

Xu Ke scoffed at a desperate Wu Laosi, "You want me to believe they jumped off for a bit of money? You think I’m a fool?"

Wu Laosi paused under Xu Ke’s murderous glare. His mind spun rapidly in panic, thinking, and spoke again despite the growing tension, "We really just wanted some money. One of them flirted with us, but we rejected her. Yet they still lunged at us, and in the struggle, they ended up by the window, threatening to jump if we didn’t agree. We thought they were bluffing and didn’t pay heed, but they really jumped."

In front of Xu Ke’s eyes, Wu Laosi’s voice dwindled, growing weaker and less confident.

"What makes you think you’re so appealing that they’d be infatuated with you?" Xu Ke’s words almost choked out of him, dripping with sarcasm.
