Chapter 1870 - 1933: The Su Family’s Grand Gestures

The book is about to usher in its second full-channel release, tomorrow there will be a big explosion of events at room six. Let’s witness the power of tomorrow’s explosion, ha ha!Li Yifei wandered around the villa and became numb to it. He saw at least twenty to thirty Formation Methods, both large and small. The small ones might be only a few square meters, the large ones over a hundred square meters, each with different effects. Some were for making the landscape more beautiful, others for convenience. Li Yifei even saw a Formation Method designed specifically to shade a plant from sunlight, which could reduce sun exposure without completely blocking it.

"The lives of wealthy people are just too luxurious!" Li Yifei exclaimed, "No, it should be the lives of capable people that are too luxurious."

After seeing these Formation Methods, Li Yifei thought about his home. Many of the Formation Methods could similarly be arranged at home, like a Defensive Array that is invisible to the naked eye, but will sound an alarm when touched. Li Yifei accidentally triggered an alarm, which brought the Su Family members to him. Seeing it was Li Yifei, they explained the principle to him.

This thing could be set up at home, around it, such that as soon as someone approaches and triggers it, an alarm goes off. It’s much more effective than modern technology. Take Li Yifei for example: even without True Qi at the moment, he could easily break through layers of defense to enter his home, showing just how... useless those modern devices are.

As for cameras, they can capture moving objects, but they react slowly. Even Sophia could come and go freely to the Li family home, showing how inadequate this protection really is. But if it were replaced with a Formation Method, it would be silent and unnoticed, even experts wouldn’t be able to detect it or even think of it. Once inside, it could trigger the Formation and sound the alarm!

Li Yifei thought to himself that he would have to ask Su Tianhai about this and strive to learn it.

He was just thinking when he suddenly heard a voice.

"What are you doing? Being sneaky, I’m talking to you!" Li Yifei turned his head and saw a young man about twenty years old, with a similar build to himself, but with a few pimples on his face, walking towards him with a hostile expression.

Li Yifei tossed away the grass in his hand, stood up from the ground, and said, "Just looking around."

"Just looking around? Hmph!" The man stood in front of Li Yifei arrogantly, with a look on his face as if Li Yifei owed him money. He scrutinized Li Yifei from head to toe and then said, "I think you’re trying to sneak in here. Tell me, what’s your purpose?"

Li Yifei chuckled dismissively, shook his head, and didn’t bother to engage with the young man. Instead, he turned to leave. The young man, seeing Li Yifei trying to leave without acknowledging him, became slightly annoyed. He quickly stepped forward, grabbed Li Yifei’s shoulder, and angrily scolded, "I’m asking you a question, dare you not answer me?"

As he spoke, he exerted force, trying to throw Li Yifei to the ground, but found that no matter how much strength he used, Li Yifei didn’t budge.

What’s going on? The man knew his own strength; even if it were an average person, let alone a tall, sturdy guy over two meters tall, he shouldn’t be unable to move someone.

Li Yifei didn’t retaliate. Who would dare to shout and cause a scene here, other than someone from the Su Family? And from the man’s face, which was somewhat similar to Ma Han’s horse face, also long, Li Yifei figured he was part of the family, so he didn’t move, but that didn’t mean he would let the man drag him around.

Knowing the youngster had no good intentions, Li Yifei just used slight force, making it impossible for the other to move him.

"You dare to resist!" The man released his grip. Realizing Li Yifei was unusual, he waited for Li Yifei to turn around before saying coldly, "Kid, daring to act up in the Su Family, I’ll make you regret it!"

Do I have a face that invites mockery? Li Yifei wondered, seeing the man’s angry expression. He hadn’t even done anything, just squatted down to observe a Formation, and yet drew someone like this?

Li Yifei thought about it and shook his head, then said, "First, I didn’t sneak in. With your Su Family’s security, do you think I could sneak in? Second, I didn’t provoke you. I just found the Formation fascinating and took a few more looks. If it’s inappropriate, I’ll leave. No need to get all worked up."

"You even have excuses!" The man attempted to make another move. At that moment, a woman from the Su Family heard the commotion and quickly came over. Seeing it was Li Yifei, she hurriedly ran over and stopped the man, saying, "Ah, Tong, this is Mr. Li, he’s a guest. Don’t speak out of turn."

"Guest? How come I didn’t know we had such a suspicious-looking guest?" Su Tong immediately frowned and said.

"He’s the old master’s guest, don’t act rashly," the woman said. "You’ve just come back, go and see your father. Don’t talk nonsense."

Su Tong snorted, realizing he couldn’t make things difficult for Li Yifei, and said to the woman, "Third Aunt, I’ll heed your advice, but also keep an eye on him. We have so many secrets, not something outsiders can snoop around for!"

Su Tong said, then glared at Li Yifei again and turned to leave.

Li Yifei appeared calm. He knew the woman who spoke; during the meal, she was at the table, the wife of Wang Dynasty. Theoretically, he should call her "Grandmother," so he slightly bent over and said, "Third Grandmother."

The woman shook her head, smiled at Li Yifei, and said, "Mr. Li, don’t be angry. Ah Tong is young and sometimes lacks proper manners."

"Is this Second Master Ma’s son?" Li Yifei asked.

"It’s my second brother’s child, studying abroad. I don’t know why he returned today. He’s usually not like this, very polite. Perhaps something happened today, so he’s upset. Mr. Li, please don’t take it to heart!"

"Oh, it’s Second Master’s child, then never mind, it’s fine. I didn’t know some things can’t be touched..."

"There are no forbidden areas for you in Su Family, Mr. Li. You’re welcome to..." Wang Dynasty’s wife quickly said.

Li Yifei replied, "This title is a bit confusing, so let’s do this—I won’t call you ’Third Grandmother,’ and you can just call me ’Yifei!’"

"Alright then, Yifei, feel free to wander around. There’s really no issue."

"Okay, then I’ll continue to stroll around a bit. Mainly, I’m fascinated by these formation methods. However, if there’s anything I shouldn’t see, be sure to let me know. Don’t worry about hurting my pride." Li Yifei said, and Wang Dynasty’s wife shook her head with a smile, saying, "Go ahead, I’ll be over there doing farm work. If you don’t understand something, feel free to ask me. Oh, right, there are many small animals in the back mountain. You can go see them, but don’t go too far inside because there are lions and tigers, which might be dangerous."

"Alright, thank you for the reminder. I’ll continue looking around."

Li Yifei wasn’t affected and, mainly, the formation methods here were too captivating. Curiously, Li Yifei unknowingly arrived at the back mountain. What’s referred to as the back mountain is the mountain behind the estate, roughly over a thousand meters high. This mountain is extremely tall when placed in a plain region, but within the Changbai Mountain range, it’s not that tall, nor is it very large. There’s a small path leading to the back mountain, a neat stone stairway, indicating regular cleaning.

On both sides of the path, Li Yifei actually felt the presence of formations, which piqued his curiosity. Wang Dynasty’s wife had already told him there were many animals here. Li Yifei hadn’t walked far before seeing several rabbits munching grass on the lawn, hopping adorably.

Furthermore, the rabbits weren’t afraid of people, instead they were quite friendly. When they saw Li Yifei, two little rabbits even hopped over, seemingly asking for food. Li Yifei, with empty hands, had nothing to offer, but the little rabbits didn’t want to leave, so Li Yifei grabbed a handful of grass and fed them, which the two small rabbits gladly accepted, eating happily.

Li Yifei chuckled, although when he first saw the little rabbits, his mind first thought they probably tasted good, but that didn’t stop him from finding the little rabbits cute.

Perhaps sensing his sinister thoughts, the few little rabbits ate a few bites of the grass and then hopped away, while Li Yifei stood up and continued up the mountain.

Not only rabbits, but Li Yifei also saw many small animals, even a wild boar, and some animals that could only be seen in zoos. He even saw a peacock on a large tree trunk, and confirmed he hadn’t mistaken it for anything else. It was a white male peacock, which spread its tail when Li Yifei approached.

Peacocks belong to tropical regions, yet Changbai Mountain is located in the northeast of Huaxia. The summer here is brief, with snow during May Day and National Day, even more so during the endless winter. Since there are peacocks and many other animals here, it implies there’s another large formation on the mountain that can alter the climate, especially since many of the plants here are those that only grow in tropical regions.

Li Yifei, holding two ripe bananas, thought to himself, but this time he couldn’t identify the formation method or its materials, marveling at Elder Su’s generous arrangements, while continuing upwards.

As soon as he turned past a large tree, Li Yifei heard the roar of a tiger. He was certain he hadn’t misheard; there were indeed tigers on this mountain.

"This has gone overboard, bringing up tigers. Aren’t they afraid of eating other animals?" Li Yifei commented but continued upwards, soon seeing the full appearance of the tiger. It was an immense Siberian tiger, three meters long with a king character on its forehead. A full-grown Siberian tiger is exceptionally large, capable of easily toppling not just humans, but even a cow...

Upon seeing the tiger, Li Yifei paused. As someone who once killed a tiger in Southeast Asia, Li Yifei could judge the level of danger. Within seconds, his muscles relaxed because although the Siberian tiger noticed him, it showed no interest, merely giving him a glance before lazily sunbathing on that large stone.

A ray of sunlight happened to shine on that stone, making it the perfect time to enjoy the sun.
