Chapter 1444: Let’s Have a Child for Fun
Only then did Celeste look up at Ethan Barnes. "You can leave, you know. Go find them. No one’s forcing you to stay here."
Ethan narrowed his eyes. "Celeste, are you getting cocky just because I spoil you?"
"Yeah. So you’d better not spoil me, otherwise I’ll really start pushing my luck. I might even climb on top of your head one day."
Instead of getting mad, Ethan laughed. He tightened his arms around Celeste and pressed her into him. "Woman, you’ve successfully piqued my curiosity. I’m always the one pinning women down—no woman’s ever dared to sit on my head."
As he spoke, Ethan’s thin lips hooked up in a wicked curve. "Before you climb on my head, shouldn’t you at least try climbing...on my body first?"
"..." Caught off guard by his dirty joke, Celeste almost got thrown off the bed. She reached out and pushed him. "I haven’t showered yet."
"Why haven’t you? Were you waiting for me, planning to have a lovers’ bath together?"
"No, that’s not it..."
"We’ll shower together." Ethan reached out, ready to scoop her up in his arms.
Celeste refused. "You go first. My design draft is almost done, and they’re still waiting for me to hand it in."
"Celeste, I might have given you the freedom to work, but you need to understand what your first priority is—and that’s serving me. Got it?"
Celeste felt helpless. She softened her body and leaned in to peck his handsome face. "You go shower first, okay? Give me a little time, I’ll be done soon."
Ethan held her, her body soft and warm in his arms. Her hair carried a faint, pleasant scent that was addictive. "You think that’s enough to fob me off? Am I that easy to brush off in your heart?"
Celeste just looked at him, without taking things any further.
"Celeste, you’re a smart woman, aren’t you? Sex is about both sides being willing. I’ve already spent plenty of time on you, enough to show my sincerity. If you’d just cooperate a little, things would be easier for both of us. Otherwise, you’ll just suffer for it later." Ethan half-coaxed, half-threatened.
Celeste had long since accepted reality. Even though she loathed every intimate contact with Ethan inside, she had no choice but to bow her head to reality.
Celeste wrapped her arms around his neck and sweetly pressed a kiss to his thin lips.
Ethan lifted his hands and settled her on his thigh, her legs straddling his hard waist, then pulled her into a deep kiss.
Her kiss was very inexperienced, without any extra technique; whatever she knew, he had taught her. Men liked girls who were clean and pure in bed, ones they could slowly train themselves, like painting on a blank sheet of paper, leaving it covered in their own marks.
Ethan held the back of her head and deepened the kiss.
Soon Celeste’s lips and tongue were tingling. She had obviously been the one to initiate, yet he had already taken over completely. Even in bed, he never ceded control—overbearing to the extreme.
Her little hands pressed against his chest and pushed him away. "Is that enough? You go shower first."
Ethan tugged at her clothes, his eyes clouded with desire, even his voice gone hoarse. "Not enough. Wait a bit."
Celeste felt things were slipping out of control and quickly refused. "But you just promised me. I should have satisfied you by now, right? Let me finish my work first. I promised I’d hand the draft in on time."
Listening to her chatter on and on, Ethan frowned slightly. "Then quit dawdling. I won’t be long."
"..." Just then, a lilting ringtone sounded. Celeste’s phone was ringing; it was the studio calling to rush her.
Celeste’s eyes lit up like she’d seen a lifeline. She reached for her phone. "I’ve got a call, let me pick up..."
Ethan’s strong arm tightened around her, not allowing her to move. "If you dare answer that call, I’ll let them hear exactly what you sound like. Let them know how their illustrious angel is when she’s on a man’s..."
Celeste instantly slapped a small hand over his mouth, not letting him say another word.
He was utterly shameless—there was nothing he wouldn’t say.
Ethan watched her, and under her gaze, he took her over bit by bit.
She still held some resistance, her brows tightly knitted, a faint red mist blurring her pale eyes. Her teeth bit down on her lower lip, and her fingernails had already scratched a few bloody marks into his shoulder.
Ethan’s Adam’s apple kept bobbing; he couldn’t bear to look away. Only with her could he truly understand what "soul-stealing" felt like.
She was his addiction.
...
Ethan went in to shower. The sound of rushing water came from inside. Celeste hastily threw her clothes back on and returned to her design, but her fingertips were trembling slightly, and her beautiful face was flushed red.
She forced herself to forget what had just happened and poured all her focus into her work.
Soon there was a soft click as the bathroom door opened. Ethan came out from his shower, drops of water sliding down from his neat buzz cut. He’d thrown on a black silk robe, loosely tied, his whole body exuding a clean, wild energy that could make anyone blush and look away.
Ethan glanced over at Celeste; she was working again, completely absorbed.
Just then, a knock came at the door. Ethan went to open it. A maid said, "Sir, this is the bird’s nest with red dates you asked us to stew for Miss Linden."
Ethan reached out to take it, then closed the door.
He walked over to Celeste and fed her himself. "Ah, open up."
Celeste turned her head away. "You eat it yourself. I don’t want any, I’m working."
Watching how she neglected him just to rush her work, Ethan couldn’t help but threaten, "Do you want me to feed you another way?"
Celeste looked up and saw his gaze fixed on her swollen lips.
She hadn’t showered, her clothes were messy, her little face flushed. On top of her usual softness, there was a new lazy allure—any man who saw her like this would be tempted.
"No need, I’ll eat it myself." Celeste reached out to take the bowl.
But Ethan brought the spoon straight to her lips. "Hurry up and open your mouth."
Celeste could only open her mouth and, as fast as possible, finished the entire bowl of bird’s nest. "I’m done."
"Full?"
"Mm, full."
Only then did Ethan put the bowl down.
"Do you have something else you want me to take?" Celeste suddenly asked.
Ethan raised a brow. "What thing?"
"Just now...you didn’t use any protection..."
Ethan understood what she meant. "You mean the pill? You don’t want a baby?"
"Do you want a baby?"
Ethan pulled Celeste into his arms, closing his eyes as he inhaled the scent of her skin. "I don’t want kids, and I don’t like kids."
She had already known that answer. Men like him, with a bad original family, usually didn’t like children.
"Then have someone get me the morning-after pill. I don’t want to get pregnant and then have an abortion; it’s bad for the body."
"But just now, I suddenly changed my mind. How about...we have a baby to play with?"
