Chapter 313: The Clash

Chapter 313: The Clash

[Well, technically]

[It has no brain so the concept of stupidity would be invalid here as well]

'Shut up.' Wei said as he finished digging the hole. Once he was done, he didn't even bother to cover it. If the zombie was as fast as it was before, it wouldn't be able to dodge it anyway. No chance if there was no brain involved as well.

He then threw two holy bombs at the bottom and finally, he was done. It took him about three hours to dig a hole ten feet deep. It was narrow as well and if Wei Jun hadn't planted a rope, it would have been difficult for even him to get out. So there was an even lesser chance of the zombie making it out.

Once he was done, he once again climbed the tree to look for the zombie. This time, he wasn't able to locate it.

'Now where the hell is that big lug?' Wei Jun asked but no matter how far he looked, he couldn't find it. So, he decided to move to another sector of the dungeon while marking the place so he wouldn't get lost as well. He must have traveled for about half a day before…

'There it is,' Wei Jun said as he spotted something disgusting moving in the distance. It was moving aimlessly without any direction which meant it really had no brain.

'Well, what else can I expect from it?' Wei Jun thought as he moved in closer. Just as he was in a suitable range, the zombie king immediately picked up his scent. Without a moment's hesitation, the big zombie ran towards him but Wei Jun had a head start due to the distance between them, and he too, ran at his maximum speed.

Wei Jun in a short while arrived near the area where the hole was and once he was close to it, he stopped. The zombie was storming towards him while everything was in its and soon enough, it appeared in the clearing where Wei Jun was standing.

It didn't slow down in the least and kept running towards Wei Jun. Wei Jun simply stepped back, making his way over the hole with the help of…

[Qi construct]

Once he was on the other side, he dispelled the skill, and just waited for the zombie to arrive. Just as it did, as expected, it fell down. The zombie's hand, as it was falling down, almost scratched Wei Jun's face but Wei Jun remained calm as he had done the necessary calculations.

The zombie fell on the holy bombs at the bottom of the hole, making them explode…

"Gahhh!!!" The zombie screamed out loud but as the system said, it barely received any damage. But it was still hurt, or more like irritated. Wei Jun could see that wherever the zombie the affected by the bomb, the spot sizzled. As if it was a battery water that stung but didn't harm it in the least.

Still, as long as the zombie was focused on that, it wasn't focused on Wei Jun. Wei Jun jumped down the hole and landed on the zombie's back, straddling him from the back.

The hole was narrow, so narrow that the zombie couldn't even fully extend his arms, or even open them slightly.

Wei Jun quickly stabbed the zombie in the neck with the sword in an attempt to cut off its head and end the farce right there and then.

However…

Clang!!!

As if it collided with a metallic surface, a dense and hard metallic surface, the sword bounced back almost immediately.

'The hell…' Before Wei Jun could even be confused about it, the zombie slammed him into the wall behind him. Thanks to the defense, Wei Jun didn't receive any damage but that one hit was equivalent to three hits because his armor's durability went down by three.

That wasn't good news for Wei Jun so Wei Jun tried to penetrate the zombie again but this time, instead of slashing, he tried stabbing it in the neck. While the result was almost as ineffective as last time, the keyword almost made a very big difference.

Sizzle…

Once again, where the sword almost minutely penetrated the zombie, that spot began to sizzle and the rotting smell intensified. So much so that it was difficult for Wei Jun to breathe in the place.

Still, he stomached it all and stabbed the zombie in the same spot again, penetrating a little, very little, deeper inside. As he was focused on that, the zombie once again slammed him back into the wall, a little bit harder this time.

[Armor durability: 87]

Ten points of his durability went down at once.

Wei Jun gritted his teeth despite not feeling any pain. The pain of desperation was more than enough. Wei Jun hurriedly pulled two more bombs from the inventory and threw them to his front, making them explode in front of the zombie's face.

"Guoh!!!!"

The zombie once again grunted in pain and tried to shake the acidic feeling on his face off but clenching his face with his hands. Wei Jun didn't waste even a second and dropped another bomb on the spot where he was trying to penetrate the zombie.

"Ggaahh!!!"

Once again, the zombie screamed in pain but Wei Jun did his best to hold on. The zombie did his best to move his hands behind it but no matter how hard it tried, it couldn't.

Wei Jun took advantage of the tendered meat from the zombie's neck due to the holy bomb and once again stabbed it with his sword. This time, the sword went in by a good one inch. Wei Jun didn't hold back in the least and applied as much as pressure he could, even expending all the Qi he could at the moment and the sword went in by another inch.

"Gahh!!!" The zombie screamed once again and slammed Wei Jun on the back of the hole repeatedly. Wei Jun held on as best as he could but his armor durability was going down with each slam.

Wei Jun pulled out two more bombs to distract the zombie but the zombie this time was more focused on the active pain in its neck rather than the stinging pain of the bombs.

It kept yelling in pain and slamming Wei Jun in the back of the hole until Wei Jun's armor was completely depleted of its durability.

"Argghh!!!" Wei Jun screamed as the armor disappeared into his inventory on its own and his back slammed into the wall, inflicting a great amount of pain on him.

[HP -23]

Wei Jun lost a good chunk of his HP and had it been not for the armor, he would have long since died by now. Wei Jun didn't care for the rest anymore and penetrated the sword as deep as he could until it couldn't go any deeper. But if it couldn't go any deeper, it couldn't come out as well.

It was stuck in the zombie's neck, providing Wei Jun with a hand. Wei Jun hurriedly moved to the other side while still clutching the sword's handle and shoved the remaining three bombs in the zombie's open mouth which was due to the massive pain it was in.

"Just die, you big lug."

Boom!!!

The bombs exploded into the zombie's mouth, inflicting most of the damage on the back of the throat of it. Wei Jun felt his sword move so he hurriedly pushed deeper and finally, the sword was out from the other side of the neck.

The zombie wasn't dead, but now Wei Jun had a saw at his disposal. Before the zombie could even stop screaming, Wei Jun grabbed the other side of the sword with his hand while applying yang Qi as much as he could on it and pulled the sword towards him.

He pulled the sword from the hilt and the top towards him. Every time his yang Qi would dispel due to the damage, he'd employ more of it to avoid his hand from being cut.

All the while the zombie didn't lay idle as well. While it did scream in pain, it inflicted a good amount of pain on Wei Jun as well, making him grunt in pain again and again until his HP was almost zero.

[A healing pill has been consumed]

While he was just halfway through the neck, Wei Jun's HP ran out and he had to use one of his cards. However, that wasn't all. His Qi had run out as well.

He consumed a Qi pill and repeated the ritual, alas, this time, he couldn't consume a pill. He must have been, what, eighty percent through when his injuries were worse than they ever had been.

The worst part was that his Qi had almost run out as well. The green dragon's power was used to heal his injuries almost instantly but that was at the cost of his Qi being fully depleted.

The zombie was still attacking him so he had no other choice. He used his Death Qi.

[HOST!]

[NO!!!]

BOOMM!!!
